So this micro kickboard is OK for 3year old too? Is that what the last review is implying?

my (just turned) 2 yo does use it (the kickboard is mine, he has a mini micro). the board is much higher off the ground though and the deck is bigger, so hes no where near as mobile on it. I wouldnt specifically buy it for a 3 yo, although a maxi micro would probably be quite ok, their decks are closer to the ground, if youre trying to get something which would last longer.

I wouldnt suggest the kickboard for a three year old, I would say when child reaches 5 - 7yrs would be appropriate for kickboard, as they are similar to a skateboard

I have found the 'micro scooters' website more than helpful. I've enjoyed looking at all the age group appropriate ones..they very clear. Now just to choose one for me. I've not had one but am very keen. Better hurry coz I'm 60!

HI, I recently bought a kickboard and I find that my back wheel starts to slip on any surface that is not completely smooth. For instance, this may happen on a tiled pavement. Would it be possible to replace my back wheel and brake system with the one from the monster?

I'm not sure, I would email the micro people they Thier website, they were very helpful when my iPad managed to order me two instead of one scooter and got straight back to me when I emailed... I've had not trouble w mine slipping, but I do have a generic maxi micro style scooter and the flatter brake on it does slip. ( for when friends are over!) I think it's just micro.com.au or something like that.... I'm sure that would find it for u.

Hi Janus,

While it is possible to completely swap out the back section, we don't currently have any available. If you get in touch to info@microscooters.com.au we may be able to workshop some solutions for you.

Thanks - Sean

Hi, I would like to buy a micro adult scooter so I can commute to work. I am tossing between FA, Kickboard compact, and Suspension. It has been difficult in Brisbane to find a shop that stock all three versions and in fact most of the stockist only have kids scooters but do not actually stock adult scooters. Could you advise a shop that I can try them to make a decision before I buy? Many thanks!!

Hi there, If you have skateboarded in the past the micro scooter kickboard would be appropriate for you, I find they have more speed than a skateboard and you have to come to terms with the lean steer system it has or else you may find you were better off with a standard scooter, however, i purchased mine online as it is always an easier option and your not paying the rrp price that a store would add to the original price.

Hi there, Not a lot of stores have all three of the products, but you should try external link  as they have retail outlets in Brisbane and have ordered all three from us in the past. If you want give us a call at (03) 9005 7515 and I can run through the differences through the choices.

I just bought a monster kickboard and haven't ridden it other than over my timber living room floor. I noticed in the manual it says don't ride it down hills?? Does this mean just steep declines? I am also concerned about the ability to steer around street corners when riding with my kids as I cannot make the turn into the hall way on it unless taking a very wide turning circle. Wondering whether I should have got the micro kickboard with narrower wheels or change to the two wheeler like I got for my husband. Neither have scootered before but want to keep up with our kids. Not sure whether to keep the kickboard or send it back before I ride it?? Any suggestions welcomed

Hi,

I am sure you will be fine scooter inn around your local area with your kids. Perhaps go to a store where you can try ridding on both so you can see which one you feel more comfortable with.

Decided to keep the monster think it will be fine, will post a review after Xmas on it

It is fine down any steep hill or any sharp corner, you have a back brake to slow you down if you feel the speed is too fast or the corner is too sharp. It may take some time to get use to the lean steering,, at first i felt it was extremely difficult to steer but you will soon figure out how to lean on the board correctly to a point where it is as similar as riding a skateboard. My advice keep it and continue to practice on street corners. Its a board you need patience with.

I am a mum who wants to exercise with my two boys 6& 10. They love riding their scooters at the skate park and to school (they have to wait for me to run to catch up,) I am 5'8 and would like to keep up with my boys, but also have some fun. I have never really surfed or used a skateboard, paddle board and windsurf with pretty good balance. What should I consider when choosing between a two and three wheeler and how hard are the three wheelers to steer around shorter curves like street corners? Thanks

Hi, what a great idea, to exercise at the same time as them. Many OT reccomend the tthree wheel scooters as they are easy to steer. I find teh adult Micros one of the best on the mark to stear, perhaps you can find a store close by that will allow you to try one out? all the best/

Hi there, the kickboards at first at not easy at all to ride as you have to familiarize yourself with learning steer as to your standard handlebar turn, it should only take you about a week to figure it out and they are the preferred board to use, as their length per kick lasts alot longer than your traditional 2 wheel scooter

There are a few Adult Scooter options available for you in both the three wheel and two wheel format. It really comes down to personal opinion of how you feel riding either one. I personally prefer the two wheel scooters due to the steering being slightly more reactive (based on my experience) and with it being similar to a bike (therefore potentially being more intuitive).

I have heard of the thrill of lean steering on the three wheelers, and how it is akin to snowboarding/surfing, both of which I am RUBBISH at, so this may be why I tend to prefer the two wheel range.

For the two wheel range I would suggest looking at, the Speed+, Flex Air and the Black/White. These Scooters all have larger diameter wheels than can typically be found on Children's models such as the Sprite and Bullet.

Any questions, please get in touch. info@microscooters.com.au

Anthony

gr8 question, height doesn't matter as handle bars are adjustable in height, 3 wheelers are a bit more forgiving with custom suspension, the turning circle is a little bigger then a 2 wheeler, for brakes you learn to use your foot in a sliding motion, basically where i live i brought online sucked it up and got used to it in 10- minutes now use mine more then the kids use theres, over in perth i haven't seen any other adult riding one apart from myself.

beware the kids do brag when i rock up to school with mine to pick my son up,

anything else ask
