Victoria and they have no authority or interest in pursuing a claim on your behalf.

The upshot was a ridiculous statement by the LG representative who said “we believe that we have upheld our obligations according to Australian Consumer Law..........but we believe that you should get more that 5 years of service from one of our televisions. We won’t support you with any claims from this point on."

Agree with other people who provided a negative review about LG, better to buy a cheaper TV and steer clear of LG. Looking at a Hisense who provide at least a 3 year warranty.

Perfect tv – We bought this tv two years ago & very happy with the picture quality. 4g quality of this tv is quite impressive & the colours are so genuine. Problems with internal speakers – I bought this unit from JB HiFi and was very happy with it initially. After few months, the speakers started making funny sounds and one side of speaker was completely gone. I had to book a technician and the speaker was changed for free as the unit was still under warranty. I hope a good brand like LG needs to fix this issue.  Show details

Value for money – We bough LG 55 inch smart TV from Harvi Harvey Norman On special price. We got the TV delivered and installed for free. TV is pretty good quality and easy to access. Only issue I feel is sound settings. If I increase the volume to hear dialogues properly during background music it gets too loud. Still haven’t found solution for this. Value for Money – Very happy with this LG television so far. We have had it for almost 12 months now and no issues. LG doesn't have a very good reputation overall but this TV proves it all to be wrong. Don't judge a book by it's cover! This television seems to be cheaper than others but works just as well. Great picture quality for price – Smart TV 4K has useful apps like Netflix and all the catch up tv apps like SBS On Demand. I prefer the HD picture quality for free to air as opposed to the 4K TV. Have my unit connected to sound system for better sound quality. Great product and design – This TV has clear and crisp colours, so clear even old movies look good on it. Easy to set up and mount on wall. Operating system and apps are easy to use, I now watch YouTube on it, even my 6 year old browse through apps and chanels without problems.  Show details

Excellent product – This smart tv is cheaper than most and works just as well. I'm not super picky about televisions so if you are after a good basic one that has all the basic functionality, eg connects to internet, Netflix, etc. Then this is all you need. Good TV – The TV set itself is hard to fault; however, not the same could be said about the remote control. It is a rather daunting task to use the cursor to access the screen or programme you are looking for. Besides, the characters displayed are also too much too small for my liking.  Show details

it's turned on and send the picture to LG team so that they can check the cause. LG told us that a technician will be visiting us to check the problem. No one truned up for couple of days . We contact LG again they didn't gave us satisfactory answer . Two days later one girl called us from LG repair center and told us that she review the pictures we sent and they find out its LCD that is cracked from inside. It doesn't come under warranty and we have to pay for the repair . The cost of repair was almost the full price of the brand new TV .

Worst part of the whole process was that no technician or representative from LG visit us to check the matter And they give their one sided decision. The screen was not even broken so it was a software problem.

Don't buy LG TV for peace of mind coz it's Ur hard earned money.

Good value for money – We purchased this a few months ago from bing lee after we has sony tv for many years. The price was great and the picure quality is phenomenal for this price bracket. some juddering at 60 fps. Secondly, the contrast ratio, although good, could be slightly better for a TV in this price range. Thirdly, motion blur and input lag, although both satisfactory, could be better. And fourthly, the sound is good, but could be quite a bit louder.

Amazing picture quality – I am extremely satisfied with the picture quality, I have always used LG and am very happy with this product. Speakers are OK but would still suggest adding extra to really improve the movie quality experience. Better than I expected for price – For such a low price, I had low expectations. However the functionality is fantastic - you get a web browser, lots of apps and you can record live tv!. Only thing is that there is only 1 USB port. It hasn't been an issue for me so far, as I have only needed one - to watch shows from my USB or to record onto it.

The picture quality is excellent in my opinion, and 4K Netflix or UHD Blu Ray content (through an XBox One S) are sharp and detailed. Friend's 4K TVs I've seen seem to suffer from over saturation, not sure if they're not configured properly but the image almost looks unreal & it takes you out of the immersion of the movie - a bit like you're standing on set watching the action, rather than having the sheen of the cinema screen over the top of it. The LG panel in this series has an excellent image, and the refresh rate is high enough to suit gaming and fast action. Gaming on this screen in non-gaming mode had fairly noticeable screen tearing, which disappeared as soon as I toggled game mode on.

I haven't tested the TV's in built speaker as I have a surround sound setup already, which caused some issues as the AV receiver I use isn't 4K compatible - the TV has enough (3) HDMI2 inputs to cope though, so all my components are now connected directly to the TV itself, and the TV is configured to run all audio out to the receiver via optical cable.

Pros: Cheap, high quality image, low energy use. Smart OS menu is snappy, configuratble and intuitive

Cons: Smart Remote compatible but didn't come with one in the box ($70ish additional to get one). No 3D support, either active or passive

Great Quality with Reasonable price!! – Picture quality very satisfying and very bright, even the detail of the graphic is very good and clear. easy to use – Picture is average sound is below average. LG need to improve the picture quality when watching normal standard definition. With high defination is ok. Ports are easy to access.wish it has more hdmi. Operating system is a bit slow need a bit to improve from LG. some mportant apps is not available at this stage such as foxtel play.
