4 years and goes strong! – We bought this tv from good guys and it's goes flawless. It's second to none I can say. It may not be available for sale now but I will replace my expensive flagship Samsung tv which bought on the same time with LG tv soon . Show details
WIFI Connection Issues – A good TV until the wifi module drops out. Happens quite regularly (Google it). I’ve spent many a night watching content on my iPad because of so called wifi issues on this TV
Garbage – I agree with Michelle, this LG model should not be classed as a smart TV as the connection issues are continuous. Magic remote works intermittently, and when it does work only a few of the buttons register. Should have bought a SONY, will be glad to chuck this LG one in the bin. Show details
Internet constantly dropping out – Ever since we’ve had this, we’ve had internet connectivity issues. It doesn’t pick up wireless half the time and is constantly dropping out. None of the other TVs in the house have this issue. The remote is terrible, we are already on our third because they just stop working with the tv. The picture quality is very good but it stops there... … Read more
Also, not compatible with Foxtel app. Personally, we feel like we wasted $2,200 and would not purchase another LG.
Seriously don’t buy this tv – Seriously don’t buy this tv. The screen turns all green after 14 months used. We are so disappointed! The aftersales cost so much to bring the technician coming to our place to get a quotation. We decided to buy new tv and different brand instead. Show details
Good value for money – Have had this TV for a year now with it being used just about everyday and no complaints. Very good quality picture especially using blu ray DVD's. Magic remote with the on screen pointer is really good - so much so when i use another TV remote without this function i am a bit lost for a while. Smart TV function works well. Very happy with the value for money proposition of this product - $995 from HN. Show details
Great TV for the price – Had this LG TV for around 6 months. A great, low cost 65” unit. It has good features including a couple of simple arcade games which would entertain old guys like me (think 80s arcade games). Smart TV features load quickly. Got it from JBs on sale for less than $1100…. Wait till they have a big sale/discount before buying it. They do this often. For this price, I would recommend this unit. Show details
Great TV with a couple issues – Great TV. Picture is fantastic as is the features. My only gripe with this TV is that the Smart TV functions can get laggy and can even freeze when simply browsing Youtube or Stan. Plus, the sound is quite good but could be better. Other than that, a terrific LG TV. Show details
My past time – Purchased last August this TV has been faultless since I got it. It's size and stand allow it to fit my room well. Easy working and good after sales service was received.
Excellent value TV – Amazing value for money TV. Features crystal clear 4K display coupled with high definition audio, thin bezels, and most importantly, the software. The WebOS and Magic remote bundled together with the TV is a great addition to the feature list. Additionally LG's customer service was also excellent as they responded to queries I had about the TV promptly Show details
Lg service extremely poor!! – This New television purchased two weeks before moving into a new home, when finally opened and mounted on the wall this fault was noticed...as it was already three weeks old (technically) I thought id contact customer service, huge mistake!!! Customer service was difficult to understand and After several phone calls and uploading photos of the… Read more
fault wanted to repair or charge me for a callout if I insisted on someone coming to have a look at this television!!! I think they just hope you will get sick of ringing and go away!! I expected a NEW replacement but customer service is just awful...I will never purchase another LG item!! Lift your game LG and look after your customers!
Great value for money, but – April 2018 With exception to getting the Magic Remote to work with Foxtel's IQ3, I found every other feature works brilliantly, and there are many features. I have tested every feature. Foxtel HD channels and HD-DVD pictures work a treat. Love the Harmon Kardon 20w+20w inbuilt sound system. Audio output RCA connectors are not fitted, so getting… Read more
audio to the home theatre mean purchasing a Bluetooth device and pairing it from the TV. The headphone jack at the rear seems to be an odd size, and at the rear of the TV! Initial setup and navigation were very easy to follow and quick. Yet to access the apps as they require updating before use.
Overall, I am pretty happy with this model, and within my budget at a price of $1785.
November 2022 After 4.5 years, and fortunately having purchased a 4year Product Care for extended warranty, I have just noticed the rear plastic cover has cracked in the two top corners, looking top side on, and with one piece missing. This TV has never been moved off or about its cabinet in all this time until moving the cabinet away from the wall for room repainting. Nor is it located near any heating source. It has been dusted regularly along the top by a shorter person so the cracks would not have been seen.
I have just contacted the retailer who has lodged a claim on my behalf for it to be assessed for repair or replacement, assuming LG deem it as a manufacturing fault.
Originally, I gave this TV 5 stars for value for money and no comment for built quality. Now, I give this TV 4 stars for value for money and 4 stars for build quality.
January 2023 Product Care put me in contact with a repairer who stated that I am not in their service area and advised that I need to submit my claim, including photos, directly on the LG website, which I did. LG advised that these cracks are not a manufacturing fault.
