I was after a vacuum that was decently priced, had strong suction, came with a stand, a spare battery and not a bucket load of useless attachments, this was certainly a winner for me!! I bought it on sale and have zero regrets, it's perfect, does a fantastic job is easy to use and to lean. It comes with a head that cleans both hard floors and carpets and a crevice tool and that was all I wanted. I would highly recommend this product and it's a bonus if you find it on sale!
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $499.

This LG stick vacuum is great. We have it now for about 5-6 years, and it just keeps on going. I am even still using the original two batteries that it came with. We use it 99% of the time with the soft rotating head on hard floors, and most of the time with the power boost function. Almost always one battery is enough, no need to swap. The unit has a set of heads for carpets etc, but we rarely use those. We have a bagged Miele vacuum that takes no nonsense from a carpet! The LG stick is easy to use, easy to extend, sits well in the charging stand, and easy enough to clean. I do however have to spend 30min once in a while to clean the soft rotating head (depending on circumstances, but maybe once a year, sometimes a bit more). A family member has an equivalent Dyson, and they admit the LG is the better of the two. I am not anti-Dyson, but I think their marketing is stronger than their engineering :)
