Miele G 1022 I

Makes a husband obsolete – I have this dishwasher for almost 12 years now. And I can say extremely happy with it. Never gives any trouble. It is quiet and cleans all dishes and cutlery well. Ensure that you use the right product dish washing liquid and cleaner and you get "A Miele for life" Show reply
Very disappointed - product and service – Splurged on a Miele dishwasher only for it to break down after 4 years. Then there was a 4 week wait for Miele service call and nearly 2 weeks later the part still has not arrived. I am beginning to regret spending the extra money for what I thought would be a quality appliance, backed by first class service. Previously I've had Simpson and Blanco… Read more
dishwashers each of which has outlasted Miele threefold with no breakdowns, and they weren't nearly as expensive. Be warned!
Expensive, broke down after 4 years, poor customer service
Excellent – When we first turned the machine on, we thought it wasn't working. It's that quiet. I love the cutlery tray/drawer at the top of the machine. It saves space in the machine, and if you're smart and group all cutlery together according to type, it makes it easier to unload and put away when the cycle has finished. obviously pretty much the same in all dishwashers, this one seems to hold more dishes (probably the cutlery tray helps with this). I also like the fact that these machines are built to last, instead of the built-in obsolesence of the cheaper models. Previous dishwashers that we have had (Dishlex, Bendix) have not washed dishes nearly as well as this one, and certainly not as quietly. We have low water pressure, and the Miele copes well with this. The Dishlex seemed to have a secret built-in floor-washing function, whereas the Miele has an anti-flood feature. I would never go back to a cheapie dishwasher again. I don't think that I will even need to consider another for quite some time, as I expect this to last much longer than the 5 or so years life anticipated for the cheaper models. If that's all you can afford, then fine, but if you're willing to spend a bit more and want something that lasts you can't go wrong with one of these. ULTRA QUIET. Washes exceptionally well. Cutlery tray is a handy bonus. Nothing so far. These machines are pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Excellent – From excellent packaging and careful delivery to your front door, Miele appear to do the whole quality thing well. A nice Villeroy & Boch cutlery set was also supplied as an enticement (these sell on Ebay for around $180). Be aware that the solenoid valve on the end of the water inlet hose is bulky and requires a big hole inside your kitchen… Read more
cabinet for under bench installations. Well made, quiet, roomy inside & the racks slide easliy. Can be easily adapted to fit under a bench. Doesn't dry the bases of cups and mugs very well, but then our old Bosch didn't either. The anti-leak solenoid is a double-edged sword.
