Lawson's Traditional Bread White

Flavourless, boring, not thick-sliced as claimed on website – Oh dear...if I wanted flavourless bread I would have purchased bread from Baker's Delight and paid a bit less. Tried it about five times hoping for better. It simply won't do. Back to making my own.

The best bread I have ever eaten – I stumbled across this bread at my local Woolworths and thought I'd give it try. It was perfect, soft white bread, decent size, and the crust was also just right. The slices are so generous that they don't fit in my toaster, but I don't care. Pricing is also usually a bit more than the other brands, but you get what you pay for. I try to look for loaves on special. Other brands just aren't as good, and usually aren't eaten.

Lawson's Traditional Bread White? – What have you done to the bread? It doesn't have the same consistency as it used to. I can't spread soft butter without the bread tearing. I'm very disappointed that you would alter a good product and one can only imagine other Lawson Bread buyers will be upset as well. This was my favorite bread, but not anymore! If this is how the bread will be made in future then count me out. I will not buy it. The local supermarket baked bread is better than this and I'll buy it. Not as good as it used to be! – I have loved Lawson's bread for years, expecially the Seed and Grain. But lately it seems as thought they have bowed to the pressure to produce a more highly processed product. If I wanted something light and soft I would buy Tip Top. I am very sorry to see my favourit bread become like all the rest. I would love to hear from the Manufacturer what their goal is. Thick and chewy with real grains and seeds. It has become more processed this year.

Great Bread all round – We first discovered Lawsons while holidaying in W.A. Since then, our local (Tassmanian) supermarket has been stocking it. As my wife has discovered too much wholegrain and wholemeal bread causes her stomach upsets, we find that Lawson's Traditional Bread White is the best choice. Especially for toasting, but makes great sandwiches when fresh. Wife cuts small bit off for toaster, then uses those bits too. I just cut it in half. great earthy taste bit big for toaster
