I bought this 65" TV to replace a cheaper, smaller 4k brand expecting vast improvements at three times the price of the old unit. I was very disappointed: I quickly found it would not play my 4k MKV movies I enjoyed on my previous TV. The set-up menus are totally counter-intuitive and complicated to navigate. After a power outage it gratuitously rearranged all my home screen apps and now will not allow me to reset these unless I sign in! Trouble is my sign-in details have also been corrupted/forgotten as well! I am no novice and have set up numerous TV's for ourselves and friends, but this one has utterly defeated me to the extent I am already considering replacing it after two months. Stay away!!
Two things about this purchase 1) the manual, which you have to search for on line, is useless. Google gives better information than the official manual. 2) From experience you can not use this machine unless you create an account with LG. Now that seems harmless, however, as we were told, when we purchased the device, by the salesman, Data mining of peoples personal details is the highest and most desirable thing these days. Companies collect your data and on sell it. I am totally annoyed not only do we pay for a product but we are in turn sold Turns my stomach and that it is condoned by society and Govt truly annoys me.

Defective out of the box, big streak across the top of the screen, doesn’t matter what I play through on the TV’s OS or on my PS5 permanently there, frustrating, but to make it worse the store I got from is out of stock and I have to wait for them to order from the manufacturer, probably looking at a month delivery turnaround unbelievable frustrating, I feel I should send LG a labour bill for now having to repackage their broken tv then wait a month just so I can receive a tv I’ve already paid for. I should add interest to however long it takes to get my tv.
Received replacement this one doesn’t have a streak across the top, looks good and performs well mostly unfortunately I looked too close and found a semi dead pixel, it’s black on white, grey and red. I think it will be barely noticeable properly wouldn’t have found it if I wasn’t inspecting the screen due to the first TV, clearly LG has some major Quality control issues. Considering what you pay dead pixels shouldn’t even be a thing, this tv will be the first and last LG product I buy.
