Broken Stick just out of warranty. Very disappointed as we moved away from Dyson. Show details
Follow-up · LG Customer Support solved the problem by replacing the broken stick.
Wand has literally snapped half 3 times in 3 years!!!!!! First 2 times was fixed under LG warranty. 3rd time I am battling with Harvey Normans Produce Care which was purchased with the vacuum. Show details
LG A9T CordZero including Tower I’ve owned the LG A9T CordZero since November 2022, using it daily on tiled and hard floors. After almost three years, here’s my honest take. Pros: - Tower Design – Freestanding (no wall mount) and seamless when the stick vacuum is docked. It stores all nozzle attachments, provides easy access to the auto-empty… Read more
bin, and even charges a second battery.
- Power Settings – Three modes (Normal, Power, Turbo). Power/Turbo easily handle daily cleaning; “Normal” seems more about marketing since runtime is the only advantage.
- Excellent Hair Pickup – The brush head collects hair without tangling, and debris coils neatly in the bin for effortless emptying.
- Adjustable & User-Friendly – Multiple extension arms, a comfortable grip, and a clear digital battery gauge suit different users.
- Low Maintenance – Most parts are easy to access and replacement components are available.
Cons: - Brush Head Cleaning – The clear plastic section around the brush motor is a nightmare to clean. LG provides no manuals or tutorials beyond the roller, filter and bin chamber maintenance.
- Brush Head Wheels – The brush head wheels broke off in the 2nd year, leaving the head nearly flush with the floor and harder to maneuver. My 8-year-old Dyson still has its wheels. Replacement parts are hard to source, with only questionable third-party options ($10–$20 AUD).
- Poor Spare-Parts Website – LG’s website is confusing, making it difficult to confirm part compatibility.
Warranty Experience: No warranty claims in nearly three years. The vacuum still runs well, and I consider the missing wheels normal wear and tear.
Would I Buy It Again? Probably not. While it’s a stylish, capable package for the price, the brush head’s design and fragile wheels are deal-breakers. Cleaning the motorhead cover is tedious, and wheel loss is a common issue among other owners.
Great vacuum and features let down by reliability and warranty service – I had this about 11 months and motor died. Tried contacting LG online for warranty service. After following an inordinately complicated process that seemed to be completely pointless, I ended up using the chat to speak to a rep. The first time I was fobbed off and told I needed video evidence and they did not raise a case for me to reference. So… Read more
once I had a video of the problem, I started again. Finally I got given an email address to send the video too. Turns out they have a low limit on file size and are unable to download larger files via links. All of this took several weeks of back and forth to confirm. Finally I was able to send them a video under 10Mb (challenging to demonstrate a problem with a very small time frame to work with) After several more weeks and a follow up someone contacted me by phone while I was at work, planning to talk me through some troubleshooting steps. As I wasn't able to access the vacuum, I asked them to send me the steps and as an afterthought to describe them to me over the phone. Given the nature of the questions it was clear they hadn't viewed the video provided. Not to mention the troubleshooting they suggested may have been useful if I'd never used a vacuum before but otherwise they were useless. After all of the rigmarole over nearly 2 months, I was told I would need to take it to a service centre. I am close to the Brisbane CBD so I was surprised the only service centres available aren't actually in Brisbane but Redcliffe and Redlands Bay, both around 40 minutes away. They are both also conveniently only open from 9-5 weekdays so if I wish to actually get a service done under warranty by LG, I need to take a day off work and travel out of Brisbane.
The entire warranty service process and structure seems designed to deter as many people as possible from undertaking what is a sisiphian task.
It's unfortunate because the vacuum cleaner and the auto emptying tower are fantastic. As it is I'll never buy an LG vacuum again (or an OLED TV- but that's another story...)

The WORST vaccum I have suffered and spent good money on – I was unhappy with this so called 'top of the range LG Stick vacuum from the start but left it too long to return it. Today after only about 1.5 years I am binning it. It is shocking waste at a cost of $1,400. It is actually the model before the one I've provided the link to. The batteries have died, and I would now be up for $100/200 each for new… Read more
ones. This machine is OK on carpet but hopeless on wood or tiles - it simply blows the dust out of its way! It would not even pick up a crumpled dead leaf off the floor! The inlet pipe to the barrel is so small that it gets constantly blocked with anything but the smallest of material - probably only good for dust and that's about it! This means that in the middle of cleaning you need to stop and dig around with a bamboo skewer to dig the blockage out. I live in a VERY small house, with no children or pets so my cleaning is not that tough, but I'd have to empty the barrel 3x in one clean! One of its selling points appeared to be the many tools that come with it - all of them absolutely useless! It would not even clean my car carpets so I dug an old barrel vac out of my shed to get the job done. I can't express my fury strongly enough at being sold such a lemon!
Stay away from LG VACUUMS & The Good Guys Narre Warren! – Stay away! Don’t trust it, don’t buy it! Bought this vacuum through the good guys in Narre Warren and only a year and a half later it has completely died. Took it back to the store, they sent it off for repairs and 1 month later they have told me it has 2 faulty batteries and I need to purchase new ones at $110 each battery. I also paid for the… Read more
“gold concierge service” which means absolutely nothing! Absolute waste of an additional $200! The store have done nothing about it, they also rang to ask the LG representative that looks after the store if they would do anything and they also said no.
Don’t bother buying LG PRODUCTS as you won’t be covered for anything and they clearly aren’t concerned about keeping customers and same with The Good Guys!
