LG WTL3-09

My new washing machine was delivered today, a replacement for my old 5.5kg Lg top loader. Not impressed so far, it’s so noisy. My old machine was quiet, you could hear the water sloshing about but that was it. This one is whirring about all over the place, I’m in shock. It also takes ages to actually start washing the clothes, I feel like it’s a big step backwards from my old machine. Should’ve gone for the fisher Paykel.
Not really a fan of LG, HOWEVER some products are THE BEST ! – Okay, I remember when LG was Lucky Goldstar and they supplied all the cheap stores,, it was funny for I did purchase a small portable TV from them in the 70s,, the receiver and screen were EXCELLENT however the knobs were made of the cheapest plastic possible and after a very short time you could not change the station etc... However I know that as described above some of their products (or components are excellent,, they started making the OLED TV and in fact make them for two of the largest and best known and trusted brands ! 14 years ago I decided to give them a try with their Direct Drive top loader washers,,, WE ARE STILL USING IT TO THIS DAY,, In fact I have just purchased a new one (now with AI) and even a Fridge from them. I did my homework and check out MANY SOURCES and there still are a few items I would not purchase from LG, I can not mention too much about the fridge for we have not had it that long, however my 5 star rating is mainly based upon the washer, but I do know I am hesitant to purchase some items and will bypass them, (will not even look at them), I have not had to ever call them or deal with them on service or customer relations so I can not comment on that, however I can only state do some research and you will find that so of their products are among the best anywhere.

A basic washing machine – This washing machine can produce good results. You can save drying time by manually setting the spin time to maximum*. If you use a tumble dryer, that will also save you money. The "cotton" cycle automatically senses the washing load, and adjusts the water level accordingly. The machine also offers a "quick wash" cycle, plus cycles for duvets and for delicates (including woollens). It also has an "eco cotton" cycle that uses less water and electricity, and an "AI" cycle that optimises the cycle for up to 5 kg of "waterproof" or "water permeable" fabrics. LG recommends running the "tub clean" cycle every month. The machine has a very effective lint filter that is easy to remove and easy to clean. The machine offers only three temperature options. The WTL3-09W model doesn't support the "ThinQ" diagnostic smartphone app that is described in the owners manual. The control touch-pad is at the front of the machine, where it will be regularly contacted by wet washing. A washing machine technician advised us to stick a layer of clear self-adhesive plastic film (e.g. "Contact") over the touch pad, to provide extra protection against water getting into the controls. We'll do the same with this one. * Remember to set a wash cycle before you set the spin time. Otherwise the machine will spin your clothes without washing them.
