Awesome Service – Given the complexity of today's electronic products, it is inevitable that we occasionally have the odd failure. Unfortunately dealing with the vendor can be a very frustrating and time consuming affair. Well LG just raised the bar. My magic remote started to have intermittent issues and after putting off the support call for a couple of months, I finally took the plunge. The call centre was polite empathetic and efficient dispatching a replacement remote which I received within 48. I can't recommend the service and product enough - Well done LG
LG 84" 4K UHD TV Expensive Paper Weight – Disappointed after spending almost $15,000 on a TV only now to be told it needs to be HDR capable for me to get the benefit of true picture quality. Can understand if this was a cheap TV. seriously annoyed at LG and technology in general. So, my newly acquired HDR capable network receiver and Blu Ray Player plus discs are just a waste of money. Not Happy!!!!!

Impressive picture and sound – The picture is super clear even in rooms with bright sun light. There are so many adjustment to the picture quality that you can fine tune it exactly as you like for your room and most of the pre-set modes work well with different shows. also the viewing angle is great the picture quality is just as good from the side as it is in the middle you can actually watch it side on.
I connected my computer which has a 4K graphics card to stream some 4K video and games and it's brilliant.
no delay on fast action scenes and the colors just pop out.
the 3D is also good with such a big screen the impact is fantastic. You can use passive glasses like the movies so there's no charging up glasses and they are light and easy to wear. it also converts normal TV to 3D but only some programs are good to watch like that.
The sound is equally brilliant we have a big room and I connect it to my amp with high end speakers but even without using the amp the TV's speakers are great I have never had to set the volume above 25% and that's during a quiet movie. listening to news or normal TV at 10% is already high. There is also a lot of sound modes that are quick to change.
It's easy to use and the wireless smart remote can be used from any room. it also has voice control which works well with skype and to get the TV to do many functions like record a program. and it has lots of connections also both wired and wireless I can connect my phone and stream movies and photos in 4K there's also a lot of movie streaming apps and if I cant get the app I want I just stream it from my PC.
BEST TV I've ever had.
Excellent images and sound, very easy to set up and use – This TV is huge. It weighs over 60kg and needs a supporting stand of over 1.8m, so you need a movie theatre to put it in. But if this is what you are after, you cannot go wrong with this set. The images are very clear and sound is excellent. I expected it to be good with the latest movies and 3D state-of-the-art BluRay discs, but it's also extremely good at upscaling your old television shows and Audrey Hepburn movies etc. Anything of low resolution will look better on this set than just about anything else in your house. It doesn't just blow up dead space, it interpolates it into a higher resolution with great results.
Once you get over the slightly terrifying experience of lifting it up on to your stand or table, then it's very easy to set up and use. Make sure you have two strong and tallish people to do the job, and use a strong stand, or better yet, screw together some smaller flat-pack cubes and use the combined strength to support the set.
The Magic Remote takes a bit of getting used to but once you have worked it out, then it's simple.
The 3D is totally amazing, and makes it worth buying a few extra discs just to enjoy this particular feature. The set has excellent built-in sound with surround and effects, so if you don't want to connect it to a sound system, you don't have to. However there are plenty of connections on the back for you to choose your favourite set up.
You need to sit a minimum of 2 metres to get the best picture out of it, otherwise you will notice grain and artefacts that aren't visible further away. At 4 metres it is awesome.
Highly recommended for home theatre owners.
Brilliant – My husband and I got this tv about a month ago. Yes it was expensive but so worth every penny. The clarity is unbelievable, the features are unmatched and the sound is just beautiful. Having the web OS is another amazing feature because we can use the internet, SKYPE, and a million other things especially since it has a little built in camera. I am actually thinking of getting the 84 inch for our theater, its just that good. Would definitely recommend to those who can afford it. The only con I can think of is that LG havent released the special wall mounting bracket ( Because the speakers sit back from the tv on the sides so it needs to be out further than most LCDs... ) Everything Heavy, hard to find wall brackets
