VerifiedHi, did you know that Liebherr do not keep parts past ten years, so when a part goes after ten years you have to buy a new fridge which costs over 4000, recommend you don’t buy Liebherr, anybody know why my ice maker is freezing over, just another problem with the fridge, the compressor is going and also the cooling coil but hay no spare parts Regards Richard
Temperature control dial not working, turn dial and temperature on led display doesn’t change. Set to 0 and fridge won’t switch off either.
Hi Bill, So we can review this and advise further, can you please email your contact information and a photo of the fridge compliance label to service@andico.com.au? The compliance label is found inside the fridge, you may need to remove the bottom drawer to see this.

I have the same problem as Sharron some 4 years ago. The ice maker has stopped working, and the sensor cord is dangling in the ice box. Surely it is a matter of finding where to put it in, and not spending hundreds of $s again to get a Meile service man? Peter
Hi Peter, if this matter is still outstanding, can you please email through a photo of the issue with the ice-maker as well as your contact details so we can review this matter further and advise how we might be able to assist? Our email address is service@andico.com.au

The ice maker stopped working and I can see the white cord dangling down. Is this the sensor and light flashing? Can you help please?
Hi Sharron, Yes, it does seem like the sensor is not where it should be and the light will be flashing to indicate fault. Can you please call us on 1300 650 020 to discuss further? Kind regards,
Andi-Co Customer Care Team
My freezer with ice maker in it caught fire. If it had gone through the back of the freezer it would have burnt the house down. Luckily my 16-year-old son discovered it about 10 pm at night when getting something from freezer. So unimpressed. It was 4 1/2 years old!! Will I get money back? It's expensive and dangerous.
Heather
Don't know the answer to this but good luck with your attempt. Let me know what they say.
Have no clue why your freezer caught on fire. Wishing you the best of luck when dealing with Liebherr. Hope you can get it resolved.
Hi Heather, please call Andi-Co on 1300 650 020 or service@andico.com.au so we can discuss this further and possibly facilitate an outcome for you. Kind regards, Andi-Co Customer Care
Problems with ice maker
"this problem is a design fault - the ice tray twists to release the ice and the torsion on the tray causes it to crack. then water that fills the tray, leaks into the receiving drawer and freezes in to a big slab"
I've read the above response & this is the problem we are having. Love these fridges but really disappointed if the ice maker issue is a design fault. What should we do?.
Good question! For now, we use old fashioned plastic ice trays, should we need ice.
Unfortunately I am without an answer or solution.
I have just read the above comment about a"gas link" which may be problem my freezer is not working. I have had everything else replaced. Does this mean it is a throw out after 8 years and great expense for repairs? It's going to the repairers next week. They can't do anymore whilst it is at home! Sould I not send it?
Hi Lexie, So I can look further into this matter for you, can you please email us at servicecentre@andico.com.au with your contact details and the name of the service agent who has been repairing the appliance. Kind Regards,
Andi-Co Customer Care
Our experience was that the ice maker was the problem causing water to go down the back of the freezer which then froze and meant the sensor could not operate effectively. Initially it was thought to be the gas but this was a much easier fix. Maybe you need another opinion can recommend Slades Appliance service if you are in SA. The biggest issue with our being taken away was a two story house and could only be craned out over the balcony! Very expensive.
Hi Lexie P, sorry to say that the problem with my freezer won't help solve the problem with yours. Mine was a simple blocked drain that I could not reach myself as it is behind a panel on the back of the freezer wall and requires the ice maker to be disconnected to access it. I have added further comments on my review if you want to know anything else but it was nothing to do with gas. Best of luck. Gail
My freezer has defrosted itself how do i getit back on? Ive lost the manual.
Hi Kate you can google the manual and download it online. If the freeze is defrosted and the temperature keeps flashing and can not be set to - 18 it may broken. You can call Andy-co they are the inporters and take care or warranty and may be able to provide some advice over the phone , but I hate to be rude the same thing happened to mine and the said it was the condenser and compressor , little did the tell me that it had an internal gas link if that's the cases it is unrepairable. all General white goods are the best if you r in sydeny I wish I got them out in the one first and they would of told me the truth " gas link" and not get me to spend all that money to have it repaired, only to leak gas and only last 3 months good luck :)
