Hassle them on the basis of Australian Consumer Law – I have just read a number of comments about faulty and failing LG TVs and the problems getting repairs or replacements. Have you guys ever heard of The Australian Consumer Law? Essentially it protects Australian consumers in such situations. I had a 55" TV with a back light failure and after much haggling with LG and JBHIFI they sent someone round… Read more
on Christmas eve to take the set away and repair it with no charge to me. It was back within 48 hrs....Warranties are meaningless - just keep quoting Australian Consumer Law.....it works.
Blue Tint - Faulty LG 55UJ634T (55")and LG refused to repair even if it’s a known issue – We purchased this LG 55UJ634T TV on 22nd April 2018 (5 years ago) from Jbhifi. From last couple of weeks, I am seeing the TV screen gradually dimmed and the picture seemed to be turning blue. We spoke to Jbhifi today and they asked us to do re-calibration. But, we tried everything and nothing has worked so far. Now, I see from the product reviews… Read more
website that this is a common issue with this TV and and it's disheartening that LG has not taken steps to address this issue for its customers.
Unfortunately, I recently purchased an another QNED86 4K mini LED TV from Jbhifi, trusting in the quality of LG products. However, after reading reviews from other customers here, it appears that LG products are no longer reliable, and their customer support is lacking. This is truly frustrating. I am contemplating reaching out to Choice and filing a complaint with fair trading to bring attention to the numerous customer complaints about the blue screen issue spanning several years. It's disappointing that LG has not made any effort to rectify this recurring problem, reflecting a significant lapse in customer experience for a renowned brand like LG.
More update - Have raised a complaint with LG & they convey that I have to bear the cost as it is out of Warranty. It’s hard to understand if the product is faulty. Why should customer takes ownership of getting it repaired it should be the responsibility of TV brand to get it addressed. If customer has to bear this, then the LG should provide the warranty till the end of life. Attaching the conversation screenshot
Picture dimming and turning blue – I bought this TV in 2018 (5 years ago). The screen just gradually dimmed and the picture seemed to be turning blue. This must be a backlight issue which I assume will be a costly repair as it is now out of warranty. For such an expensive LED TV from a popular brand, I would've expected this TV to have lasted longer. Show details
Another blue tint problem customer – Save your money if your looking at purchasing. This model and many other LG tvs are known for backlight failure causing a blue tint and making the tv unwatchable. LG don’t care to help even with all the correct documents they asked for. Stay clear of LG! Show details
Blue Tint on 55”LG Tv screen – I bought my Lg TV 55’’ 2018. It has developed a blue tint to the screen due to back lighting gone. After researching this problem it seems to be common issue with the LG Tv due to cheap parts used. I would recommend this tv for short term investments no longer than 3 years. Definitely not worth paying $1000 for. Show details
LCD Blue Tint, LG refused to repair it even though its a know issue – I have a LG 55UJ634T. After exactly 4 years, the screen has developed a blue tint. This is a known issue when reading on AV forums and whirlpool. Contacted LG to repair it based on reasonable australian consumer warranty of 5 years which is an expectation when you buy a major appliance. They refused based on that i dont have the original reciept… Read more
anymore, like who keeps a reciept for 4 years. I argued that it would be reasonable to repair it based on manufacturers date which is Jan 2018, however they refused and told me to complain to fair trading if i wasnt happy, exceptional customer service lol. I would avoid LG and choose samsung or sony.
Great TV for a Great price! – I bought this TV when it was on show at JB. I did not go in looking for something in particular and this was sitting there on special for $999 so I bought in on the spot (moving into a new house for the first time, all I cared about was 'did it work') and I got lucky. It has never put a foot wrong, It just works. the webOS operating system it… Read more · 1
runs is fine, has all the netflix, plex, disney and STAN options that you can handle etc as well as the free to air options. Overall, I would not have any hesitation in recommending this TV. Sadly they do not make it anymore but if you can find one 2nd hand, grab it!
Amazing picture and price! – Amazing TV from LG. 65 inches of spectacular quality. It is a smart TV that has so many different features. Can record, playback and there are so many apps that can be downloaded. The quality of the picture is fantastic and watching sport on this TV is great. It has excellent sound quality, so you don't need an extra sound bar. I am very happy with this TV, and would definitely recommend. Very affordable.. Show details
Not worth the money – For the price and LG brand, our expectation was that this would be a flawless high-end big-screen TV. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The TV was faulty and so we decided to return it to the store. The Good Guys store did not have any replacement units available and so we requested a refund which took many phone calls to finally get sorted. All in all it was a stressful experience and a total waste of time and money. Show details

Happy with this lg tv – This LG TV is the best performing TV I have tested to date. It delivers perfect wide viewing angles, accurate color and a great bright-room picture. It's compatible with both major HDR formats, and HDR image quality is better than las one. Its striking design features a super-slim panel. Very happy with this product till date. The bad this is It is bit expensive than last one but used discounted code to buy it. Show details
Fantastic value – Very happy with our new purchase. It has enough HDMI ports to suit our use of the TV. The picture quality is fantastic. We are happy with the sound quality. The Netflix app works easily. Would like it if free to air apps were a little easier to use. But overall very happy with this purchase and great value for money. Show details
Great tv at a great price – Managed to get this on sale for a great deal. The picture quality is really good, the speakers are good for built in tv speakers and it was very easy to set up. It's a smart tv and you can download lots of different apps in the LG store. We mostly use it for viewing Youtube, Netflix and PS4 and having a dedicated Netflix button is very useful. The remote has a little pointer button like a wii controller which is a cute touch. Show details
