able to fashion it into a very neat and secure fence around the bottom of our stairs. I didn't imagine we'd be able to find such a perfect solution at such a good price, so thank you Lindam! The gate is a little narrow, and is not an auto-closing gate, but it does the job and the bonus is we can close the gate very quietly when baby is sleeping. Versatility, affordable, quiet, safe. Gate a little narrow, can be fiddly to close.

Flexabilty – I purchased two of these to fence in part of the living room but once my 1yr old could climb onto the sofa I simply connected them together to give my 1yr old a large play area. soon realised that if I stuck out my index finger it became very easy to line up the lock, so it is very easy to open and close with one hand.When I let my 1yr old out and about the rest of the house for a little freedom, I eventually find him back in the play pen with the gate shut. He manages to shut the gate himself and has not got his fingers caught yet!! Ability to expand the gate. Easy to open and close with one hand.

It comes with a soft mat which provides enough padding for my baby (our floor is wooden) The only down side to the mat is it needs to be tired on the the play pen, which is time consuming. you to easily see what is going on inside the playpen. The playpen is very heavy so it is not very portable. Very good quality. It is very expensive compared to other playpens. There is also the risk of pinching a finger when shutting the gate, so be careful!

Not quite what I expected – I have been very happy with this product except that it can only be used as a safety gate if it is screwed to the wall. for online sales at Target! great!), feels good quality, the gate on the one we have is fine, comes with a mat, looks good i.e not a bulky eyesore particulary if your house is small. A bit heavy but we knew this( I also feel confident our bub will not knock it over as she grows, only screws to walls so you can't move it about.

Good – We bought this as a fire guard to put around our gas heater, and it is great for that purpose. Can be made into various shapes or you can attach ends to a wall. Expensive. Gate is stiff and quite difficult to use.

to collapse, I'm glad it collapses at all. Overall very happy with this product and would recommend. Great play pen. Can actually collapse for easy storage. Has a soft playmat which comes with it. Easy to use gate system. Enough room for my child to play in without being too big for a small room. Well made Not cheap, but most playpens are around this cost. To collapse you have to push buttons down and pull sides out, which can be quite difficult and we need two people to do it. More heavy than the wood playpens, but means my daughter can't push it around, which she has done with other playpens in the past.

finger pinching is minimal in my view as I always keep the gate shut. Given that it gives me peace of mind daily as I go about chores, it was worth the money. I am pleased with this product and recommend it. The Lindam playpen is well made and sturdy. It has a gate which is as easy to open as a standard child gate and makes it easy for an adult to enter to pick up child or pack up toys. It comes with wall attachments enabling it to be used as a fence or it can be used in the freestanding hexagon configuration. The white bars are unobtrusive and the little person/parent can see very easily what is going on outside/inside the playpen. It cost $250 which was a lot compared to other playpens. Be aware that it is very heavy, so its not really portable. As for the play mat, I haven't used it and its still in its plastic bag. As pointed out in the Choice report on playpens, there is the risk of a finger pinch hazard in the shutting of the gate, especially around the bottom section - you must ensure you keep the gate shut as a little person might pull the gate shut themselves and jam their fingers.

recommend this playpen. Doesn't look hideous and easy to put into corners etc rather than having a massive playpen taking up all the room. Rug included fits perfectly. Quite expensive. design yet very functional, one-handed gate mechanism gate opening mechanism is a bit clunky - to get the gate to close properly you have to line up the handle with the top catch fairly precisley, which is more time-consuming than an auto-close gate (obviously) and fiddling with it takes a few seconds each time you go through.

mopping etc. This was the only play pen product that we could find that could conform to nearly any shape and was able to be used as a secure barrier rather than just a circular play pen. This product can attach to walls making it usable as a room divider, or as we have used in a corner to make an extra large play area. There is a gate on it, so you dont have to climb over it. We have been able to leave it set up with the gate open allowing our baby to enter and exit as she pleases for regular play time. She loves it, as it also provides a secure structure for her to stand with and practice walking along. the product is white and made with thing bars so it is not confronting, and does not look like an eye sore, and our little one can easily see what is going on in the room still. It also folds up quite small for easy storage. It is more expensive than other play pens, but offers so many more options and security that it is worth it.
