First one was excellent, second one not so much – I bought a surface pro a few years back and it gave pretty good service. It's v handy since you can use it as a laptop or a tablet, although, there are occassions when you have to use the keyboard because some function just cannot be done without the keyboard. The camera is excellent giving clear sharp closeup pictures. The processor is also excellent, giving performance far above any other computer I've owned. I no longer use my desktop, only for printing.

Of greatest concern is the charging port: In their wisdom, Microsoft have a magnetised charging port. The magnet in the tablet being strong enough to pick up scissors nail files and pretty well all smaller steel objects. I used my First one in my workshop where I do a lot of metalwork. Placing it down anywhere in the shop resulted in it attracting small metal filings, which eventually led to it burning out the charging port.

Repairs are difficult and the repairman was reluctant to attempt as he said the screen usually breaks on disassembly. I decided to just buy another surface pro. Second one was not as good as the first, a lot slower and seemed to have a lot of bugs which I eventually ironed out.

A pretty good computer, only the magnetism being a bit of a PITA. However, next time I'll try something else, the magnetism being the reason.

Purchased at Harvey Norman for $800.

Perfect Computer for those on the Go – I use this as my everyday laptop and has enough processing power for most activities. I usually have multiple windows open and a media player in the background which it handles very well. the keyboard on this is a must if you want to increase productivity. I also bring this with me when i travel and it doesnt take too much space or weight.

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $1,225.

Fantasticly over priced weapon – i5 8G 256G / i5 so so ….. Fanless i5 woot woot … operation so so , Full operation woot woot , a hidden gem in the respects of 4G on board and that's the only way I would have it or nothing at all …. There is not much you can not do with this unit and sometimes that's a great thing ….. Sometimes bad ….. I will enjoy sitting on the fence on this one, I am glad I own the unit and wonder what the future will bring.
