HTX2 disappointment – After paying $1700 including installation I can only give the Lightforce HTX2 lights 1 star after 18 months of ownership. They just do not work like I was promised. I did my reading and the store really built them up as being the best. Firstly, the HID light is just not great and I now see a previous reviewer says same thing. I asked questions when they got back to me that the HID had changed from first version. Well whatever issues they were in the first HTX series the HTX2 lights I have still aren't what I was expecting. I've had Narva HIDs previously and they were far better.

I became aware on Facebook of a series of posts with people having issues. I've had Stedi and Narva lights previously and thought for the money I was going to see some amazing difference. If anything I feel like I have gone backwards. Final straw was a roadside chat refuelling on recent trip and a bloke saying his fathers HTXs had some of LEDs beginning to go dim. I'm about to trade my cruiser in and the lights will stay on it and I'll now be looking elsewhere.

Purchased for $1,700.

Questions around the lights pattern – Fitted in April this year, both lights throw a vertical pattern of light and shadow so that at 100 meters there are visible bars noticeable between .5-1.0 metres apart. Rather annoying to say the least. Have sent video and photos to the TJM store and awaiting outcome. Further to this review, I had an email back from Lightforce head office and they said they looked at the photos and video I sent them and according to their 'engineers' would take no further action as the lights emit the pattern described above as 'standard'. If I had known this I would not have purchased them. Forget all the hype about these lights and how good they are, how long they throw, blah, blah... if any so called top shelf driving light throws a pattern such as this and is quite visible to the driver, then maybe Lightforce need to have a look at their engineering process, because I will not buy another of Lightforce's products if they are prepared to design and manufacture an expensive product such as the HTX2, that quite clearly is flawed. As to TJM Darwin, very poor customer service. I'll not go into the details, but after 13k spent in store, it will be the last time.

Purchased in at TJM Physical Store for $1,935.
