  Flame Effect Heater

Glass panel disintegrated and exploded while not in use during summer – It disintegrated and exploded while not in use . Came home to find it crumpled everywhere on the floor . It was weird to see especially when it’s summer and wasn’t used

Was great at first, flame effect lasted all of two winters (approx 6 months) – This heater was great, I really only wanted it for the fire effect to go in an old fireplace, flame effect lasted two winters and when reading the manual, the led globes can't be replaced (would have been nice to know prior to purchase). Called Easy Home after sales support and 3 weeks later still waiting for a returned call. Dodgy! Show details

Dangerous - do not use – This heater exploded as I lifted it bent over, to move it a short distance. (Wednesday 8 October 2020) - bought it in 2019. The shards of glass cut both my legs below the knees.

Just missing the sound effects – I rushed into Aldi last Saturday evening and was lucky enough to find several Flame Effect fires still available. For some reason, there seems to be little demand for fake fires in south east Qld. I live in a typical, timber, breezy tropical home that just needed a little winter cosiness - and I found it. Despite the scoffing by my designer… Read more

partner, we pulled the fire out of the box, assembled the few bits that needed to be put together, poured a whiskey, plugged it in and turned it on accompanied by Spotify crackling fire sound effects, dimmed the lights, and five of us sat, side-by-side, mesmerised by the flickering flames. It seems to heat quite well, but I've only used the heating effect once. The flames are cleverly realistic - certainly good enough to create a warm atmosphere on a winter's night (the more whiskey, the more realistic). Not so good with marshmallows, and make sure you have ad free Spotify.

My only complaint is with the sound. It croaks a little bit like a ventriloquist frog. I had to walk around to find out where the sound was coming from before I realised it was the fire - but is well hidden by the Spotify sound effects. Some built in fire-sound options would perfect it!

Great – What a fantastic heater, gives you feeling of a real open fire with full flame effect on coals. Remote control and on and off switch, small tv size, needs 2 people to assemble but once it is set up the effect is amazing, you don't have to have the heat on to get the flame effect. Very happy indeed.  Show details

Looks Better than it is – The heater looks appealing, like a fireplace. There are two settings and the highest is 1800W. The heat radiates from the top. If you close off all the doors it makes the house feel warmer, but it's not best I've used.  Show details
