Can't fault it! Had it since launch and only issue after so many years is 1 dead pixel – Runs fast with a Crystal clear image and Easy connectivity. WebOS still being updated in 2022... Show details
WiFi problems – I am happy with the Smart TV apps. The remote control is good. The TV has more than enough HDMI and USB ports for my needs. The WiFi becomes intermittent and eventually stops working. This fault seems to be temperature related in that it starts working again when the room temperature is under 25 deg C and the TV has been switched off for a while. I have contacted LG support but they don't seem to have a fix for this. Show details
Awesome tv, great value – I got this tv on sale from JB hi-fi and I can't be happier. The led is crystal clear and the sound is great, given it is made my Harmon and Kardon. The the itself is very quick and runs YouTube, Netflix and all programs quite seamlessly. No negatives to say about this tv. Show details
Good value – Picture quality is excellent. Perfect way to watch 4k HD quality on Netflix. Smart remote is good and works relatively well. The LG Store has a good variety of apps to download, and it's great to be able to browse the internet or stream from youtube. I recommend this product. Show details
Great features and excellent pricepoint – Purchased this TV at a launch special price. Has an excellent sharp picture and great sound. Feature wise it has alot packed in with easy to adjust menus. Magic remote control allows using features a breeze. Cons are the lack of Spotify app (was removed for some reason?) And the print on the remote buttons is wearing off. Would recommend as a good value tv. Show details
Ok Quality - Better options available – I have had this TV for just over one year now. I was unfortunately sucked in by the instore demo footage ran on most TVs. My biggest issue with the TV is the DSE (dirty screen effect), on solid panning colors its horrible! Vertical contrasting bars are very viable, particularly during sport. The worst part been this was purchased due to being… Read more
200hz and great for sport.
White balance is rather average looking very un- uniform across the screen.
+Interface/UI is excellent
+I have not watched 4k content on it yet but have good hopes for it
+well designed remote
+great "smart" features
+IO is more than antiquate
In short I do regret buying it and soon look to replace it under the selling stores "extra care" offerings
I love my big TV !! – This television replaced a 45 inch that went to heaven. I researched, compared, asked questions and researched some more. In the end, I purchased the one of three finalists that was cost effective on the day I went in to buy at Harvey Norman's. The picture quality is excellent, even on non HD channels. I watch TV in a dark room, with only a… Read more
light shining up behind the unit to cause less strain on my eyes. My last TV gave me the option for this "ambient light", but I have improvised and it works well. The built in speakers are not nearly as good as running it through my old, old Nakamichi amplifier, DVD and Kraus speakers, so I have the internal ones muted. Because the Nakimichi was made before HDMI was invented, I have a workaround connection system. I wish LG had at least one or two more 'old' ports. My internet speed is generally dismal, so the wireless connection is intermittent. Here's hoping the NBN will resolve that. Consequently, I haven't been able to use many apps. Connecting the laptop to edit photo's with Photoshop became easy once I purchased a remote keyboard and mouse for $39 so I can sit on the recliner. The size and clarity of the tv means I can really produce quality photos for books, etc. I haven't worked out how to use the Magic Remote, so I just use the Foxtel one. The installer hung the tv on the wall in place of the old one (for free) and took away dead fred (again for free). Plus I got 50 months interest free on the purchase. All in all, I haven't found anything to be unhappy about. My neighbours bring their DVD's over to watch, so they must be happy, too!
Very Good TV, Awesome LG Service, Easiest UI - but a small hitch – I bought this TV for an amazing price of $2000 from JB Home Castle Hill. This is one of the only TV that supports both HDR & Dolby Vision. YES IT DOES. I have tested and confirmed with LG. There is some error on LG website as it sites only HDR. Pros: - Excellent price for HDR-Dolby Vision Video support for a 65' - The best UI amongst all… Read more
Smart TV's ( i have a samsung 65, Series 8 & Sony 75x85D as well)
- Works as expected
- LG app to control and project video & photos on TV using phone is Excellent (dont need chromecast etc)
Cons:
-Dirty screen but not visible normally, only if you are looking for it. Forget showroom and technical comparisons. For home use this is not an issue, you won't notice.
-The small hitch i am talking about it is. Apparently LG remotes have some known issues as it stopped working. But LG sent me the remote within 2 days so all good
Good – Excellent image showing and the household just loves it. The picture quality is really good, the unit built-in speakers was not as good as I expected though. The ports is enough to use, by connecting with HDMI ports, I can connect the screen with my laptop. Really good, enjoy the big screen! Show details
This TV is perfect! – We love our new TV! there was nothing wrong with our old TV, we just decided it was time to upgrade. It is remarkable what it can do and how clear the images are. the biggest thing for me was having an easy to use OS and remote. the Magic Remote is so compact and easy to use, i now find the remote from our old TV difficult to use. The OS is… Read more
easy to navigate.
the only negative for me is the ease of getting out of the TV Guide, but now I'm just being picky....
