12 Years- Good- 20 years-not looking like a feasible target! – Very happy- no problem, nor service call. (Satisfactory).... Until Mid December, Dishy was behaving well. A grumbling began early in the wash cycle then dissipated. Then next day or so, began to present with a flashing red light/indicator : "inlet/drain"... call in a serviceman- white-goods technician to repair. $400.00 later a part- the inlet… Read more

hose and electrics was purchased- taking 3 weeks to come from Melbourne, problem was not solved- the indicator light is still flashing- why get it repaired?.... One is led to believe that a 2200.00 dishy " will last you 20 years"-yes? Have looked allover the 'net for ideas but how come i have to solve this? Aha, why not get a Meile specialist- at Christmas- ok wait until new year and see if that can happen? Not happy. Previous Dishy was F and P- 1/3 the price and 12 years- what the?

Miele Made to LAST! – Solid construction, excellent washing and drying cycles. Quiet & efficent machine, durable and timeless design. Easy to clean and maintain. Easy to stack and a well designed layout. You have peace of mind knowing a product like Miele is made to last and not give up in 3-5years. What more could you ask for in a dishwasher?  Show details

A Great Dishwasher – This is our 2nd Miele Dishwasher We love it because it is so quiet It cleans perfect every time I love that the company installs their products themselves as I feel comfortable that it has been installed right I believe by paying more than average for this brand we are getting a great product so we will continue to buy only Miele products  Show details

G 1023 and G5300SC – Very disappointed with both (two) Miele dishwashers. The first one (don't remember the model a 3 tray under bench G1023 i think) I bought at Harvey Norman full price about $2,200. It lasted just outside the warranty about 3 to 4 years. The stainless steel look-a-like rusted and scratched from cleaning and the circuit boards wore out. After being… Read more

put through the wringer by their service, I bought a older model G6300 SC at a discounted price on Sep 2014(but thankful for that as some recompense). Now 2.9 years later it has an F14 error. (Circuit boards again i am told). I thought I had purchased both times a premium product that would last. However I am very disappointed that Miele dishwasher only lasts about 3 to 4 years. And disappointed again that after 2 years/10 months the second miele dishwasher stopped working with an F14 error code. As it was is out of warranty (9 months) I have no option other than to pay for an expensive service call of $175.00 plus, plus etc and a week before they could come. As this is half the cost of another band new other brand dishwasher looking on line. I will be buying another brand and hope I get month than 3 years out of it. (A non descript brand bought for a rental property has worked longer than both). So It seems that these dishwashers with circuit boards around steam, water and heat do not have a long life span, so I won't be buying paying a premium or buying a miele again. I will say that while they both worked, both miele cleaned very well. But very disappointed with Miele products at the price that don't last very long.

Not happy! – Our 6 year old Miele G1023 dishwasher developed a fault with the re-circulation pump and that cost us $170 for an initial visit from a technician. When it went wrong again a few days later the tech recommended replacing the pump. That turned out to be a further cost of over $700. We were not prepared to pay that and so we bought an Ariston… Read more

instead for less than the repair cost on the basis that we could buy a few cheap machines, if we needed to, for the cost of one Miele. After installing the cheap machine we realise that the Miele has never cleaned tea stains from cups. The new one does!

lasted 3 years, repair bill huge, doesn't hold large dinner plates – not impressed. machine pump failed after 3 years and could not be switched off apart from at the mains. miele service call had a 2 week wait time. when the engineer arrived he said the pump had gone at a parts costs of $450 and a total estimated bill of $850 to repair. I don't know how the continue to get away with this level of service and cost of parts. I can accept the odd machine might fail now and then.

Rubbish Machine – We have gone away for more than 2months at a time and on each occasion the dishwasher would not work due to a partially seized impeller. The ridiculously expensive call out fee, combined with poor after sales service caused us to throw out the machine after only 4 years use and revert back to a cheap Dishlex.!! No more hassles!!!I own a number of other Miele products but will never buy another!!!Generally a poor appliance

Dinner Plates Too Big – We went for the Miele G 1023 and were disappointed from day one. Like others here we found it just was not cleaning. Not cutlery, not plates, not glasses. We were having to hand wash the dishes AFTER the dishwasher had washed them. Then I discovered the sprayer arm on the top rack was getting caught on the dinner plates and not rotating even… Read more

though our dinner set has the standard sized dinner plate. I can't see anywhere to adjust the height of the racks and it seems 275mm is the standard for dinner plates. If we remove the dinner plates the washer does an exceptional job. Any suggestions on rack height adjustment or dinner plate size appropriate for this washer appreciated. Washes exceptionally without dinner plates.

Worst white goods purchase ever – After getting a good 7 years out of my $450. fisher and paykel, I thought I would go for some German precision....worst decision ever. Never cleaned well, practically had to clean the plates first anyway... Load salt and after the first year wash it through several cycles.... The Miele man said you really should use Miele products $150 later… Read more

still absolute waste of time.

Now at just past 2 years, it will not even properly clean a plate with sauce marks or a red wine glass.

Harvey Norman said they never get complaints, well this $1,000 plus purchase is the worst electrical or white goods purchase of my life....buyer beware

Both times I have called Miele they have protested that this is very unusual....having a look at the reviews I am not Robinson Crusoe with the machine self destructing at 2 years. Looks trendy, goes well with the house Does not work. Leaves my place looking like a pig stye.
