Mazda CX-80 (2024-2026)
Also referred to as: Mazda CX-80 2025 and Mazda CX-80 2027.1 review
Not much of hybrid efficiency with a 3.3L engine Hesitating gearbox during changeover Unwanted traction control to monitor driver and steering control making it actually difficult for driver and increased car price Unwanted complicated sensors on the outer body making it expensive to replace and increased car price Increased maintenance costs They could have done better with a simpler car with less complications and lesser price I would think most of the issues would be same with the CX models
Follow-up · Yes there was gear hesitation experienced when drive changes over from electric/stop to engine. A simpler Hybrid would be really good without all the unwanted expensive gadgets. Traction control was irritating and could be damaging as the motor fights with the driver even if slight lane offset. Also there is not permanent setup to turn it off. It needs to be done everything you start car. Poor thought process.