I advised the retailer what I had done, and they contacted Product Care who put me in touch with another repairer who came to physically inspect the cracks. This repairer said this is a known fault and is a result of the heat dissipation cracking the rear plastic cover because it is (1) tightly fitted and (2) incorrect plastic material has been used. This repairer stated they had seen this before on LG TV's and so this is a known fault.
I am currently awaiting a reply from Product Care as to whether the rear plastic cover will be replaced, noting that this TV is now discontinued and that it may no longer be available, or if I will be credited the cost of the TV in order to purchase a new TV.
February 2023 LG never came good with the outcome stating that we damaged the TV. Product Care on the otherhand came good and allowed us to return the TV to the retail and gave us full credit that we paid for the TV. The changeover to a new TV of our choice to the value was done within an hour. The service from the retailer was impeccable.
Good but not great – Overall this TV is above average especially for the price range, but it isn’t the best in its class. The picture quality is quite average out of the box and is apparent when playing in 4K. Changing around settings (specifically turn off local LED dimming and black levels to low and put on dynamic colour) and the picture quality definitely picks… Read more
up.
Appears to have a cloudiness to the screen and the colours aren’t very vibrant. Has the usually LED DSE (dirty screen effect/banding) but isn’t the worst I’ve seen.
The speakers are average, but if your like me and need good quality sound you will get a sound bar anyway so not to bothered by this.
Where this TV shines is in the WebOS smart TV. LG excels in this field but the entire range has this is so this TV doesn’t get any points for having it.
The design overall is nice and slick and you probably won’t regret buying this but just know it isn’t the best in its price range. But don’t think buying this LG is gonna blow you away as you’ll need to shell out the extra cash and get the OLED LG which is a class leader

Fantastic TV ! – We were planning on buying a Samsung TV at the store when we saw this TV we were very impressed with the colours and the display. We have been using this TV for over a month and we are very happy with it. It is fast and sleek. Great product! Show details
Perfect for our living room – perfect for our living room..high picture quality.. great sound system..support all apps being a smart TV..high definition and clear pictures. great quality product with reasonable price...not as thin as expected but still very sleek..helps built in Netflix and able to stream pretty easily ..fit for purpose for the whole family Show details
Good but not perfect – Great display but has some minor issues of non-even backlight but consider it is common in most TVs. Especially under dark environment ,the issue will be obvious and gets quite annoying sometimes if it is not completely Black. Another note is it does not support 4k HDR. The rest is Ok and love the magic remote! Show details
Absolutely rubbish TV and Customer service is horrible – Everyone knows LG and the brand name so we went and bought this TV at JBHIFI but within a 1 year WIFI and HDMI ports stopped working. I called the customer service team it took them over 6-8 weeks to look at and repair, but it didn't solve the problem, it actually made it worse (LG content center disappeared and AVI ports stopped working). LG case… Read more
manager lodge a request to replace the unit and I was informed the decision will come in 48 hours and i am waiting from last 2 weeks and I have not heard back from the case manager. All up it's 4 months process and I have normal TV at home (Not a SMART TV). DISAPPOINTED with the customer service.
SUHD LED TV – Picture is good. Sound is not great, need sound bar. Remote is handy but needs better management. TV browser sometime restarts itself and needs to be fixed. Many apps are to be updated each time manually and no option for auto upgrade. Overall the TV is worth 2000 AUD only. Show details
WebOS is perfect – Being LG, the tv is great and the sound is surprisingly amazing. My guests thought I had a seperate sound system and were shocked to find out that the sound was coming from the back firing speaker. WebOS is quite possibly the best way to control your TV with a remote, it feels soo seamless and the Netflix and Youtube app implementation is great. I wish they would bring the Spotify app back. Good tv, but picture not super sharp – Good tv, easy to set up. I think the picture quality could be better, sometimes slightly pixelated. Smart tv features are good, direct to Netflix etc. the built in speakers adequate for our open living/dining area. due to picture quality I probably would not recommend this model, though definitely a good tv. All right to use – I bought the tv the other day in jb hifi. The price is all right. The tv is okay in terms of the price. I will not recommend to my friend as a good tv. However the performance, all in all is all right. Good display, but the sound is bit low. Show details
Best tv I have owned – Picture quality is amazing so clear! I'm very happy about the sound to, had built in hdmi ports and everything else needed , this is by far the best smart tv I have owned it already has youtube and Netflix adjusted to the tv so easy to use I love how I can connect my phone to it and the best part about it is the remote can move like a mouse Show details

Best tv we've had by far – We brought this as our son is getting a xbox Scorpio for Xmas. And thought he needed the tv to match. It's very fast at loading up. I love how easy it is to flick from Netflix to you tube. We've only ever used lg as our main tv because of there quality. In 13 years we have never had a problem with one. While it's over $1500 for this size. I personally think that it's worth it. Show details
Another winning TV from LG, good 4k entry – My new 'mid level' 4k TV. The specs and picture are well worth the recent purchase price (Just under 1k AUD). PROS: 100Hz HDR10 Super Ultra HD Quad Core processor Edge-lit (smaller size models only) HDMI CEC control full compatible with my other AV gear No file type incompatibility to date (mp4 work fine via DNA) CONS: Magic… Read more
Remote (I went and bought a standard LG remote fully compatible and cheap from The Good Guys to use instead)
The front glass panel 'floats' a bit in the frame (2nd recent LG purchase I've noticed this build quality issue on)
VERY happy with, would purchase again.
