Why does my unit leak water on floor is there a tray i must empty or is there ment to be a hose for the water

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

Hi Frances ,unless there’s a leak in the tank that is causing the water leak, this could be a possibility but I am not exactly sure because I am not a expert in this area.Or,unless your air conditioner is the same brand but a different model than mine,it could be a possibility that your model air conditioner does need a drip tray for your machine What I would suggest you to do is check with the company or manufacturer to confirm this. This is all I can suggest you to do.Tango might no longer be making those products and could have shut there buisiness down and no longer make those machines. I would suggest that you try and google all the information that you can and see if another organisation or company has taken over there buisiness or see if you can get a air conditioner machanic that might be able to service your machine or give you a idea on what is wrong with it and the costs involved in getting it fixed. But keep in mind that sometimes it might cost more to get the machine fixed rather then buy a new machine.Sometimes it works out cheaper to buy a new machine rather then get the old machine fixed.Only you can make that decision with getting a informed choice either from a air conditioner machanic or the company or if the company has closed down to see if you can find any other company that could have possibly taken over that company.Sometimes companies go into liquidation or administration and another company buys that company out and takes over that business so it’s important to do your research and find that information out because another buisiness could have taken over that business and trading under another name. The best advice I can give you would be to get a qualified air conditioner machanic to look at it or tell him or her your problem and see what they have to say about it.This is all the advice I can give you.Anyway I hope you make the right choice that is right for you.

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

I know longer have a tango air conditioner,I gave it to my support worker and I purchased another brand and a more powerful machine. As far as I know that tango might no longer be in business but a experienced qualified air conditioner mechanic might be able to give you the best advice on what to do about your situation . I strongly suggest you make inquiries by looking for a qualified air conditioner machanic in your area and tell them about your situation and ask them what advice they can give you and then you can make a informed decision. This is all the information I can give you.

Tango might have shut there buisiness down and no longer is making those products or machines.

Unfortunately these days there are a lot of businesses and services that do shonky deals in there buisinesses and services so it’s important to check that it’s a legitimate, regulated or registered business.

How do i empty water from unit and im missing plug so it leaks water eveywhere

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

You will need to get a plug and firmly secure the plug carefully into the machine. The machine should have wheels so you should carefully unplug the machine from the power socket and disconnect the air hose from the machine. Then what you should do is slowly wheel it carefully to the bathroom or laundry or near the drain or somewhere outside, undo the plug and slowly tilt the machine carefully until all the water has drained from the tank.Once this has done, you should carefully and firmly put the plug back in the tank and make sure it’s tightly secured as this could be a reason why the machine is leaking water. This is all the advice I can give you. I am not sure if this is what the problem is but I am only going on based on what you are saying.Anyway, I really hope that you find a solution to your problem. I hope you have a good day today and I hope that this could be a problem that can be solved?Goodluck with trying to resolve this problem.

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

If you can’t resolve your complaint with the company or any other business involved,I would suggest to speak to fair trading about your concerns or any other consumer organisationss that might be available or able to assist you with resolving your complaint with buisinesses and services.

Why does my unit leak water on floor is there a tray i must empty or is there ment to be a hose for the water

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

Hi Frances, I am not exactly sure because I didn’t experience that problem when I had the same product. I do know that when I gave my tango air conditioner to my support worker because I upgraded to a more powerful air conditioner,he did say he experienced a similar problem. He did say that the rubber plug was flimsy and he put a screw in it to fix the problem. I don’t know if that fixed the problem but if you explain the problem to a hardware store, they might have a solution to your problem. It might be simply because the rubber plug has worn and might need to spend a couple of dollars to get a new plug for the tank. I do know that if the water tank is full, the machine should shut down and you would have to empty the water tank through the drain or outside. I am not sure if that model machine can have a hose attached to it and let the water drain outside through the hose? I just know when I had a machine like yours I didn’t have any problems until around let’s until about 8 to 10 years but for that long, over time back in those days it’s more than likely that you would begin to have problems. It might need to be serviced but sometimes it’s important to understand that sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a brand new machine than get the old one fixed so you should keep that in mind.So it’s worth getting a quote to see how much it would cost to get fixed unless i

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

Unless it’s under warranty then the manufacturer should fix it free of charge. The only other problem I can think of is that on really hot days the water tank can sometimes need to be emptied regularly let’s say every two to six hours or more or less depending on how hot the temperature is on that day due to how hot the temperature is on certain days and also how much the size is in the room the machine is in.It’s also important to understand that is that machine fit for the purpose in your home as it might be the wrong design for your home so it’s important to keep that in mind. You need to find out is it powerful enough to do the job for your dwelling? Are you living in a house or unit? These are the things you need to take into account when purchasing an air conditioner. So you might sometimes need to empty the water tank sometimes every couple of hours depending on how much water is in the tank and how hot the temperature is in your local area as some locations are hotter locations than others. This is all the information I can give you. I hope you find a solution to your problem.Bye for now.

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

The last thing you need to understand is the machine powerful or fit for the purpose for your home?As well as taking into account how hot the climate is in your local area and how often you will use the machine ?

Remember that it’s a machine and not a toy.So if you look after the machine, the machine should look after you.

I don’t have a answer to your problem but if it’s still under manufacturer warranty, the company should fix it free of charge.

My tango cuts off when using air-conditioning mode

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

Hi Stuart,in my experiences using a Tango portable air conditioner it’s normal for any air conditioner to do this once it’s got to the required temperature and then when the room temperature begins to warm up again the thermostat should kick in automatically. I recently upgraded to a new aircon because there was a bit of a squeaky noise problem with the product. To me it seemed to be something minor wrong with it and I gave my old air conditioner to someone who said he got a quote for $200.00 to get it fixed . I upgraded my air conditioner because I was looking for a air conditioner that’s just a bit more powerful than the one I had and in my opinion, the more powerful it is,the less strain on the motor and the motor won’t have to work as hard to do the same job.Anyway it’s up to you what ever decision you make but you have to make the right choice that’s right for you. I had that Tango portable air conditioner for around 8 to 10 years and that was the only problem with that product. I hope you have a good day today and thankyou for letting me have my say.Bye for now?

Greg Richardson
Greg Richardson

Unfortunately these days there are a lot of businesses and services that do shonky deals and they don’t care who they walk all over just as long as they make a fast buck for them selves.Wether it’s faulty batches or a fault with that particular model or product or simply because it’s just a dud and this can happen to anyone when buying brand new products.A genuine honest business or person would not do this especially when it’s shonky deals so please keep this in mind when making decisions with buying purchases. There are a lot of businesses and services that don’t care who they walk all over just as long as they make a fast buck for them selves so it’s important to keep this in mind.
