Worst Lawn mower ever – Had problems from the start first was the starter motor. They said had to wait 12 months for the part had it back in the repair shop five times since owning it and then today, the whole bolt system that holds the cutting blades up now, have broken disappeared. Every bolt on this machine is always loose. Have nothing but problems. Don’t buy… Read more

Masport would only repair it would not replace it and Bunnings would not swap it. The most expensive lawnmower I’ve ever had and still spending

Suitable for relatively flat yards – I bought this mower from bunnings about 10 months ago when on special I find it suits my needs as it was the only ride on with a catcher that can fit thru a 900mm gate opening. It does struggle on sloping ground. Tyre pressure needs to be maintained for accurate height adjustment. The seat is comfortable, controls well placed with many safety… Read more

motor cut out features. The micro switch that senses the catcher being in the correct location often gets full of grass and fails to work but a quick blow with the air blower each time it is used frees up the switch Likewise the catcher full switch also gets covered in grass and need to be cleaned regularly The battery is hard to get to at as the covers have to be removed from the front panel The discharge opening could do with a top deflector to stop grass being sent upwards and into the top of the catcher as the top of the catcher appears to be worn now and will need replacing eventually. Instruction manual is very comprehensive but fails to list or show service parts or any parts available for the machine generally

Never again – I purchased the ride on mower 6mths ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The pull start broke, mower would not engage in gear and the starter motor needs replacing. I hope no one ever needs to use their warranty. I found that very few service centres want to touch masport warranties, expect to travel a some distance for repairs. Masport… Read more

Customer service agent was so rude even telling me it was probably the person operating the mower. It’s pretty hard to blame the operator when firstly it wouldn’t start, he even told me it wasn’t his problem.

Not happy! – Trouble with it from day 1. Seat broke off it is last straw. Have a 3/4 acre block, used about once per month for 18 months. Stalls if the grass a little bit long, catcher full of holes, jams if a little bit of string gets under it. Generally only use half the cutting width to stop stalling. Show details

Poor quality product – Catcher material started tearing after only 3 uses. Ignition key kept falling out of the keyhole. I have to stomp on reverse pedal to get it moving. The shoot to the catcher broken in 2 places & gets blocked, as a result the engine keeps conking out. The break does not work properly. Worse of all, starter motor fell off after 5 months. The lever to engage the cutting mechanism is in awkward place - too low to reach. Show details

Great Mower – Just purchased, used once only , waiting for lawn to grow so I can use again. Easy to use on flat suburban 1/4 acre block, controls easy to use. Catcher easy to empty and ride is comfortable. Some controls still a bit stiff to use. Fuel tank small but mower is economical. Very happy with my purchase.Engine noise is reasonable. Show details

Ride-on mower masport r7 -65.8 HD – I bought this mower from bunnings about 8 months ago, i find it suits my needs very well.We have a large front lawn which takes a push mower over 1 hour to do, but this ride- on takes around 15-20 minutes, the back lawn is smaller but tight, I find it easy to manoeuvre. The catcher is easy to empty even when operating, our lawns are mainly buffalo… Read more

grass and flat. The seat is comfortable, controls well placed, this mower has not had its battery recharged as yet. The battery is hard to get to for me, and the fuel tank could be a bit larger, but all in all this for me is perfect.I hope this review is of value to others,Peter.
