Little Takas Biodegradeable

Best nappies by far – I cannot believe that these nappies are not being produced any more. They are by far the best disposable nappy. So soft, no chemicals, easy to use and a great fit. Also better priced than other biodegradable nappies on the market. I hope the manufacturers change their mind and start production again. I will definitely buy them! Everything: fit,… Read more
material, no silly prints, soft, reliable, economical. nothing - except they do not make them anymore (I hope this will change)
Brilliant nappies – Very sad to hear the company has gone bust, I have found a nappy I am very happy with, they are the best nappies I have tried and they are better for the environment. The nappies are very soft and generous around the fork and I feel good knowing that they are made from natural materials lovely and soft, great fit, better for the environment not stocked in all stores Show reply
Fantastic nappies! Even when a Poonami hits – These nappies are advertised as 90% biodegradable. So, why only 90%? Is this a marketing gimmick I thought. Well no, the reason only 90% is because the sticky tabs dont biodegrade. So on that front; I'm happy. When I got these nappies (Little Takas Infant) I tested them alongside the Huggies I'd trusted for bubs first 5 weeks. Huggies were… Read more · 3
great and so I was reluctantly looking at other nappies mainly because of the guilt factor and filling land-fill sites. I'd tried other biodegradeable nappies but they had been awful. Soo, to test them I poured a cup of coffee into a Huggies and then same into a Little Takas. That was my first suprise; the Huggies spilt some onto the table but the Takas didnt. I then got some kitchen towel and dabbed the inside of the nappies; both left the towel dry.
So, then on to using them on bub. Well, I was amazed. They are actually better then Huggies (and I thought I'd never say that!). The Huggies would sometimes leak slightly at the sides and bub also seemed to get more nappy rash with them. Could be bub is now slightly older (8 weeks old now) dunno; but less nappy rash and they have never leaked except 2 times when bub had huge poo explosions.
Very impressed. Great nappies. Do the job and dont fill the landfill sites. Getting them. Can only find one place at the moment which is way too expensive and so I'm not getting them right now!
LOVE THESE .. but no longer available – I love Little Takas! I've been using them for about a year now and swear by them - baby never gets rashes, they are so soft to touch and don't have crazy cartoons all over them. I've had problems sourcing them over the last few months and this morning, through a website, I've found out the company has closed down. So no more nappies! Oh NO! Good quality, great absorbancy, soft and biodegradable more expensive than normal nappies but well worth it
Well worth it – I found these nappies to be a great buy overall and would definitely buy them again. They were very soft and were great in the hot weather as they were highly breathable. They soaked up a LOT of wee and were excellent at containing number 2s. We only had a couple of small leaks from pooplosions which you would expect from any other leading… Read more
brand. They were also small and compact to pack into a nappy bag and didn't have silly, embarrassing designs on them. They also had that feel good factor of being biodegradable. The most negative factor was that they were hard to find, even online. Very soft and breathable, EXTREMELY absorbant, biodegradable, comparable pricing if bought on a special We did have a couple of minor leaks with pooplosions but no more than you would expect from other leading brands of disposables. The main problem was the availability. They're not stocked in Tasmania at all that I can find and hard to get online.
Really soft! Much better than any others we've tried! – Overall I find them really easy to use - they're comfortable overnight and baby has slept in them overnight since he was 3wo! They draw moisture away so well that a certain Grandpa that baby sits never changes a nappy because he's always convinced he's dry! Similar to other reviewers, we've had a few leaks but that's all with poonamis. I… Read more
like the simple design. Really nice feel, environmentally friendly, and compact! Hard to find - not all sizes in Franklins, not in Coles, Woolies or KMart
Love these nappies :) – Love these nappies. They are soft, efficient and have a nice look about them. The sizing is generous and they last over night. Good sizing and soft Not available at Coles or Woolworths
Very happy!! – These environmentally friendly nappies are fantastic and we have been using them for our baby girl since she was about two months-old. :) She was a small newborn, so it took a while before she could fit the Little Takas newborn range, but we have been very happy with these nappies since. These nappies are soft, good quality and can hold a lot in… Read more · 1
them!! They were very impressive from the first time we used them for our daughter. We alternate between these nappies and Nature Babycare nappies, also a good brand. They are also good value for money and some shops offer really good discounted prices occasionally. Environmentally friendly and good quality. It would be good if they were available in bulk packs.
