FN 14827S – bought this freezer in(FN 14827S) 2012, when opening the freezer yesterday night the handle separated and come out in my hand. I have been looking at the reviews and it seems that this is a fault. contacted customer relations and a handled was sent to me asap. Thanks Miele
Freezer does not live up to the Miele quality hype – Broken handles on both fridge and freezer twice in 5 years. Avoid the products. Miele advised it is the users fault - poor design. Miele quality is a myth on this product. Handles replaced both times and advised no more will be supplied.

Ongoing handle problem - Miele fridge k14820sd and freezer fn14827s pigeon pair - broken handles – Purchased 2013 $5128 from David Jones. Have had three broken handles - today being the third. They last about 2 years and then the plastic snaps and the handle comes away in your hand. This time - my 87 year old father’s hand, almost smacking him in the face, narrowly missing his eye. Last time (March 2018) I was told by Miele as they reluctantly agreed to send me a free replacement ‘that it was not a design fault’, that it was a ‘training’ issue ( we needed to learn how to use the handle correctly) and that this would be the LAST time they would replace a handle free of charge without sending an engineer out to see how we were opening the door.
And if you have a pigeon pair like I have you can’t just order one handle at $217 you have to order two handles as the design has changed. The newer ( replacement ) handle ( on the left in my photo) has a thicker profile at the top and bottom. So $434.48 later and no guarantee that these handles will last.....
I will be ringing consumer affairs as these expensive appliances should not fail in this short timeframe. Miele should own their design faults.
Purchased in at David Jones for $5,128.

Hi Julie, thank you for re-sending your email. Our team has received this and will be in contact as soon as possible. We apologise for the delay. Kind regards, Joel.
Not worth the money – Handles are sharp if you knock them Temperature controls are a nightmare to understand Service dept at Miele is worse - long delays to respond, longer delays till repair man can come Currently 2 weeks in middle of summer with no freezer. Not up to the standard you would expect.
