This is the best tan I have ever used – I would like to say I tan a lot so I do no a fair bit about tanning I got the le tan bronze gel in the light shade and I absulutley love it the tan goes on excellent with out even useing gloves there was no need as the tan didn't develop straight away as long as u wash your hand after woods I suggest useing a baby wipe or a wet face cloath to wash… Read more
the palms of your hands and u wount have orange hands I also suggest if people are complaing about the gel being to sticky your puting to much on it should rub in like moiusturizer I did not have one problem with patchy skin as I exfoliated well befor applying also moiusturizer befor hand but have used this product befor with out haveing to use moiusturizer so as long as u follow the steps they have on the back u should have no problem with this.
One of the best tans I have used will be defently trying the darker le tan gel absulutley love it :)
I love this product! – I love this product! I bought it at the chemist for only $2 yesterday and I have very fair skin. I applied it in the evening and when I woke up it was flawless and not orange at all. This is a bargain and I'll be buying it again!
Great – I have used all different tanning lotions and i find this one the best i don't get streaks i apply it with a mitt and have had no problems very happy with the gel and will keep using it
So embarrassed – When I used it the first time I woke up looking so orange and patchy-I regularly apply fake tan and never had an issue so I thought ok I'll try it again! Worst decision ever woke up with the strangest stricks!! The colour isn't too bad for my skin but those stricks...horrific!
Can I review minus 1 star? – I bought this product thinking that it was a gradual tan and it would be a lighter and more natural look than most other fake tan products. Wrong! After very careful application where I heavily exfoliated, moisturised around my heels, knees and elbows and carefully applied the product as evenly as possible, I woke up like an Oompa Loompa! I… Read more
was so embarrassed! The colour was a dirty orange, blotchy and streaky and just overall disgusting.
I have been trying to exfoliate off with everything from lemon juice, hairspray, nail polish remover and makeup remover and it's still blotchy and stained. I ended up spraying over it with the le tan instant tan washable tan (which is a really good product by the way).
Please save your money. I threw my bottle in the bin straight away. Still dealing with skanky, orange stereosonic legs. Smell...sort of Streaky, blotchy, bad colour, sticky
Not the best but not the worst! – I used this for the first time after receiving it as an early Christmas present. I find the gel feels amazing going onto the skin and has a cooling feel, the smell is also great. I used a tanning mitt to apply and had a decent result. When I trialed this on a small patch with just my hands it left my fingers used orange and my skin blotchy. Using… Read more
a mitt helped a ton, and made application even and the finish streak free, with normal looking hands. My skin felt fantastic after and smelt nice, it also looked fairly natural, it's just irritating as you can't see where you applied very clearly. A bit pricey, but nothing compared to some other fake tans on the market. Not the best product but not the worst either. I don't like gradual tans at all, but for a gradual tan this product proved itself. Nice smell, moisturizing, semi-natural finish, streak-free finish when applied with mitt Expensive, gradual, bad finish when applied with hands, orange hands after application with hands
Le Tan.... What happened to you?? – I work in promotions, so I need to wear tan all the time as my skin is very pale and blotchy (with blue undertones). I usually use the Le Tan Deep bronze mousse, but saw this won an award so thought it worth a try. I hated that there was no instant tan, you couldn't see where you were applying. There was a lovely cooling effect, but in the… Read more
winter this wouldn't be such a great thing.
I found it quite sticky as it dried, and when the colour developed I was horrified!
