The graphics on the Xbox was considered far more superior than that of its rival consoles at the time. The Xbox also had 4 controller ports, meaning that up to 4 people can play on the Xbox at one time.

Many also consider the Xbox console "heavy", so if you are physically unable to lift anything over a few kilos, don't lift the Xbox.

I see absolutely no fault at all with the Xbox, except the fact that no new parts and games are made for the console anymore, and the Xbox Live is discontinued. Both these reasons are completely understandable, as the developers of the Xbox, Microsoft, will focus on the newer and improved Xbox, the Xbox 360.

I would recommend the original Xbox to anyone, even if the Xbox you are purchasing is second hand. I purchased my Xbox almost a decade ago, and it is still working as if it were brand new. Sure, it may have been expensive back then, but it was worth every cent I paid. Entertaining, fun games, even though they are considered "outdated". Graphics are good. Can play DVD's, can store and play Audio Tracks. There is an internal hard drive, so no need for stupid memory cards. Allows four controllers. Very cheap now. Console lasts long, my console is almost a decade old and it is still working as if it were brand new. Original Xbox Live is discontinued, console is considered by some as "heavy", quite pricy at time of release (but worth every dollar paid), cannot purchase brand new console parts and console games anymore as the console is considered outdated.

Good – We've had our Xbox for a number of years now and never had any problems with it. We bought the limited addition Crystal Xbox mainly because I liked the looks of it (kids think it looks cool but would have been happy with the original) and it represented good value for money even back then. enough. Purely a cord thing I think and I can't figure out how you get them to last longer. Now I buy them whenever I see them cheap. Buying the proper Xbox brand does not make any difference to their life either. Also I was very annoyed when Xbox magazine changed to Xbox 360 and we were no longer able to get demo discs for the xbox anymore. Still I guess it was a logical step for them to make. Definately prefer Xbox over playstation 2. Looks. Memory. Number of players. Quality. Customer support. New games not coming out so much. No dedicated magazine with demos. Would be nice if controllers lasted longer (same with other corded controllers with other consoles)

Cofortable controls, play up to 4 players on most games some 8 players. Faster loading bigger memory thefore more detailed games. Capable of playing dvd's and music cd's. Has lots of games that is exclusive to it and is enhaced for it.

Beats other consoles just on hardware , even more so in games. Console power cord gets hot in older models but this has been fixxed and microsoft has sent everyone that registered their xbox a new cord that wont. This cord has a surge control/arresster in it so thats brilliant.

This is a great Xbox – Great for children. Keeps them occupied. All different games available. Remote last long time good quality. Durable and easy to use for all ages. Will get a new one will upgrade

to most consoles today. A great step before buying an XBOX 360. There are still a lot of great games available to play. Controllers are easy to use. Better consoles on the market now. A little out-dated so it makes it hard to find. If parts break and need repair or replacing, it will be hard to find someone to do it.

to saving money and is almost just as great as it's predecessor the Xbox 360. You had to play for online play, but online play was something more revolutionary. Now I would have expected them to keep it up and begin un-regulating it to save costs and offer the service for free since it costs very little to keep running. FREE for those games running via. the P2P Multiplayer Protocol.

Is good because you can save to the hard drive at any stage instead of saving to memory sticks etc. We have had trouble with the CD tray sticking and we have to give the top of the consol a little tap so that it will open.

The burnout racing games were also high sellers, for it's time this console is unbeatable play-station 2, game-cube and Nintendo 64 couldn't keep up with the tidal wave of games that Microsoft kept making this console was infinitely better at multiplayer than the main rival play-station 2 This console's controllers were flimsy and broke too easily.

The discs often didn't work and couldn't be read by the Xbox for up to 10 minutes and then would just "magically" work.

playing games like halo and the early Call of Duty games, before I upgraded to the XBOX 360 elite. the graphics on this console are amazing (they demolish those of the play station 2 or the Game cube, they were the best at the time). The controllers are really easy to use and fit much more comfortably in your hand than those of any of the play stations. The Controllers have annoying cables, which tangle as someone walks past the television, unlike the new wireless controllers for the Xbox 360.

graphics were great on this console. Great party console. Controllers were very sturdy. The controllers are a bit bulky. It is rare, but the disc tray can get jammed and must be either pried open or taken to a repair shop.

Can only buy old games for it now that it has been superseeded but since we are only novice occassional users of the machine then it suits our household fine.

The console comes with 4 controller ports so you don't need to buy attatchments to play with more people. The console is really large and bulky which makes it more difficult to move around the room.

my opinion, is one of this console's best features. Its very well made, and doesn't feel like a toy, as compared to the Playstation controllers. I dislike the fact that you have to buy kits to get DVD playback, and also a separate kit to get digital audio.
