Awesome tv till it wasn’t – Very happy with the lg tv but unfortunately under 4 years the main board has failed as per lg service. Was a good tv in all aspects but under 4 years is disappointing. LG - no brand pride, they dont care about their brand or their customers – LG - never again My LG 49" tv which had hardly been used started getting a blue tint. may be due to bad supplier or bad designs by over driving the LED's. This pretty much is guaranteed to happen on any tv using these faulty leds/design and happens even with little use. If you are "lucky", it happens within your 1 year warranty period, however, if it happens outside of that, LG are pretty clear its not their problem. Infact they are so clear they even state "there is no known issues with these tv's" (google, youtube and even reviews on the LG websites says otherwise). with many companies, you would think they wouldnt want such a problem with their brand, but LG doesnt care about their brands or their customers. In some countries, this is what you call class action, extended warranty on a specific defect (think about MS and the red ring of death etc) or a product recall (even aldi does this on their brands...).
One thing a LCD tv needs to be fit for purpose is a working backlight. If the backlight is due to fail just after the warranty period expiring, i would strongly argue that the TV was not fit for purpose....I can happily use my laptop 8 hours a day for 10 years and the screen led's do not turn blue, no other tv's i know of turn blue after only afew years - its pretty clear LG stuffed up badly and this kind of stuff up isnt something that should be happening these days...
Sadly, appears LG has a strong history of this fault with their tv's (google LG blue tint of death and see how many results), but they again deny its an issue.
why pay $1500 for a tv that is guaranteed to turn blue over a few years and get the "not our problem treatment" directly from LG support when you can get a tv which doesnt turn blue and get the "its not my problem treatment" for only $400 with a different brand.... yep, never again LG

Perfect Until WiFi Chip Fault – The TV was great until the fault. Picture quality is good, slim design, adequate HDMI ports. The best part is its magic remote which makes it very easy to navigate. minutes or so. It made the viewing experience on Netflix’s and Stan’s horrible. Once disconnected, the TV would not show any WiFi availability and only way to get it back was turn the TV off and back on.
We tried every troubleshooting from LG support and online, no use. Eventually the disconnection became more frequent, every 15 odd minutes. Raised a complaint with LG and since it was only 9 months, LG sent their technician and he came inspected and replaced the mainboard and Wi-Fi chipset on the TV. I was glad it happened while in warranty.
This was May 2017, and all was well until February 2018, the exact same problem has reappeared. The Wi-Fi disconnects every 30 minutes while we watch anything. This time the TV is not in warranty, I spoke to LG as the component replacement was not even a year old and has failed again. They have agreed to send their technician again. However if the technician says, it is not manufacturing defect, they will charge me for visit. Although I can’t believe what else can be the issue if my all other devises are still connected to WiFi and are working. So LG has left a bitter taste in my mouth. A TV on which I spent over $1500 doesn’t even last 2 years! I was a Samsung person all this while and this was the only LG purchase, I should have stayed so!
Very easy to use, clear picture, clean look! – We watch mostly Netflix. Netflix rated LG and Sony to be the best for their app platforms, so those two brands were the top choices for us. a Wii, where you don't need to point it "at" the tele, plus you get the cursor on the screen to point and click. Netflix and other apps load up super-fast, and the quality of the picture for live TV and apps is super sharp. We use HD, don't care for 4K as really what's produced in that? Our house is networked with ethernet, on ADSL, so HD is the maximum we can handle anyways with internet speeds OK not amazing though. Haven't used the recording feature as the apps cover that nowadays. The TV is easy to clean from dust, was super simple to hook up with connection points clear and grouped nicely. We've had it now for a little while, and only fault is like any 'computer' it's memory has slowed it up a few times, but a quick off and on fixes that. Easy to update apps and the tele itself, and my Samsung amp through HDMI connections works with the volume up/down so only one remote needed (expect when watching a DVD). Highly recommended especially if you're like me who just wants to grab a remote and operate the tele in the quickest and easiest way possible like it used to be!! Oh, speakers are tinny, but we don't use them and it didn't matter when buying as 1) you can use your HiFi like us or 2) you should buy a sound bar ... because great sound matches a great picture!
A great TV, well worth the money – Have had this TV for around 4 months now and am very happy with it + Superb picture quality. FHD & UHD is incredible but haven't tried HDR. UHD up-scaling is impressive too though you may need to change TV mode to avoid visual artifacts while gaming + Slim and light. * Audio player plays MP3s from network or USB drive without trouble. Haven't tried WAV, FLAC or Ogg Vorbis files though it will likely play these too

* Decent audio. Nothing special but on par for a modern flat-screen TV
- Average user-interface. This is subjective, but I do not like the way you interact with the TV. Other people will like it I'm sure, but I find it clunky and un-intuitive

Great T.V – We love the smart T.v it is easy to follow and use, and isnt complicated. It has a great menu for setting the T.v to accommodate all preferences. Remote Control Quality is Poor – The TV is ok. But remote control goes bad when it passes 1 year's use. If I know that I probably will consider another brand. For other TVs I used for more than ten years, this little stuff never fails and provide stable performance. Excellent Television – I have been using this tv for the last 16 months and couldn't be happier with it. It has ample number inputs for my needs as I have a PS4 pro plus PS3 and UHD player all which perform well on the unit. As I use it for Netfilix, Stan, and Youtube I would highly recommend alkaline batteries for the magic remote as it goes through heavy duty batteries quite quickly. Fantastic picture – This TV is amazing when paired with 4K DVD or streaming shows. The picture quality is so clear and the speakers are also clear even when up lous. The only problem is when watching normal TV the picture is not that great. You always need to watch in HD at the least. It is used as Smart TV and it is very easy to navigate and use. think the smart tv functions coupled with the remote are quite intuitive but it took my elderly parents quite a while to work out how it all works. After about a year they finally understand how it functions. I have had problems with a few apps, netflix in the past (this was fixed), Spotify, and amazon prime video currently so probably not the most stable. I now have an android tv box that I use instead of the inbuilt tv software.
Great Smart TV! – Cannot fault this LG TV. I have used other brands in the past but cannot beat LG! Crisp picture quality, great sound, easy setup & plenty of ports. Wasn’t sure of the wii like remote at first but couldn’t go back to a normal remote now! The OS and apps are a breeze to use eg Netflix, YouTube etc. I would highly recommend purchasing this TV! Good tv – Purchased this TV about a year ago, we paid $1788 for it. i find it very crisp and clear, it is packed full of features and very easy to use and setup. Cant say i can fault it at all. Loses signal – Picture quality good. Speakers work well. Enough ports to suit us. It is a smart TV. The apps work satisfactory but the UNIT keeps losing signal despite putting in a new antenna and cable. We brought the TV in Dec 2016 and in August 2017 it began to lose the signal. Show details

Excellent picture – The picture quality is good and it is great. The inbuilt-in speaker is as expected. I connected it with the Harman Kardon 5.1 speaker. My TV have enough ports. I have discovered that my iphone 6 Youtube app can connect to the TV wish so convenient for non-english video. I can control, choose, search the video on my phone and queue.