Soft and environmentally friendly – Received some samples at the baby and toddler show. I have not heard about this brand before. I found it really easy to use and it didn't leak at all after a nights sleep. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it was chunkier in size when new. When it came to packing my baby's nappy bag to take out, the Little Takas took up room. environmentally responsible, soft and easy to use when new, it takes up room if you are on the go
excellent nappies! – I found little takas on line as i was looking for eco friendly nappies and have not been dissapointed at all! I think its important to take the environment into consideration and I'm so happy to have found little takas!!! Love how soft they are, love that they are biodegradable! We have never had any nappy rash and never had a leak! My little one… Read more
sleeps 11 hours at night and these nappies hold up strong! Also have had some massive number 3's and they still didnt leak! Nothing wrong with the nappies at all just would like to be able to buy a box of 100.
Wonderful! – I stumbled across these nappies in a supermarket one day & thought I would give them a try. I've been a little dubious about "green" nappies previously as they are so expensive just to give a go & risk not liking them. These can be pricey too but I managed to stock up when they had a "buy 1 box, get 1 box free" deal going, which made them pretty… Read more
close to the Other big brand nappy prices.
After trying these they are great! I love them & tell all my friends about them!
The newborn nappies fit well with my newest addition & the only time we had a leak was when someone other than myself (with less experience) put the nappy on - leaving a gap at the leg.
The 6-11kg size did seem just that little bit too big to progress straight into from the newborn size & I did end up using other brands for about 3 weeks in between (the newborn were way too small to keep using during this time). However now that bub has grown just that little bit more, they are again fitting wonderfully.
I love the fact that they are also 90% degradable - when in an open air environment. I do use degradable nappy bags, but don't use them with these spent nappies as the nappy brand claims they will break down in 6 months, but the bags only claim to do this after 18 months.
I love them! 90% biodegradable. Soft. No leaks. 6-11kg size is just a little too big for a little while.
Most impressed with little takas – Have been using little takas with my newborn for 10 weeks now. Cant rate them highly enough, have not had a single leak even overnight(which we did once have with huggies), no nappy rash or irritation, and relieves the guilty conscious about putting something into landfill that will never degrade. Highly recommended! Reliable, kind on skin, biodegradable Pricier than non-degradable nappies
Affordable and effective environmentally friendly option – I spent a lot of time researching biodegradable disposable nappies to find out which is the best and most affordable brand. After a lot of digging and trying different samples I found Little Takas. The newborn size is a great fit for my son (he was almost 4 kg when born but newborn sizes in other brands were still too big), they're soft and super… Read more
absorbent and we've had minimal blowouts. We're really happy with them and would like to see this relatively new brand stick around. Inexpensive compared to other brands - usually can find deals online. Sizing is accurate. Not widely available in supermarkets.
Good – We're really happy with the brand and look forward to them being more readily available. We were sceptical at first as we've tried other bio nappy brands before and they were like using paper. These are in a league of their own. Really worth a try. Little Takas nappies have leg bands that don't seem to fold in which is fantastic, means we don't… Read more · 1
get any leaks.
They are surprisingly soft to touch which is great as we're using them on our newborn.
They have very genorous tabs which is excellent as baby is growing quickly.
The actual nappy size is perfect, not bulky on the newborn but big enough for containment as we have a once a night waker....no leaks so far. To date we've found nothing wrong with Little Takas nappies they really are fantastic.
