I bought my daughter two M &W white cashmere dinner sets advertised as fine porcelain. The glaze has come off the dinner plates leaving a horrible blotchy effect. Is this to be expected?

I had this happen too. I contacted Maxwell and Williams and they were exemplary in their customer service. They ended up sending me 2 boxes to replace the mix of damaged plates from my original 2 box purchase. Faultless service!

My parents bought me 12 place settings of the M&W white cashmere for Christmas. The glaze has come off all the plates and bowls that we use regularly. I rang Myer but they said there was nothing they could do without the receipt (which I never had because it was a present). For what is supposed to be bone china and dishwasher/microwave proof, these are very low quality and not fit for purpose. Do not buy M&W cashmere bone china - it is rubbish.

I just received my new set of Cashmere Coupe dinnerware and discovered that they don't match my old set. I don't understand. I will probably return and look elsewhere. Why would Maxwell ....change their design without letting customers know??

I have noted that this page is monitored by Maxwell and Williams representative, however they have failed to make any response to all these similar concerning reviews.

I was about to purchase a couple of sets and am very disappointed to see that there’s no attempt to rectify or explain the situation.

I have a Maxwell Williams maxi pull unit and the housing is almost melting off coming off. I end up with black stains on my hands and table. What is happening here?

I am looking at purchasing their white cashmere set but obviously after reading reviews are concerned about the glaze coming off within 2-3 months. Who has the the white cashmere set and what was your experience?

Does anyone know if its only on the cashmere dinner sets that craze and the shine comes off? And will Myers or the company always refund your money even without a receipt?

Not sure but when i mentioned it to House who i got mine from they said to bring one in to show them . I got the impression that it wasn't going to make a difference so we didn't bother. We bought two sets that ended up being thrown out . I wouldn't buy anything from Maxwell Williams again .

I have just purchased a 12 setting Cashmere dinner set. After reading these reviews I'm really disappointed. I destroyed the receipts after purchasing as I never thought I would need them. I have had my last every day dinner set for 45 years (Royal Alma with big family using every day) and apart from a few breakages it never chipped or stained. It was never meant for dishwasher or microwave and has just recently started to craze. I'm now thinking I have done the wrong thing with my purchase of the Cashmere set.

Mine is from the coloured Enchante range. The yellow and blue pieces have lost their glaze, red and pink pieces still okay ( I purchased a mix of pieces for casual dining) I don’t have white so don’t know if it stands the test of time. I hope this is helpful Babs

Thank you Suzi K. How disappointing for you! I have never had that happen to any china I have owned! Looks as though I'm going to have to wait and see what happens to my white Cashmere set.
