I have just used my thermochef for the first time, and i have slightly have the problem of it burning slightly on one side. Also i cant remove the blades to clean them, i have done everything the book says but i cant get them out. Any help?
perhaps turn down the temperature to avoid burning, blades always tricky as are quite stiff when new.
good luck
Mine always burnt on the same spot too so probably just the way it is. The blades are just hard to get out.
Does the superchef have reverse as I have checked some therm recipes and they need reverse and I haven't been able to find it on the machine?
Mary maybe you didn't read my post. I am recommending everyone stays clear of this machine! No what functions it has
No reverse function
Hi all, all the pictures in the manuals have the measuring cup down, but i have been told i should have cup upwards. How does everybody have theirs? Thanks
I used the machine with the mc down... All the best!
Have these guys gone out of business? support number is not connected.
I never received any response from them via email or phone, had to throw the machine away

I bought this on line from Why Pay Full Price - The heating doesn't work - I want replacement or refund but no one will answer my emails. I have sent 5 of them - Please tell me how I can get refund to replacement
external link Hi. I am so sorry you aregoing thruthis. After reading a little aboutthis company, Iwould suggest contacting ACCC, and maybe your bankand explain the situation to see what they can do. Your bank may be ableto reverse thecharges given this company's history.... which you can get some grasp of byreading theabove thread.
Please act quickly and keep us posted.
best of luck
kind regards
Nancy
Just wondering if any one on here still has been using a superchef for a while (maybe longer than 6 months) and thinks it was still a good investment? Any issues? Is it just sitting on your bench gathering dust? Thanks in advance!
Kim I use it to death ! I love it . You'll use it everyday .
Kim I'm still using mine with much love . Looks like I'm one if the lucky ones .
Why does it look exactly like a Bellini? Is it the same machine and if now how does it differ, if not in looks.
Hello, sorry for the delay . I know nothing about the Bellini , so can't really comment . This machine for me is the best . I just love it . Conner at head office is very helpful . I haveconlybpraise for this machine ,
I have just brought my maxi superchef. I used it last night and found it to be really loud. Is this normal or do I not have something set up right?
Yep it is pretty loud...my toddler always ran out of the kitchen with hands over ears whenever I turned it on.
Is there anywhere online I can get more receipes for cooking?
Thermomix have a community page,Bellini addicts on face book is an excellent page and it doesn't matter what machine you have. It is a very good group to be in always extremely helpfull .girls are lovely
Does it blend milkshakes /smooties etc plus slice veges?
I took machine back next day as it burnt the rice badly on first cook and I couldn't get all the burn mark of the jug base,I have the target Bellini ,same looking machine and am about to make an iced coffee in it.doesnt exactly slice vegies but will chop up smaller.so far this machine is working fine.
Has anyone cooked white or brown rice in the Superchef? I was wondering how it turned out? Also, I see that it has a 24hr pre programmer. Does this mean that you can programme when you want it to start cooking?
I cooked brown rice last night according to the recipe direction. Only about one third of the rice cooked. The other 2/3 was uncooked. I think the recipe might be wrong. I'm going to try again using less 100g of rice instead of the 400g the recipe states.
Cooking 100g of brown rice with 900g of water worked perfectly - made enought rice for one serve.
Can you taste test your food without reseting the whole appliance ie: times, heat etc.?
I have had to reset it after lifting the lid. It is certainly a opportunity for improvement to add a pause button.
Can you stop the machine to taste test without having to reset the times etc?
Yes. Just remove the measuring cup/cover and use a tea spoon to scoop. Be careful not to go too deep to touch the blade
I am an appliance junky and I love to use every one of them.We are now empty nesters but I love to cook and do so in bulk for many reasons. Any thoughts... Would I be wasting my money buying a maxi cooker? It sounds terrific and I know a few who have the thermomix but refuse to spend that sort of money. Options appreciated.
Only you can answer that! I have found it has made cooking interesting again. It has made cooking easier, I am confident to try way more complex dishes than I use to. Do your research, it is a different way of cooking. I am cooking for kids and find I can put tasty, healthy meals on the table in a very short time without much mess.
Hi, Addicted Dee. so far I have no complaints with my Maxi SuperChef, it has done everything that a Thermochef can do except weigh the ingredients, and I don't find that a problem, (saving $1100 is never a problem with me). I have a friend with Thermomix, and she can't show me what it can do that the Maxi can't. I guess we are all different and have different expectations of what an appliance can do and should do, (I'm a skeptic when I read advertising), but all I can say is I found it does things beyond what I expected. IMO in a word it's brilliant. If you decide to purchase one, I think you would be extremely happy. The Thermomix ad says you can throw all your other appliances away, that is not true, but it does make a lot of them obsolete. Hope this helps.
