Great fridge freezer – I have had this fridge freezer for 7 years and it has been very reliable. Good amount of storage. Many shelves and compartments make it easy to organise. Ice compartment good. Fridge freezing – Bought this fridge just on 3 years ago, and now the fridge compartment has started freezing up. Called various fridge repairers, and the only one that was interested in looking at it, claims it is the "baffle" and needs to be replaced at approximately $500 + the $155 service fee. And have to wait another 7 working days for the part to be ordered… Read more

in. Never heard of a "baffle" so not sure if this is just another money spinner?

Extremely disappointing to only get this amount of time from this fridge! Believe we are better spending the extra money and buying another fridge, then to risk having to spend more on this again.

Review Update

After being contacted by LG to try and repair my fridge/freezer, they arranged the services of Endeavour Fridge Repairs to come out and inspect the fridge. After waiting over half the day for the technician, I made contact with LG to confirm the technician was still coming. They told me that Endeavour said I called them to inform them that I couldn't be there today and would rebook, which I never did. I called Endeavour and the lady said I called and cancelled. When I informed her that I didn't call, she said they must have placed the note on the wrong job. I informed her that I took a day off work to be here, so this was now costing me money. She said she would call the technician to see if he could make it today.

Endeavor called me back to let me know that they could not make it today, and in fact where I live is out of their service area, and would not come out until LG authorized extra fees. So they were never coming out, and I believe the "so called" cancellation by myself, was conveniently produced, to cover the "no show" today.

Disgraceful level of service, and would never buy another LG product again.

LG GS-B679PL – My only complaint about this fridge is the stainless steel does show finger print marks, eek. But the fridge and freezer has plenty of space, I can fit the Kmart food trays in the shelves which makes it super easy to clean the fridge because the trays can fit in the dishwasher. any breaks or cracks. It beeps when the doors are open too long which can be a tad annoying but it is handy if you have forgotten. It freezes and chills evenly and I have never experienced any frost build up or freezing in the fridge etc. it's super handy being able to contextualise your settings and lock them to minimise any little fingers messing with the settings. It opens and closes well, we have never had any issues with the rubbers and I truly love my fridge.

LG fridge worked good till the warranty finished – This model of fridge we have bought of LG worked fine till the end warranty finished. There reason to buy was as the capacity in litter was high. but we did realise that when the summer hits high in australia the milk product stored in fridge door spoils which is a shame.  Show details

Best Fridge I've ever had – Keeps everything perfect temperature. Plenty of room for everything - and I love to cook to always have a full fridge and freezer. Love that the freezer has shelving as well as a couple of bottom drawers for meat but you can easily see whats in the freezer on the shelves - easier when looking what you need before shopping.  Show details

Good just good – The fridge maintains a good temp but a few months ago the freezer started to freeze over so I called a service person out to check it and the reply was that it was leaking freon they would take it and repair it at a cost between 600 to 800 dollars depending what they found. Called LG and complained that it was only 3 weeks out of warranty after days of calling around the said that LG will repair it at no cost to me.  Show details

bottle nearly hit my daughter on the head. It turns out the shelves are only held on by 2 little plastic tabs. After speaking with lg about this and voicing my concerns for the safety of my, and other consumers safety i was told it would not be investigated as it was most likely my fault.

Excellent Quality with attractive price – I have been using this Fridge since 2015 has it never fails me. When I bought it, it's the cheapest among all side to side fridges. However, the quality is good and the appearance is exactly what I was looking for - easy, simple and good looking. inside both sides of the unit is fabulous, being able to see everything clearly. We decided to spend a little more than other model fridges for the quality and longevity of service, and are happy we did. Sometimes you need to spend a bit more to save money in the long run.

Great Fridge but some annoying things – Fridge/Freezer works great. Its quite quiet. Love the wider door storage. Freezer works very fast when using function. always having to stack items to get things to fit in.

- Freezer ice cube maker is very annoying to fill/put in without spilling water each time. Use old school ice cube trays. (My last fridge had old school ones but slid into a specific area under a shelf. I miss that too.

Keeps things cold – Bought this fridge 4 months ago and have found it to be really good at keeping the food cold. Shelves are set at regular heights and not much movement in it. Milk won't stand up on top shelf - only in the door where it is not as cold. Have noticed that the stainless steel scratches very easily and we have no idea of how the scratches are appearing. Great fridge – We purchased this fridge for our new home a few months ago.It comfortably caters for our family of 4. Its tempered glass is a breeze to clean and it has a surprisingly big storage space. I did notice that the middle rubber seal occasionally feels a little hot...but not alarmingly hot. electronic board in top of the fridge) that will deal with a design problem which is ice build up in the freezer section. all in all a very good brand (we have a much older LG that is in the garage and still works) but I'm not sure if I'd buy again or recommend this particular model.

Happy with it – We've had the fridge for over a year. It's easy to keep clean. No problems with frosting up in the freezer. The vegies stay fresh. The drawer space is great. Strong sturdy glass shelves. Door shelves are well spaced. Freezer is a great size. The crisper drawers are hard to remove for cleaning. The lowest crisper drawer doesn't come out far enough to put vegies like a lettuce into.

Good value, stylish yet practical design – Have had it 3 weeks & really like the extra draw for fruit & veg, plus the beep to remind the kids to get out of it is good. The freezer space is really good for all types of food. The thick glass shelving is stylish & can hold a stack of stuff.
