Terrible dishwasher – Bought on 30/6/2010 had nothing but trouble since. They say they are designed to last 20 years, rubbish. Have had the entire electronic panel replaced, the water senser has been repaced, now it needs replacing again, the drying fan is now very noisy and have been told its around $400.00 to replace. Miele are not standing by their product so l will be throwing it as far as I can throw it and will definitly NOT recommend miele.
Same Fault F78 happens to my Miele G1534, 9 Years old, very light use – With F78 , the draining motor (Dishwasher Pump) might be the issue , but in my case draining motor (Dishwasher Pump) is working, So I think the Control board is the problem in all Miele's Dishwasher, I thought I'm the only one have this fault F78 , because Miele customer service acted if it was a rare Fault, until I visited this review, realised… Read more
it is a common issue based on number of customers complains. anyway I called customer service , waiting to see what damage we have. what I understand from the previous review that if the fault was the Control board , they may change it free of charge. I will keep you posted next Tuesday 28 May 2019.
G1534 F78 fault Miele Dishwasher – I have the exact same problem F78, sick of Miele service calls coming out to reset a fault and charging for a reset. These dishwashers should be recalled by Miele or a new sensor supplied and fitted at Mielé's cost. F78 occurred while under warranty, they just reset it with a special tool, then it occurs again and they do the same thing until it is not in warranty and then they charge for the call.
Miele replaced the part with no charge, so they get a big tick on after sales service .
Washes well inferior materials – We have been using this dishwasher for almost 5 years, purchased new and now has quite a lot of rust spots on door edges and fascia. Have had a report done by nominated repair person. But miele are almost impossible to deal with, don't answer calls, phones ring out, poor after service. Very quick to sell product but not so quick with service.… Read more
Great dishwasher as far as cleaning. Would I purchase another, probably not for lack of service when needed. Paid $199 for extended warranty with miele, it is a joke. Cost of repairs quoted at more than half the cost of the unit, they probably won't pay for the inferior products used in manufacture. I had to pay for the inspection report almost $150, just be very wary of the after sales service. Miele is very difficult to deal with. I was warned about this but thought i knew best and went ahead. Forewarned is forearmed.
Wonderful, well worth the money [Edit: expensive to repair] – We bought this on the advice of the salesman: "the cutlery rack at the top keeps the cutlery separated, which means no more rust spots from static build up inside". Is this the real reason for the rust? I don't know but I do know that we've had no more rust spots since. The machine is stunningly quiet, we regularly cannot tell it is on, even… Read more
from a couple of metres. The baskets are very configurable and take a great deal without blocking the spray. Another great feature - the baskets are enamelled, not plastic coated, so no more holes or cuts leading to the baskets breaking down with rust.
The programmes are wide and varied and, while it is only cold fill, the electrical and water economy is very good. It was an excellent investment and led to us buying both a Miele washing machine and a dryer too. Separate cutlery tray, enamelled baskets, economy.
[Edit: after nine years of only three times a week use, the pump failed (our previous Dishlex lasted eight!). The repair cost over $800, about half the cost of the machine and when we challenged them about this, they effectively said "tough". Having recently bought new baskets for the unit (they were beginning to rust) we opted to repair rather than trade up.
Miele make a big thing about their equipment being tested to last a typical 20 years "German engineered and tested to the equivalent of 20 years' average usage." http://www.miele20years.com.au/ - what a load of ****! Clearly that 20 years in a perfect clean lab-like environment is not the same as the real world.
So, while we are happy with the equipment while it works, it appears their longevity advertising is just a load of hot air and we'll be looking elsewhere for our next white goods replacement or when we redo the kitchen.]
[Edit 2: To be fair to Miele, they did offer us a partial refund on the cost of the repair, which made it a bit less painful. How much this will go toward restoring our faith in their products now remains to be seen, based on how long the washer, dryer and over last before needing a repair.]
Reality check – We bought a Meile dishwasher in Oct 2009. A G1534SCU CS for $2400 It,s 3 years and 7 months old. For a few weeks its been giving us Fault124,spray arm warnings. We called a technician who found the fault is with the 'pump' which is going to cost $600 to fix. So much for German engineering and built to last technology, we would have been… Read more
better off buying a cheap washer for $700 from Good Guys and replacing it every 3 years! It washes dishes well when working It's not working anymore
Miele Dishwasher – I bought my Miele about 5years ago and have never looked back, best investment you can buy, it was a little expencive, but when I compare it with other diswashers that my friends have bought and had to replace in the time I bought mine, we have never looked back. The dishwasher cleans better than any other I have had, the cutlery tray is great and its very quiet
Excellent – I was tossing up between a Miele and a Bosch but went with the Miele because of the existing under bench connections in my kitchen-the Miele MUST have hot water connection. This also is more economical as the water doesn't have to be heated up by the machine.Whilst Miele are pricey compared to other brands , I am a firm believer that you get what… Read more · 1
you pay for. The cutlery drawer. The quietness. The easy installation. This dishwasher replaces my old Miele that lasted 16 years. I disconnected the old one and installed this one myself ("nearly 50 year old" female). The cycle I tend to use most takes more than 2 hours.
Good – This dishwasher replaces our 11 year old Kleenmaid. Time will tell if the Miele lives up to the 20 year forecast. Our old Kleenmaid washed and dried brilliantly but was not as quite as the Miele. The old Kleenmaid cost us just under $1600 11 years ago. The new Miele $1799. The price is reasonable for a quality product. The only thing that we… Read more
wished could be better is the Miele's drying of cup and mug hollows. Miele dishwashers are tested to last 20years. Although there is no discounting of price by individual retailers Miele had a promotion on of $200 off their dishwasher range. The machine comes very well packaged and protected when delivered by Miele delivery men. True to their word they phoned 1 hour prior to delivery (even though they were running late). This machine is extremely quite at 42db. Cutlery tray is fantastic and very hygienic. It enables you to pick up your cleaned cutlery by their handles. Miele gave a delivery time of between Mid-day and 6pm. They couldn't narrow it down any better. After taking the afternoon off work the dishwasher didn't arrive until 7.45pm. (too many jobs booked in the one day). Drying could be better. Plates and bowls in the bottom rack dry perfect. Cups and mugs have a puddle of water remaining in the hollow of their bases that does not dry. Leaning them over of course helps but is not always possible depending on the load.
Love Love Love – The best thing about the Miele Dishwasher is the cutlery tray at the top of the dishwasher, it allows your cutlery to actually be cleaned properly as apposed to the cutlery baskets most dishwashers have. It also saves space as well. Very reliable, great service, heaps of room inside Expensive Show 4 replies