Highly Recommend This TV – The picture quality has been brilliant so far for us. Watching live sport in particular has seen an exceptional picture quality. In a room the size of 25sqm, the sound quality is great, you dont even need a sound bar when watching movies. The TV comes with enough HDMI points to plug in our pay TV box, set top box and computer. The SmartTV apps can generally take a while to load which is its only downside. Show details
Good enough – Good picture blacks. Easy connect to external sound bar. Navigation with remote ok. 4 HDMI ports which is great. But hopeless guidance on how to use this $1,000 device. No printed manual of any use and "on-screen" help/guidance system awful and non-intuitive. Browser seems to work ok and the "magic" button on the remote is quite useful to flip… Read more
between sources once you get used to how it works - -which is necessarily trial and error because there is no intelligible guidance. Overall: reasonable value for money.
Cinematic experience – Good price for a cinematic experience in your living room. Combined the tv with a sound bar and it is fantastic. Great UHD for watching sports and movies. Fantastic resolution. Great smart tv features and compatibility with blu-ray player, nintendo and playstation. Highly recommended for the family enjoyment without leaving home. Show details
Great TV – Great TV with decent picture quality. Sound quality is not brilliant even though it has Harman Kardon speakers. It definitely needs to be paired with a sound bar. Love the user interface and the magic remote although it does take some getting used to. The number of apps in LG content store is fairly limited but most popular apps are available… Read more
ie Netflix, stan, YouTube, abc iview and sbs on demand. There is also the option to cast from your smart phone.
Love this tv! – We bought the 55 inch lg television, which is a little smaller than our old tv but because of the amazing quality I've not noticed at all. I love the magic remote that came with it, it is so easy to use. Also love the fact that Netflix is on the remote. It's very easy to set up and use. Show details
LG - "Life is Still Good" - HDR & Dolby Vision – Ever since my 2015 model TV (LG); I have always liked LG TV's, they are just good at what they do and their newer range in 2017 has given me a viewing experience of HDR and the new Dolby Vision (yet to be seen). I currently have it connected to a Media Center to watch all my movies and music. For the first day I had some trouble with graphic… Read more
driver issues and some strange compatibility issues with Windows 10 and its support for HDR setting. Kept flickering on and off and I wondered if it was the TV that was faulty, thankfully no it was just a driver update and some tweaking here and there getting used to the setup.
Once it was all stable I set the TV to deep color in the menu and tested some various 4K content with some HDR and some not. There is better definition and color accuracy compared to my old TV and as soon as I played some HDR video content a logo appeared in the top right hand corner of the TV to let you know that the TV has detected a HDR signal coming through - boom the TV lit up and was instantly in HDR mode shining like High Dynamic Range. In the first tests I was a bit confused as to what is the difference between standard and HDR video presentation, so it just took some time to get the hang of the way the TV understands the different content you throw at it.
In regards to Dolby Vision I haven't got any of that sort of content to test it with and supposedly its even better or at least produces a more accurate representation of the way Video Media should be. A logo is supposed to come up in the top right hand corner to let you know that the TV is in Dolby Vision mode, I will find that out eventually when I have such content to test it with. Its one of the reasons I went with this TV and LG as they have produced one of the first TV's that support Dolby Vision.
It will be some time before I replace this TV from LG that's for sure.
Very good – I purchased this a few weeks ago and it is working well. The picture and sound quality is great. I really like the magic remote and the options available on that. It's handy that you don't have to point it at the screen to get it to work. Some features on the remote take a bit of getting used to. I still can't work out how to watch any 'catchup'… Read more
tv on it - that feature seems to be unnecessarily complicated and unfortunately when I contacted LG to find out how to do it, my call went to an off shore call centre where the man had no idea how to help me, promised to ring back and never did. But, other than that, all the other 'smart' features on the TV work very well and it is pretty quick to connect to the internet and get up and running.
