I wish I'd read some reviews before I bought two large bags. My kittens, who were street cats and will eat everything including paper napkins, won't touch this unless it's mixed into other dry food. I mixed it in for months although it smells bad - burnt and dusty - they still won't touch it by itself but they love the other, cheaper food, Fussy… Read more
Cat Grain Free. I'm not going to keep trying with the Meals for Meows, it's unkind and I'm concerned that it might damage their health. What a waste of money.
Do not buy. Cat developed urinary problems similar to others and cost a fortune in emergency vet visit.
I didn’t realise so many cats didn’t like this food to eat it! Mine didn’t like it either, but I persevered and they have almost eaten the whole bag. Seeing how many don’t like it I feel bad, I just thought they were being fussy! I’ll go back to the last food they had. We used to use meals for mutts for our dog and it was great. Disappointed to read all these reviews and will not buy another bag. Show details
Cats will either love it or hate it – I’ve used this for a cat with allergies before and it was great for that. However the cats I have now don’t like it. Show details
Rejected by 8 cats – I have 8 rescue cats and normally buy Advance multicat. I buy 20kg bags at a time. I decided to give this a go because it's hypo-allergenic but my cat's hate it, I didn't expect that all 8 cats would refuse to eat it leaving me with 20kg of dry food and $152 out of pocket. I can't recommend this product because if 0 out of 8 cats won't touch it then it's obviously awful. Show details
Even the stray cats won’t eat it – Was given to my dad from a friend because their cat wouldn’t eat it. My parents have 2 cats who also wouldn’t eat it. My 2 cats are not fussy and they wouldn’t eat it either. Tried feeding it to the stray cats in the area and even they won’t touch it.. Show details
Something isn't right – I started feeding my cats the Meals for Meows dry food in the Mackerel & Salmon flavour back in December 2022. Shortly after switching to this food, we had the fright of our lives when one of our young and healthy cats suddenly developed severe urinary issues e.g. crystals formed in this urine and he was peeing blood. We spent thousands at the… Read more
vet, on medications, and had to promptly change to a prescription urinary diet. Our cat almost didn't survive this experience. After some time, medication, and the prescription urinary diet, our cat reverted completely back to his normal, healthy self, and our last vet trip showed that the crystals in his urine had decreased drastically. I didn't suspect that the food may have caused this at first, however, I found out that there were at least 2 other reviews of this food on the PetCircle website from owners who shared that their cats also encountered urinary problems after eating this food. To top this off, both Meals for Mutts and Meals for Meows are now suffering a barrage of negative reviews due to their poor quality control. The risk simply isn't worth it when there are so many other reputable brands around. Keep your pets safe, and steer clear of this brand entirely.

If I could give zero stars I would – I have been a loyal customer of M4M for years and have convinced many family and friends to switch over to this brand as I truly believed it was the best for our furbabies. The past year or so the quality has taken a nosedive however. In early December I opened a bag of Kangaroo and Turkey 2.5kg and noticed straight the odd smell and there were a… Read more
few pieces throughout the bag that did not look like the same food. I have contacted M4M and have provided photos like they asked and have even gone so far as too keep the bag as "proof" like they asked me to when they gave me empty promises of taking this issue seriously and that they were looking into it. I have sent a couple emails since then asking for an update and have been ignored. So, unfortunately I'm guessing they have no intention of rectifying this which means I'm now out of pocket for the bag, I've had to go and buy different dry food for my cats and have had to change the food over without transitioning them properly and having to deal with loose stools, etc until they got used to the new brand. I will no longer be a loyal customer to M4M and I will be encouraging all my family and friends to stop purchasing this brand. Very disappointing for an Australian company
Never again – Been feeding my cats Meals for Meows for a while now and the recent bag has had a few different unrecognisable biscuits, piles of burnt black biscuits and a number of biscuits with strange organic material sticking out of them. My cats turned their nose up at them which is what prompted me to check the full back. I contacted MfM back in late… Read more
November/early December and got what was clearly a copy and paste response in return. Since providing the details requested by them on the 5th of December I haven't heard back. Now I'm $30+ out of pocket for that bag and have had to switch to a new food without being able to slowly transition my two cats, which made them sick.
Think they've recently changed the recipe. Cats now refuse to touch it. Non existent customer service – My cats happily ate the first bag I purchased for them. I recently purchased another bag and noticed that the kibble was larger. I fed it to my cats and they refuse to eat it. I contacted MFM and 2 weeks later still no reply. Terrible customer service and terrible food. Will never buy again. Show details
Made my cat ill, but customer service was great hence the 5 stars – After using meals for meows for close to a year, kangaroo flavour, I decided to give my cat the mackerel and salmon flavour.. within weeks my cat became, lethargic, skinny, unhappy an dragging her feet.. I contacted MFM an explained what happened, that I’ve seen reviews from their meals for mutts and that within 2 days of changing back her food my… Read more
