After years of cheap "hand me down" TV's, I saved $3000 up to buy my first decent TV from a reputable brand. A 55inch LG OLED. The picture was incredible. Now 5 years into ownership @ 10,000 hours the entire border of the TV has thousands of dead black pixels. Out of warranty so LG doesn't care. Their solution "try pixel refresher daily". Didn't work, actually made the problem worse. Don't expect LG panels to last very long.

Excellent TV with a slightly annoying remote – After hours of research, I decided to buy this LG mid-range OLED smart TV, as it seemed like the best value for money. What a good decision! I absolutely love it! The picture quality is excellent and the sound is pretty good even without a sound bar! I always thought that my previous LED TV was good, but this just blows my mind. If you're not sure about OLED, all I can say is Go for it, it's well worth it! The slight issue I have is the remote. The LG magic remote is missing a few crucial buttons, for example rewind and fast forward, and there should be a designated button for 'last channel' instead of it sharing the button with 'back'. But these are really small issues. If you find a good deal, then I don't think you'll regret buying it! Obviously it's worth checking the exact details on the LG website, but all in all, it's got all the bells and whistles a modern OLED smart TV should have, and they all work well!
