What a Disappointment – Purchased approximately 3 years ago. For the last 6 months the colours have started being really washed out with blacks looking blu and reds looking pink. $1500, I may as well by a cheaper brand and just hope for the best. LG only offering a 1 year warranty is a joke and this will be my last LG purchase.
Horrible service and horrible TV – I purchased this in March, it has already broken. LG viewed photos and stated it broke due to impact damage. The damage occurred whilst I was watching TV from 3 metres away. So not sure how that is even remotely possible. No refund and no repair offered. The customer service was disgraceful. place of purchase. I was told by an independent repairer that it is an internal crack - NOT impact damage. LG will not even consider repairing or replacing it unless I pay for it. I am disgusted in the service I have received from LG.
BEST TV EVER – We are so lucky our Soniq broke down when it did, cause now we've got the BEST TV EVER... The TV you must have! – The LG TV has wireless and Bluetooth connectivity and 2 USB ports. The remote control has an inbuilt direct Netflix and Amazon button so you don’t have to browse for it. There are many apps and you can also download games to play on the TV just like an android tablet. It’s easy to use and the picture quality is very clear. Perfect Colours and affordable price – I always like LG TVs compared to other brands. UM7400 is perfect for performance and colours are excellent. The only thing I didn't like is the body is a bit thicker. Show details · 1
Not compatible with other LG products – The TV is not compatible with one of their own products, and there is no real support; for a supposedly "smart TV", it isn't really that clever. When it would not talk to my LG RH735T DVD Recorder, I tried to get the problem sorted out with their online support. They weren't able to assist other than the "unplug it and plug it back in again"… Read more
routine, which didn't work either. They said that they would escalate the problem to their next level support team who would call me back within "48 business hours" but wouldn't tell me how many hours per day they worked or how many business days that equated to. I tried again three days later and was advised that the previous online consultant had meant 48 hours, not business hours, and that I would receive a call from their next level support team the next day. So 6 days at the time of writing this review since first contacting them for support, and I haven't heard back from them, basically, they lie.
As I cannot use the DVD Recorder to record TV programs as I'd been able to with the TV this review replaced, I tried to record a program to a storage device, that works ok, but you can only watch the program you are recording, whereas if it would function with the (same brand) LG DVD recorder, I would be able to record two different programs simultaneously and watch a third program on the TV as I could with the old TV.
The support from Harvey Norman is no better, their representative has suggested a faulty HDMI cable and don't want to know about it. I have tried another HDMI cable, and I have tried all 3 of the HDMI ports - the original consultant at LG thought there were 4, I don't know what she was looking at when I gave her the model number of my TV
