Horrible I've lost so much money buying an LG tv I'll never buy another LG product – After 14months it started slowly turning blue... Convenience of having only 12month warranty..... I've had nothing but trouble with LG's customer service they won't even sell me the part it needs or service it at my cost(something to do with backlight strips?) It all makes sense why they are all discontinued My old 85inch Samsung TV I've had for… Read more

over ten years never had a single issue

Never ever, ever, ever buy any LG product there obviously made with cheap parts

If you want a real TV buy a Samsung

They literally ripped me off $3500 I can only imagine how many others have been ripped off

Do LG expect there customers to buy a new $3500 TV every 14months....

Does anyone know where LG main office is in Victoria? As all they seem to do is send you in circles just like the LG app........try getting through to there so called support team that's right we can't it's all fake and they are just scamming people

Faulty. Lg service is deceptive – I was reasonably happy with the tv. The os doesnt get all basic apps (eg 10 play or paramount). But there was a fault with the tv. Screen developed a worsening blue tint. It became pretty unusable pretty quick. I asked the retailer and the manufacturer to replace or refund the tv as per consumer law. Numerous times throughout this process. They… Read more

refused and wanted to repair it. Just completely ignoring their obligations under consumer law. It took over a month to get repaired and lg were pretty misleading and deceptive through out the process. Telling me at one stage that they would replace it - then the next day saying they had no record of that conversation even though they record them and i had evidence of the 30 minute phone call. They also said it would take a week and that the repair would happen at my home. This was all false. Turns out this is a known defect and they still sold them. A quick search online can find this and it was confirmed by the repairperson they sent to take the tv. Pretty appalling quality control. The retailer also told me that a tv of $1000 is not covered after a couple years and that i shouldnt expect that a purchase of that value to last that long. Pretty awful. Ill never purchase from this brand or the retailer good guys again.

In the end I've been left with little choice but to escalate the issue, which is disappointing, and forward my record of the conduct of the companies involved to the accc. I really tried to resolve it with the manufacturer and retailer but they just stonewalled and gaslit me.

Poor picture after 3 years – Tv has developed DSE and picture quality is now poor. When purchased the picture was great. It appears that the only remedy is replacing the screen which is out of the question. Would not buy another LG product. Show details

ok so long as you dont want to watch DVD"s in full screen like you used to – This LG was to replace a previous LG TV. The old one played DVD"s full screen this one wont. LG blames my DVD's ( not made to play full screen they said) odd how they played full screen on previous tv's including an LG I'm not game to fiddle with the TV so LG doesn't have another excuse to blame me

It is perfect. Excellent picture quality. Highly recommended – AI ThinQ provides simple, voice-activated controls via Google Assistant using your compatible device and the webOS lets you access various online streaming services, including Netflix and Stan. We have had this TV for about couple of month now and we have been impressed with the quality of the picture that it has. Show details

Its pretty good! – Overall its a great tv, it has awesome sound and awesome picture, it looks great and is the envy of guests. I like the google assistant and the fact you can play trivia games with the TV much to the amusement of guests. But there are some things I don't like. I do not like the remote control.. its too sensitive, if you are scrolling through catch… Read more

up tv and you accidentally knock the rolling button it changes the channel and you lose where you were up to which is really frustrating as you have to do it again.. i also don't like where all the connection points on the TV are located as the TV is against the wall and is heavy to move to get to the connection points to plug things in like a DVD player or PS4. I also find the constant system updates annoying. Either than that its a great tv

Really nice all round tv – I went from a basic model 4 year old tv, to this 43inch LG tv, and wow what a difference it makes. They pack so much into tvs these days and yeah so happy I upgraded now ! From crystal clear viewing, to a one button Netflix option, Im really happy with this tv. My only problem I have had is with the Arc settings with my amp but that could still be amps fault so not sure. But apart from that I really enjoy what this tv has to offer ! Show details ·  1

Nice picture but not so smart – Hi , I have an LG tv 55" LG 55UM76 , the picture is quite good , I love it and the problem is not with the picture the problem lies with the connection with whatever wifi device you may have , it worked well for about two years and of course started playing up when the warrantee expired. Is it just me or do you thing that a $2500 tv should… Read more

last a little better than that .I has made me think that perhaps the $800 set at aldi is not so stupid as may seem.

What happens with the wifi is it keeps disconnecting while you are watch whatever you watch and reconnecting just cant seem to happen . Another perculiar thing that happens is it stalls and then plays at double time to catch up on live broadcasts, for about 2 or 3 seconds worth , a strange thing to watch at times . The guy at JB HiFi said its just what this brand does after a few years or so..

Well that was annoying news, he could have warned me when I bought it but then he wouldn't have sold a set would he !!!! UGH! I got on the net and learned of an update which would potentially fix the issue as this bug felt like a software / firmware bug . So after a few hours of fiddling about finding and loading it onto a memory stick I plugged it in to find that the tv had already updated itself to the new update ..UGH!!!

So here is how we fixed the issue ,we ran a hard wire from the router direct to the tv and now it is sooo much better than before , no stalling and viewing from the net is a vast improvement , and no dropouts !!!

