RUN DOES NOT WORK- DO NOT HONOR WARRANTY – I have had three installed by my builders qualified electrician. They have not worked since installation. Always used with the window open. Master en-suite the extraction has constant condensation that is dripping from the ceiling onto the floor, plenty of noise but extraction does not work at all. The heat lamp keeps making a popping noise.… Read more

Second en-suite the heat lamp kept popping and has now blown and no longer works at all. Third is in a spare bathroom never used so can't comment. Warranty has meant I had to fill out so much paper work and wait forever for the product to come from China and for someone to come and look at it. Was told this is just the product. Was sent a charge when they finally came out, which I refused to pay as what is the point of a warranty and it is still not fixed or working. I have followed up and asked for a full refund to buy from IXL Tastic or Beacon that I have used in the past with no problems at all. I have followed up Martec again to have the product fixed, and all they have asked responded is to pay the invoice again for a product that still has not been fixed. Don't waste your money or time. I have regularly built and used other products this is the first and last time I have used Martec, NEVER again.

Be aware – I recently had a Martec 3 in 1 - Fan ,3lights and heat lamp installed in an ensuite. The room is approx. 12M3. Even for this small area the exhaust fan is totally useless. In all regards it has been installed correctly. Unbelievably when you get out of the shower and leave it running it drips water. Your suggestion to run a fan for 30 minutes… Read more

after showering is ludicrous. The original heat lamp has already needed to be replaced. This product is not fit for purpose.

Faulty product/ fire hazard – The heat lamp exploded , it became hot enough to melt the solder and a small fire making the unit unusable and unable to replace heat lamp and glass of which we had purchased replacements before realising so we are out of pocket for these items. Martec was rude and unhelpful in all dealings and just randomly sent the same unit to a local… Read more

electrician while we were overseas to install. I told them it’s unacceptable as I don’t want this fire hazard in my house but rather a full refund or different unit. They refused and cut off contact. Beware of this dangerous and faulty unit. Additionally the extraction is useless and the bathroom remains fogged.

OK. Not great – Heating is OK for a small/ single lamp unit - good for small bathrooms. Our 1st heating lamp lasted <6 months. Note, it does not take the standard $8 189mm 1000w r7 globes - it takes 214mm globes (MRL1000W) which cost $30+ each. The fan function is ok, it keeps up with all but really hot showers. The big gripe however is the fixings on the… Read more

single piece cover. There are 2 clips on one end to support the cover and two screws on the other to secure it. After 1 globe replacement the holes for the screws, in the incredibly thin mounting tabs were stripped and completely useless and required upsizing screws

Extraction SUCKS - Buyer Beware! – Purchased for ensuite reno. 2016. Extraction has always been VERY poor resulting in damage to mirrors which now need replacing. From day 1, it has never worked efficiently to extract mist in our small ensuite. Fan has worked only intermittently over the past couple of months. Heater and lights have been OK although we rarely use the heater option. Calls to customer service has been met with little interest.
