Poor design – Lid does not seal, allowing fruit flies to lay eggs, creating maggots to escape onto kitchen bench. Cary handle is very flimsy.
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $10.50.
Thank you for your response. I don't want it to be airtight, just insect proof. I know what a kitchen caddy does. I have had many. To perform it's function, it needs to be insect proof.

Hi, please note this is a bin to hold your waste for a day or two before putting the waste in the compost. This is not an air tight bucket (like a bokashi bucket). If you are looking for something to be airtight then Bokashi buckets are more for you. Regarding the handle we have also never had a handle break so it is strong enough to hold the weight.
