Washing machine started leaking from the water inlet to the washing machine just before the warranty ran out. We contacted LG to claim on the warranty who sent out a technician and were told it was our fault due to chemical damage as there was rust around the water inlet. I have no idea how this is our fault as we don't have any chemicals coming from our tap water. LG have hand balled the phone calls we have made for the last 4 weeks trying to get this sorted out. We will never buy anything LG from now on as their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. I have learnt you get what you pay for and I would suggest everyone else do the same and don't waste your money on LG rubbish.
Unbelievable – Just bought this washing machine, it’s great how put your washing in, and the machine works out water levels etc. washes well and spins good too. Nearly took it back as I was using it like my old machine and now it’s put washing in and go. Just need it to hang it out.
Purchased in for $799.
Don't buy LG ezDispense washing machine Series 6 front loader – There is a design flaw with the blue lidded liquid compartments in the ezDispense drawer. The lids slowly lift up stopping the drawer from opening. After two drawer replacements and the whole top of machine replaced, it still happens. LG's Engineers say its the type of liquid I'm using. I change washing liquids all the time depending what's on special. They won't do anything to fix it. I'm stuck with a machine that doesn't work. Not buying LG again.
Don't waste your money – Can't wash a pillow or duvet. The cycle time states 1 hour 31 minutes. 3 hours later, the cycle is still not finished. Goes out of balance with a single towel. Machine is only 3 years old. Will never use LG again.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Furniture for $1,500.
Shaking like an earthquake – Recently purchased this model and from the start, the machine exhibited severe shaking and produced loud vibrations during the spinning cycle, which could be heard even with closed doors and windows. The intensity of the vibrations was so extreme that it it caused the machine to move and the items placed on top of the machine to fall to the ground.
I contacted LG support and their advice was to put less load, which was not an effective solution at all. After escalating the matter, a technician from a third-party company was sent by LG to inspect and fix the machine. He added plastic under the machine's legs which stopped the maching from moving, but the shaking and vibrations still persisted. Shockingly, when I reached out to LG support again, they refused to offer any further assistance, despite the evident faults with the machine. They simply said our technician reported to us that there is nothing wrong with the machine.
Additionally, I contacted the Good Guys store, where I purchased the washing machine. Disappointingly, they promised a call back from the manager but failed to follow through.
Overall, my experience with the LG WV6-1409 has been extremely frustrating. The machine's faulty performance, lack of effective support from LG, and unfulfilled promises from the retailer have left me deeply dissatisfied.
UPDATE: I've discovered that it's feasible to lower the speed to either 800 or 1000, minimizing the machine's shaking significantly. While it operates well at these speeds, I remain somewhat dissatisfied because I invested more in this machine for its advertised 1400-speed feature.
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $975.
