Constant Updates make tv unusable – Here are some accurate facts: 1. The tv is awesome. 2. LG pushes updates and you cannot use the tv until you address the update. 3. LG require your phone number before they allow you to lodge a complaint. And here is me being objective: TV is good. LG are a typical big corporation with typical big corporation crap to deter people from lodging a complaint. Show details
Simultaneously the most expensive and most unreliable TV – - TV had a an issue within one month of ownership. A lighter third of the screen, like burn in; however, I did not watch an image of a rectangle for the limited 100 hours of use of the TV. - LG support had me run the pixel refresher thing repeatedly to 'remove' the stained third. This function is supposedly required after 2000 hours of use. - I… Read more
argued this shouldn't have happened so early in the TV's life and with few hours of use, so I wanted a replacement. It's a premium TV, and you're buying and OLED for the picture quality, right? If it doesn't have that, then what have you paid for? LG had a service centre take the TV for a month or so, did nothing, then gave it back. I felt like the TV was overall not as bright as it used to be. - The TV developed a row of stick pixels after about 10 months of use, probably because the panel was dying from day one and LG should have replaced it. - LG support wasted my time by having me run the pixel refresher thing again, once a day for seven days. They're stuck pixels. This did nothing. - A service was arranged for the TV. Took a long time for the service centre to actually come and get it. - The TV died completely while I was waiting for service. No longer turning on. - I asked for a refund of LG and Harvey Norman and was rejected on the basis of 'No'. The decision took months. LG Support also asked the TV be sent to the service centre for assessment for a refund and had it repaired without my authorisation and in explicit contradiction of my request for refund. - After the unauthorised repair came to light, I asked LG Support if I could perhaps have an extension to the warranty period instead of a refund, given the range of faults I had with the TV in such a short period. LG Support said "It doesn't work that way". Clearly LG are committed to the limited lifespan of exactly one year. - Unrelated, but the apps crash all the time so you're basically required to hook up an Apple TV or something, if you value your time. - Looking forward to the remaining few months of ownership before it dies again, now out of warranty.
In summary, if you'd like to have a only few brief glimpses of your TV between issues for the limited warranty period of one year, consider the LG C2! And at just 4 times the price of a regular 65" TV, how can you pass up such an opportunity? All these exciting privileges and more in the world of premium LG TV ownership.
Screen quality is good, UI is horrible and slow – The screen quality is great. Unfortunately the webOS UI is not great and the app selection is limited. The tv also has a very slow response time. Apps take a long time to load. The magic pointer will reset your chat box/login page when activated. This happens quite a lot by accident since the enter/ok button also resets the magic pointer when… Read more
scrolled/rolled up. To solve my issues I will have to buy a google ChromeCast and remote.
I contacted LG support in regards to my issues, they recommend I buy the LG standard remote which will solve the issues with the magic pointer.
Plays up too much – Xbox goes into 480p mode. Apps always crash. Update update update. Crash crash crash. Tv software is so slow. I thought the tv would be better. Cartoons look good, but live shows look average. Pretty disappointed as most reviews praise this tv. Show details
Best TV so far – Visually to date this is the best television I've owned + almost good sound. An ultra sharp image - very smooth motion - super dark blacks. It maybe bit too smart a TV - takes time to get the hang of it & the remote. Should be 2 remotes - the one it comes with + a simple remote for easy use. 2 original screen savers can't be removed, even when… Read more · 1
you add more. I'd like to know how to remove the LG channel & some original Apps. Finnicky blue-tooth. No TV is perfect - but this is getting close. To Tony from Penrith - thanks for your help + a great deal.
This is the pinnacle gaming TV (for now) – How is there not more reviews for this TV? The LG C2 is the best TV for console gamers. I would assume also suits those angling to plug a PC in. The Sony OLED and Samsung S95B aren't bad, but are missing some features by comparison. (Samsung does not yet support Dolby Vision) Plug in an Xbox Series X for all green Ticks, dolby vision included.… Read more
Plug in a PS5, and all visual features are supported. Brightness is excellent. Contrast is excellent. VRR (variable refresh rate) 120fps/hz at 4k through all inputs Dolby vision
Yes, it's bright enough to clearly view in bright rooms.
Audio is ok, get a soundbar? On that note, my LG soundbar does not consistently get picked up by the HDMI-eARC and turn on as the TV audio. When using an eARC soundbar, there's no visual indicator of how high the volume is, leading to sudden surprises of very high volume. - To counter this, turn the TV on first, then game consoles, don't let the consoles turn the TV on.
Cracked screen – This tv is flimsy I pulled it out the box was gentle as possible looked at the screen at it was cracked. Lg said it was not there fault and a crack is not covered under warranty. I would advise people not to buy this product you are going to waste 9 grand you are better off buying a falcon tv instead. Show details
