Reliable!! – My Miele G692SCI PLUS dishwasher was purchased in 1999. It was trouble free for 21 years, (occasionally I cleared the inlet drain, as per the manual) until 2020, where I needed to have the door catch fixed. Another year of washing brought it to 22 years before it died in 2021 and cost more to repair than to buy a new one! I will be definitely replacing it with another Miele. Show details

Our faithful old dishwasher – Our g692 ac plus 3 Miele was bought in 2003 and has been a brilliant, trouble-free dishwasher. Very occasional drain blockages quickly sorted. Sadly we now have a software glitch.  Show details

Reliable, Quiet and Efficient – We have had the Miele for over 12 years and have had no problems with it . It seems to be quieter than all others and always delivers an excellent wash. Show details ·  1

Miele dishwasher – I cannot even remember how old is our Miele dishwasher. We don’t know how we lived without it. We have never experienced problems of any kind. It is a great product. Show details ·  1

Long Life Trouble Free – My Miele G 692 SC PLUS was commissioned in April of 2005 and is still going strong! It's been operating per the manufacturer's specifications except for the PC Salt Light Indicator that failed to illuminate after seven years of operation. I'm delighted with the quality and performance of Miele products. Show details ·  1

Long service – Cleans well, never had to be serviced. drying has always been bad. Value is good only if it survives without repair. After 12 years be front panel at the bottom seam is starting to corrode. I am now looking for the latest but the reviews do not mention salient points so I am sceptical as to whether to buy.

Average life span – I've had my Miele dishwasher for about 5 years,I decided to buy one after the salesman said it was the best dishwasher on the market,I have no complaints about the dishwashers ability to wash dishes but it has stopped working and it appears to be the main control board which will probably cost between 400 and 800 dollars to repair. A ridiculous … Read more

amount considering the same dishwasher can be bought for about 1100 dollars. I will not buy another Meile on principle, this is not an acceptable way to back up a product.

The cockroach Story – The cockroach story is total Crap! If anyone has ever taken out the electronics module, you will see that there is no way a cockroach can get in. This is Miele's way of covering up for a faulty electronics module. By the way, a laptop has far more electronics, so why is the Miele module valued at $800 - $900? Only possible answer in this day and age is RIP OFF!

Very Expensive to Maintain – My machine has lasted 6 years and I have been having intermittent problems with the Inlet/Drain light and now the machine will not work. I am faced with a $900 repair bill for a new PCB board, but even if I do pay this, the company cannot guarantee that it will sort out the problem and I will just have thrown good money down the drain (pun… Read more

intended). I originally purchased Miele because of their reputation, but clearly this is misplaced. Other brands have now caught up with their technology. I will not be buying another Miele, nor will I recommend the brand.

Doesn't live up to the advertising and reputation is misplaced

Terrible – I will not repair this machine and will not ever buy another Miele dishwasher. They do not represent value for money. Looks good. My machine is 6 years old and I have just been told that I need new electronic board as mine has been eaten out by cockroaches. The cost of the part is exorbitant as is the call out charge (totals over $800). I expect… Read more

more from Miele, both in terms of reliability and endurance of product, and also cost of parts and repairs which seem unjustifiable

How can the manufacturer be held responsible for cockroaches eating the electronic board out.

Excellent – A great product if you look after it and observe good hygiene practices in the kitchen to prevent cockroach infestation of either dishwasher or food preparation areas. Great dishwasher. Good quality unlike all the other cheap Chinese rubbish on the market. Expensive to repair.

Terrible – too expensive and not a good product. i spent more on a Miele product because I wanted something that i wouldn't have any trouble with. it's quiet. Does not dry properly. After one day the inlet drain blocked and I was told by the repair mechanic that it was my fault. It is broken again after six months and I am expected to pay for costly repairs. Absolutely appalled with product and will not buy any Miele products again.

Excellent – One of the most pleasing and functional appliance of any type that I have ever owned. HIghly recommended to rich and poor alike! Superb results. I can't believe that I never need to clean the filter out in spite of my loading up dirty dishes with crumbs and other residue! None so far. I am cautious about any repair costs.

Bad – Best dishwasher I have ever owned whilst it was running. (Previous have been Westinghouse, Simpson, GE, LG, Dishlex). However when something did go wrong (ie. the very first time) I wasnt able to get it fixed so had to trash the dishwasher. This would not have been the case with one of the Australian made dishwashers. I guess I had bad… Read more

luck, but I cant afford $1200 -$1500 for a new dishwasher every 3 years so doubt I will get another Up until the time it died, it seemed to wash well. Its a lot better than my previous Australian made dishwashers. When something goes wrong it may not be be fixed cheaply - as was the case with mine. And with Miele you cannot purchase extended warranty.

The electronic controller went 1 year after end of warranty. The inlet solenoid, heater element and fan also died. Cost to fix was over $1100. I only paid around $1200 new for it !

To Miele's credit they graciously offered to pay for the cost of the controller which was fantastic. But this wasnt extended to the other parts, so I havent had it fixed. I was told when I bought it that parts were expensive, but also assured that Miele's rarely went wrong so not to worry. I guess I was unlucky.

Terrible – It makes not logical sence to buy Meile unless you change to new appliances every two years after the warrantee expires. I not sure where they get their parts pricing structure, but I feel sure its only benifit ie to improv the bottom line and has nothing to do with the poor old consumer. Keep away its quiet and cleans dishes OK Repair costs are… Read more

out of this world, The electronic control module is quoted at $592.00 (march 09). The unit is susceptible to any small bug that can easily crawl in.Meile will not discuss extending warrantee if this happens even though they do nothing to reduce the chances of it occuring. You have to use a Meile repair man and they charge heavily. No one else sells Meile parts.

OK – Not sure how old it was when we inherited it with the house, but it has worked beautifully for the last 5 years. The only reason we may not get another Miele is the repair cost and concern that the electronic board is so susceptible to failure. If it will last 20 years like Miele claim I think they are good value; but not if you get hit for… Read more

$800-900 after 7 or 8 years! Having read other reviews here it seems this electronics problem is too common. Love the cutlery tray - it cleans really well and is extremely quiet. Ridiculously expensive to fix - repairman quoted $800 for a new electronic board - said it was probably a cockroach - but we spray and haven't seen any in the house!
