Good looks can be deceptive – OK I admit I bought this crap-cam because I thought it looked good. The micro SD card never fitted properly and regularly wouldn’t be recognised by the dash cam, but it worked perfectly fine in other products. Even though it has a GPS, the time and date does NOT automatically record on the camera... it needs to be entered manually each time. The… Read more

date keeps defaulting to 01-01-2014 and when I got bored of correcting it all the time, I decided to turn the time/date stamp off, but even after turning it off it still labelled the file date as 01-01-2014. There were times I wanted to review the video - only to discover it hadn’t been recording. The suction cup regularly falls off denting my dashboard with its impressive metal frame... I threw it away this weekend and bought a Navman which works great, and the SD card works perfectly. Do yourself a favour... buy a Navman instead..!

Less than zero, a complete waste of money from a cheap company – What a pice of trash from a cheap company. First of all they can't even supply enough cable to hide it (like every other company does). Now it is stuck on and the light won't go off. NEVER again will I buy any one of their products, they are garbage, cheap & useless.

Issues with battery – No matter how long we charge this unit it only works when connected to a power supply. This appears to be a regular complaint when reading other reviews. Salesman at Harvey Norman told us this was one of the best units to buy. Think we wasted our money. Happy to hear any suggestions re how to overcome this problem.

No time for this Dashcam – When first bought the internal battery appeared to not be charging. Sent it away to Navig8r at my cost and the battery then seemed to have some charge, so installed. Found if I did not drive for a day or two the battery would go flat then just shows a 1/1/2015 date. The camera works, but controls are not intuitive and with the recording all having… Read more

the same date makes finding footage difficult. Navig8r would not refund my postage when requested which is contrary to the Australian Consumer act. Would never buy a NAvig8r product again. The worst $100 I have ever spent. Replacing with a DOD LS460W as recommended by Choice.

Piece of crap – Do not buy this, from new it doesn't matter how long you charge, the minute you disconnect, the bloody thing turns off due to flat battery, tried to see how I can open and maybe change the battery but so far no luck, the only positive is that its still working after 3 years, though sometime when you connect to pc to view footage there is nothing there even when it clearly show that its recording,.....my advise is to keep your money

Piece of crap – Charged it for over three hours, didn't even turn on when disconnected from the computer. When connected to the computer it would turn on, but it the programming was messed up, couldn't access the basic functions. Was an early Christmas present, looking forward to Boxing day. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Buy a better brand – I bought this camera cause it looked well made, sturdy and a quality build. The first unit I had simply died, and I took it back to place of purchase and they replaced it. The second one worked well for a while, but before it was 12 months old, it too, died. Took that back, got a refund and bought another brand (Vicovation) and have not had a single problem with the Vicovation. If you want a quality, reliable dash cam, do not buy a Navig8r.

Annoying Cam – Mine has lasted just 12 mths, now dead. Buttons work sometimes, unit gets very hot, software is rubbish I used other vid player. Picture is Good and GPS worked well. Cable location is dumb, poor design. Bought from Harvey Norman so off today to get a replacement but not another one of these.

Worth $50 Not $150 – Not worth the money. My next camera will be the cheapest HD 1080 cam I can find or a $300 to $400 Hi end camera. Pros: 1. Nice looking little camera. 2. Small and compact. 3. GPS antenna built into suction holder. 4. 1080 Res. Cons: 1. Software with camera is total rubbish. 2. Instruction manual is rubbish. (but have seen worse) 3.… Read more

GPS data only records half the time.

4. Micro USB plug is the bottom of camera, it should have been put on the top as to make it easier to run the cable under the hood liner without having to bend the cable 180 degrees.

5. When the I turn the ignition on the camera starts, but when I start the car there is a loss of power to the 12v lighter for a split second causing the camera to go to the "Mass Storage" screen and it stops recording. So I have to pull out the power plug, wait for the camera to turn off, then put the power plug back in for it to start recording. The camera needs a setting for delayed start I have discovered.