Good TV – This TV is the latest top line 55 inch .Foxtel App now available. Great picture, handset a bit clunky with a pointer on screen, other side to this is that it makes it easier to enter data into on-screen keyboard. Volume variable but feel that could be the broadcasters. Better than Sony. Show details
Right choice, Smart move – Had the 65UF680T for a year and a half but needed to upgrade for the HDR and this was the perfect time to buy as the older models were trying to be pushed out at great savings to introduce the new models in stores. I did some digging and found this unit to be the best buy for the money and for what I need. Great for gaming and watching movies. The… Read more
only choice between this brand and Samsung now as a lot of the other brands aren't that great. 200hz refresh rate which is great and its 4K! The size was perfect for the room size. The clarity of the screen and motion is good. Had it for 2 weeks and don't have any issues with it. I just can't wait to watch more movies with this fantastic unit. This is future proof! Today's models come with HDR. DO NOT BUY A TV WITHOUT HDR! Speakers are always good and I think they are American unit if memory serves me right. Enough ports with 3 HDMI connections at the back, sound optics connection, and the usual other connections. Opening up the TV is satisfying and both the operating system and apps are good. Just need to install Youtube yourself if you use it.
Remember, This is a future proof unit that is 200hz and has HDR(High Dynamic Range). Don't buy a new tv in this range that doesn't have HDR.
Terrible picture – Back light is a joke, lights up whole panels in a dark scene or black screen, lg say it's a characteristic of the unit. Worst TV I have ever purchased. Sometimes randomly bright parts of a scene will look cartoony and pixelated, scrolling through picture modes will rectify this. Changed to oled Show details

Know better, choose better.
Good replacement – An excellent replacement for an old Plasma Panasonic flat screen. My new LG has an met all my expectations, excellent price (sale item), easy to set up channels/WIFI, excellent magic remote that makes it simple to navigate throughout the Smart TV's many functions including access to the Internet, and finally it displays excellent picture quality… Read more
as you would expect from a UHD TV.
It has 3 HDMI and 2 USB ins which are ample to set up a home theatre system. The USB drives are excellent for attaching a portable hard drive loaded with movies, gaming, photos etc and they are easily viewed using the magic remote. You no longer need a media player to drive the portable hard drive.
While the units built in speakers are adequate for general TV viewing, for my system I have added a Bose speakers/sub woofer that takes movie viewing to a total different level/experience.
Had my eye on this specific model for around 4 months or so – Normally priced at almost 2 grand; I waited for a while until I saw a promotion came about and surely it did. Relocating interstate for a new job, I didn't have enough room to fit a TV into my car; and as a result, I bought this about 11 days ago as of writing this review. I have been interested in 4K screens but the market is just flooded… Read more
with so much variety and from a consumer purchase point of view, I was getting a few mixed reactions from JB Hifi staff swaying their convictions that Samsung or Sony was better based on the interface and features.
While having owned both brands in addition to LG; I thought the picture quality of an IPS panel was superior to that of anything else within the market other than the exception of OLED which unfortunately is in a completely different price bracket.
When the price dropped for this specific model, it was literally a no brainer and I went and bought it along with an additional 3 year warranty.
The reasons for going for this is the harmon kardon speakers... but obviously you're not going to rely just on the TV's speakers but having to compensate with other speakers which for me I use a Leviathan sound bar made by Razer; this of course is connected to a computer and as a result; the TV is competent with my gaming arrangements.
The energy rating surprisingly is quite high and the heat perspired from the unit as a whole is barely noticeable.
Because its February now, they're still running the promotion till the end of the month and if you're in the market for a new TV but don't want to spend a lot but still have a trusted brand and capabilities (e.g. WI-FI AC; internal storage of about 700MB; easy to use interface, web connectivity.
The only downside that I don't like about the TV is the fact that I've had to buy a lot of the accessories which is to be expected but come on... why not include the TV aerial cable at least??? And also a DisplayPort rather than just HDMI 2.0 (what ever version).
Most computer screen these days especially where 4K is concerned, have a DisplayPort running version 1.2 or higher that can achieve a higher data transfer rate than HDMI.
This TV is supposedly able to handle 200Hz but how is it relative to a PC and its 4K usage?
I believe the TV needs its calibration settings fine-tuned for a PC genre instead of those just wanting to watch TV at different level of interactivity in addition to Web connectivity.
Awesome !! Can't Fault it – Lg is the best brand for smart plus 4k tv , the picture quality is like real life .. and the harman - kardon speakers rock up everytime .. and there is a lot of ports that i can use . nothing can beat LG , can't ask for more . and i am very satisfied ... sweet as !