So what gives? with a pc one would simply get another board or get it fixed at a repair shop somewhere , you know old school like , repair the broken part , why was the best advice given by the shop folk was ditch it and get another one ?

Have I gotten too old and obsolete ? It just seems so wasteful to me that in a world where pollution is a problem we are encouraged to trash stuff so readily.... and so it goes ...

Huge screen comes with draw backs – Screen is great when it has high quality bright content Where this screen runs into problems is with localised dimming as it gets clear shadowing with dark content It also suffers from light bleed in the corners On a large screen these things are amplified For a 86" tv under 5k it is still alot of TV for the money LG operating system and remote are the best in class for ease of use Show details

Great 4K smart TV – Upgraded from a MY11 full HD Panasonic 42" to the LG with the help of my 3 year old damaging the old TV. Thanks insurance! There's quiet a choice out there. After lots of reading online (I found RTINGS.com very useful) & a few trips to hardly normal's I decided on the LG UM76. In this price range it had the most natural picture & best contrast of… Read more

the IPS panels. We required the wider viewing angle of IPS in our lounge. (VA panels have deeper blacks & are better for watching movies in dark rooms, if that's your thing). Upon getting it home I found it a breeze to set up & it synced with my older Panasonic bluray & Sky TV box no problem. I can control SKY from the smart remote which is an awesome feature. The smart remote works like a nintendo wii controller or standard clicker. WebOS operating system is very intuitive. Apps like netflicks & youtube are easy to use & sync with your phone etc. You can also watch videos via the built in web browser as well. If you don't want a Samsung RU7100 with the VA panel the LG UM76 range is your best alternative for similar picture quality with a wide viewing angle.

Very good quality visuals – The price was very decent for this TV in the 55 inch. The picture quality is beautiful. Other TVs that we saw were too pricey and we didn't notice too much of a difference between the picture quality of this TV vs the more expensive ones. Haven't had any issues with it so far and really enjoying the extra SmartTV features. Voice control works in youtube but not in spotify. The sound is very decent from the TV, don't need a soundbar. Show details

Great picture, good sound. A couple of issues though – We have had this TV for about a week and are very happy with the picture quality. The sound from the built in speakers is also very reasonable, for what they are. The user interface is OK - plenty of options and snappy to use. I still like Samsung's interface better though. There are a couple of issues though. We cannot get Google voice control… Read more

It's an okay TV for its price – Probably not the best 4K TV out there, but does the job. Has smart remote. I must be used to Panasonic TVs, as this TV was an upgrade from my 1080P Panasonic Smart TV. Excellent large screen TV for price – Easy to use SMART TV and it's highly convenient with all the apps you need on a TV. The picture quality is great and has great speakers too. Not too heavy so I could use my original shelf . Has a nice, clean modern look. Just great for a medium to large size room. Show details

Abysmal customer service - avoid this product – LG make a lot of media noise about the Airplay 2 and Homekit compatibility of this widescreen 86" tv, model 86UM7600PTA. Beware - the much heralded feature simply does not work. Worse still, LG Customer Service refuse to even discuss this. On four separate occasions they've committed and booked telephone conversations with me, but on each occasion… Read more

they fail to make the call that they have booked. Their tech support chat line has no understanding of this feature and have no way of supporting this issue. They simply book a phone call from their superiors who then fail to make the call. If you are an Apple person, don't be sucked in by LG about the Airplay and Homekit functionality because firstly it doesn't work, secondly LG Australia have no technical support of this feature and most importantly, their Customer Service centre repeatedly fail to make the booked and committed phone calls as promised. The level of service is so bad I am now headed to WA Consumer Affairs armed with the raft of failed promised commitments from LG that were never forthcoming. Their product doesn't work as described but they do nothing to make things right with their customer. The TV doesn't work as described and LG (No) Customer Service is simply abysmal - the worst I have ever encountered.

Great TV Great Quality Great Price – We purchased a similar sized LG TV back home in the Philippines and had fallen in love with it. if you want to hardwire it to your modem.

The Sound Quality is amazing and the TV has a smart tune addition to help make the sound better based on the acoustics of the room.

It comes with the Magic Remote enabling you to control your IoT devices like Smart Lights etc which I love as I have 5 Smart Lights and it allows me to use voice commands via the TV’s remote.

It has Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime installed so you can stream TV Shows, Movies, YouTube clips.

It has Bluetooth built-in so you can stream music to the TV (like Apple TV) which is awesome if you don’t have a dedicated Sound System.

The quality of the TV is amazing 4K content is amazing and having HDR support makes things look so much better.

The other thing I like is that other LG SmartQ devices like the Washing machine it will give you a notification on the TV that washing is complete.

It comes with loaded with heaps of connectivity

- 4 HDMI Inputs - 2 USB 2.0 - RCA Input - Digital Audio Out (Optical for Sound Systems) - Lan Port (For connecting to your Modem directly without need of WiFi)

I love this TV it a great it has so many features and comes in at a good price for a 55" Smart TV
