Ordered 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres through their mobile service. Before the appointment I specifically advised that my alloy wheels were immaculate and asked them to confirm rubber-tipped levers would be used to avoid damage. I was assured there… Read more ·  1

would be no risk.

Unfortunately, after the tyres were fitted 3 of the 4 alloys are now marked. The damage appears consistent with the wheel being clamped by the fitting machine.

Really disappointing as the wheels were previously in perfect condition. Hoping the company will reach out to resolve the issue.

Follow-up  · The mobile team called me and arranged an immediate repair of the alloys. Good as new! In this day and age that approach was really refreshing.

Absolutely the best tyres I've ever driven on. Quiet, smooth and lots of grip. Brakes and corners very well. Have not driven in the wet yet. But based on other reviews I'm looking forward to it. Show details

The service was excellent, the fitter was superb and then two days later I got an offer for a 15% discount on 4 tyres as an Australia Day special. Saving over $170 is not insiginifcant. It is s frustrating when this happens when you do not need 4 tyres and leaves a sour taste in your mouth that you remember and would not use the company again.… Read more

Dry Weather Handling

Best tyres I have fitted on my stock 86 (brz). The wet grip is absolutely insane to the point where during normal driving, difference in traction between wet and dry is barely noticeable. In the dry however, you can definitely notice the soft sidewall when hard cornering, you feel the car flexing and being a bit unstable. A huge upgrade to the… Read more

Korean UHP equivalents I have fitted (Ventus S1 evo3- great in the dry, absolutely horrendous in the wet, Ecsta PS71 - mediocre in both wet and dry).

I also had Continental Sportcontact5 which was indistinguishable in performance to the PS5 but the treadwear was absolutely horrendous (rears worn down to fail pink slip at only 25,000kms on an underpowered 152kw and very light 1200kg car with zero track days).

So much better than Bridgestone Turanza Tires – Purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires for our 2016 Mini Clubman. With only 48,000 km it had already worn through the original set of factory Bridgestone Turanza T001 tires and a second set of them fitted at 28,000kms. Jax Tires in Caulfield did a great job with the changeover, wheel balance and alignment. The difference is simply… Read more

unbelievable. So much quieter, so much smoother, a feeling of much better grip, wet or dry. Would highly recommend these tires. Well worth the investment and cheaper than the Bridgestones.

Best sports tyre on the market – Bought these for my Golf GTI 7.5 with the intention of an occasional track day. They have outperformed my expectations on every level. Handling and braking performance is exceptional on dry and wet environment. Steering response is great and they seem to last. Even fuel economy improved from the Bridgestone the Golf came with. Honestly, they're worth every cent. Show details ·  1

Good grip in all conditions – Have great confidence in all driving conditions without fear of losing grip. Makes the car feel like a go-kart. However they are expensive and they are noisy in my small car. Can’t comment on durability as it’s still too early to tell as I have only driven 5000-10000km on them. However I do expect to get over 30000km on the set. Show details

Best tyres I've owned – Great grip in the heat compared to other tyres I've ran, works perfectly as expected in the rain. Slides and flicks gravel up but they are beasts on the track as they are designed, highly recommend and would definitely get another set. Show details

Very soft side walls – Bought 4 new pilot sport 5 tyres have good grip in the dry and the wet. Good feedback and ride. Problem got a flat and drove for about 1 minute before I realised it. Put the spare tyre on drove to tyre repair shop the have it fixed. When the tyre was taken off it had heaps of rubber inside from drive flat for 1 minute. Tyre damage beyond repair… Read more

had to buy a new PS5. Had a feel of the side walls very soft felt a few different brands and all had stronger side walls. When these tyres need replacing I won't be buying these again.