I really took my time with application (as I always do), and the colour that came out was really streaky, and very orange. my elbows and knees REALLY soaked up the colour, and are a very dark orange. It looks horrid! had to apply a coat of the mousse to cover it up, now I am SOOOO dark :(
Don't buy!! RUN. I still recommend the mousse, just avoid the gel. Cooling sensation Smell, sticky, uneven colour, patchy elbows and knees, orange result
The worst – I've had some bad experiences with le tan in the past but mainly due to rookie application, so when this was the only tanning product available at the store, I thought I'd give it a go considering its only a gradual tan. Worst mistake! Although the colour wasn't that bad (still patchy) it was my hands that were terrible!! I thoroughly washed my… Read more
hands afterwards and the next morning they were like carrots! I'm assuming its because its a gel and its extremely fast drying but it was just embarrassing! Fast drying Blotchy, orange hands and smelt of tan/vodka
Perfect! – This tanning gel is absolutley great, it doesn't make your hands sticky after use, I applied the gel on over night and woke up with nice bronze legs, it has a nice smell. This product doesn't make you go orange the next day and will ve great for an event coming up or even summer time reliable, works expensive
Never Use – Giving this product 1 star is pushing it. Im going to Bali in 3 days and I thought I'd put on this 'gradual tan' The only upside to the product is the coconut smell. But the next day I woke up to a bright orange colour with blotches and streaks all over, not to mention it wasn't even what so ever. I have used Le Tan's Daily Glow which I love, but I really regret trying this product. Please Whoever reads this do not use!
Horrific! The worst tanning product ever – More expensive than the usual suspects like Dove and Nivea, I thought I'd give this a try, hoping for a more natural colour than the others (almost all of which I've tried). The result was so hideous, I've had to wear tights and long sleeves every single day. I can barely make eye contact with myself in the mirror. I've been traumatised!! … Read more
Without doubt, the single worst tanning product in existence. Despite scrubbing, exfoliating, prepping skin and scrubbing hands afterwards, the residue and staining took almost two weeks of body brushing to even slightly lift.
Horrific carrot orange color, embarrassing looks from people when they saw me change at the gym, it really has everything wrong. From the smell and consistency, to the terrible, appalling results.
The worst streaking I have ever experienced, I was about to call up the company it was so bad, but what are they going to do? I didn't get a receipt, because I didn't think I'd find myself calling up customer care to tell them how bad their product is.
I feel it my duty to let you know, I have never written a poor review til trying this, and wanted you all to save yourselves the mess I found myself in!
Where to begin? Expensive, horrible fake colour, streaky residue, weird smell, greasy, would not come off!!
streaky – well i used it for the first time and I got patches everywhere on my legs and stained hands!! which took forever to come off. It's a great colour but does not spread everywhere I do recommend the coconut sun tan oil rather than this and it isn't very gradual i would go with the instant. I'll use it again to test and re review if everything goes a-ok! great colour patchy, not gradual stains!!
Very decent – I wouldn't use this as a gradual tanner, I use this just like a normal fake tan because you get good results with only one application. The deep bronze gives a nice golden colour which I love. Seldom have I had a bad experience with this tan (and yes, I am a very experienced tan user being very pale myself). The thing that sets this apart from… Read more
lots of other self tanners is that I don't smell all chemically and disgusting the next day. I have even found it better in this regard than fake tans that market themselves as being 'non smelly'. Huge plus for me. Doesn't smell the next day! Lovely bronze colour. Wouldn't nessecarily use as a gradual tanner.

Do Not Recommend – Tried it twice to give a second chance from first attempt = disaster, particular with application however found it to be extremely streaky/blotchy, sticky, orange. The gel application sounds easy although found it was harder to cover more evenly than cream based products. Seems to take a lot longer to dry/set than other products. Definately… Read more
'binning it' and looking for something better. Details about product on label at time of purchase Does not work as advertised
Patchy! – Smells fantastic but really patchy and streaky... And I was very careful with application. Good depth of colour - but like I said, not worth it cos of the patchiness/ streaks. Terrible on wrists/feet/ankles and stains hands!! Avoid!!! Get the mousse but in a deep bronze as the bronze Doesn't have much colour! Smells nice Patchy!!!!
Really streaky! – This product dries quickly and smells really great. But after about 6 hours (or overnight if you sleep with it on) it comes up horribly streaky! I've tried applying it so many times, thinking it was me that was applying it badly. But every time it comes up horrible, streaky and uneven! Don't bother, a real waste of money. Dries quickly, inexpensive, smells great Streaky, strange colour
Le Tan Tanning Gel – I found it quite hard to apply this tanning lotion evenly and so have ended up with streaks - pretty uncool. Despite washing my hands with soap after applying the tan, I have also ended up with orange fingers which is a bit embarrassing, I really hope it fades soon. On the up-side, it smells really good, but I wouldn't buy it again. Inexpensive, smells nice Left streaks, hard to wash off
