WD-1018C still going after 10 years – Well I though this machine would have died by now, but it's still going strong after 10 years. We have only washed on cold water, until today ... So not sure if that had anything to do with it. I have just connected the hot tap for the very first time and giving it a run on the 95C cotton cycle with some bi-carb and vinegar for a clean (might do… Read more

that twice). The glass door is very very hot for the first time. The 30 minute cycle has been our go-to wash. The spin is a little noisey but I can live with that.

Excellent – Very happy with this machine. In the 5 years i've had it i've never had a problem and have never claimed it on warrenty. Would recommend it to everyone! Absolutely LOVE this machine! I have had it about 5 years now and have never had a single problem with it. The 30 min wash is fabulous for lightly soiled clothes and the synthetic cycle is great… Read more

for the heavier marked clothes ie. work shirts and shorts. It has never leaked and my filter has never been blocked. Long cotton and synthetic cycle. The spinning is very noisy and the sticky door can get very frustrating when I don't realise as the machine doesn't beep to tell me it isn't shut properly. I think it might be a seal problem though as it's only been doing it for about 3 months.

didn't last the distance – my machine is just 3 years old and is back to be fixed for the third time. with in the first 12 months the internal drum needed replacing. 6 months ago it completely stopped running which we paid to have fixed, now it needs new bearings and the pump to be replaced. if we decided to fix it we would have paid over half the cost of the machine in 3 years. not good value for money. will not buy LG again washes well no value for money, noisy

Terrible – Totally regret having bought this machine ... seems to have been designed to die as soon as its out of warranty. Will definately put my money into another brand rather than pay any more to LG. Wasn't anything to write home about even when it was going. Washed quite well when it went Piece of crap that was going to cost almost half its purchase price to fix when only just over 2 years old!

OK – The length of time it takes on a general wash programme is too long considering the machine is supposed to have an efficient energy and water use rating. This machine is average really and I wouldn't buy this particular one again. Holds a bigger wash. Has multiple choice of washes and you can opt for time save. Its very noisy when in spin. general wash programme takes a long time. Its leaked several times, fortunately I have a drain in the floor of my laundry!

Good – Having had several front loaders over thirty or so years this one is most definately the best one we have had. I am sure there are better out there but at the time of purchase about three years ago this was the best value for money. In addition there have been no problems (touch wood). We are also on tank water and again while the water saving… Read more

is not the best on the market it is still very good. Price, water saving, easy to use. Washes clothes well even on short cycle. Noise. The spin cycle sounds like a jet engine. Luckily we live on acreage so we are the only ones disturbed. Cannot us it at night when someone is asleep. Long wash cycle is very long....2 and a 1/2 hours.

Bad – Had a really good water and energy rating for the price. Considering it requires repairs after only 2.5 years for 2 peoples' washing I think it rates the washer rather poor. Washes the clothes well enough. After only 2.5 years of washing for only 2 people the inlet valve requires replacement (Roughly $200 cost)

Good – Very happy overall, seems to do a good job and use less water than pervious Bosch that continually broke down! Easy to use, very versatile in terms of changing wash programs to suit time, seems to do a good job, great capacity, efficient on water and energy Nothing that I can think of (can't seem to work out how to save the rinse water however for… Read more

the next load. Can't seem to get it open), yes agree the spin is a bit noisy, especially when you set it to start washing in early hours of morning so it's ready for when you wake but no big deal
