Noisy and dusty – The mulch it creates is good for composting because the particles are very fine, I would not recommend it for pathways or similar uses. It's also incredibly fast. However, it is VERY noisy and generates a lot of dust—my neighbors are going to hate me. It handles stems and branches well but struggles with leaves. In hindsight, I would have preferred getting another Ozito "silent shredder," which costs only a little more.

Efficient workhorse for garden use – Simple assembly, efficient, powerful product. Self feeding works really well. Short power cord avoids getting tangled when moving product. Smart product design, and very easy to use.

Seems good quality with a few problems – The Good: Excellent, comprehensive downloadable manual Powerful, fast but reasonably quiet Easy to assemble and operate Nice and portable Large hopper Good safety features (you'd need to be a real goose to get injured) The Bad: Power cord is way too short, it should at least reach the ground to be able to plug into extension boxes The top of the hopper is not sealed and much of the shredded material is ejected (blown out) from all around the top of the hopper making a right old mess. For example, I shredded a few old corn stalks and nearly all of the lighter leafy bits were seemingly blown out of the gaps at the top of the hopper onto the ground and all over the machine itself, necessitating an unwelcome cleanup All the advertising infers it is made in the US but in fact it's made in China.
