Miele G 7104 SCi

Bought this dishwasher from Harvey Norman. Installed and worked great for 2 years. Power button would not turn on all the time but eventually it came good. Then one day the power button would not switch on at all.. I called Miele they said would cost $199 for a technician and an extra $40 for every 15 mins he was here. as I have seen others review about the power button. They should have offered to fix this for free! But have been absolutley no help whatsoever. I bought Miele as I thought it was the best.. unfortunately I was very wrong.

Disappointed with Miele Built Under Dishwasher but the Customer Service Experience was Excellent !! – Very disappointed with Miele. Bought this dishwasher (G 7104 SCU CLST) 5 months ago and it started to make loud noises during the wash. I have only used the dishwasher less than 15 times and it sounded like the old windscreen wipers rubbing on the car windscreen. Couldn't believe this is coming from a Miele Product. I recorded the noise and played it back to one of the sales rep. at a Miele Experience Centre he said its unusually loud and asked me to book in a Service. The next available service date is 2 weeks !! The reason I paid a premium price for a Miele dishwasher is quality and service unfortunately this is not the case. Miele has also discontinued this model.

Miele built under dishwasher – Lasted only 5 years Motherboard needed replacing for the cost of half the dishwasher. Miele customer support no help and accused me of putting shoes in there. problem after problem – From Brand new - error code F84 and doesnt wash anything on the bottom rack, was told by miele instead of using miele tabs use a tablespoon of powder and that would solve the problem, it didnt - now miele blaming the fact that we are off grid - runs the pyrolitic cycle on both Neff ovens fine,runs bosch washing machine and dryer fine - why wouldnt… Read more

it clean the bottle rack of the dishwasher !!, new dishwasher has been in 3months now and i have been trying to get the problem solved since day one of using it - they have sent a great company out to diagnose whats wrong but we arent getting anywhere

Meets all of our expectations. Excellent quality and performance. 12 months in – I was hesitant about spending top dollar, but it was well worth it. The dishwasher is solidly built, easy to use, offers many wash cycle choices. It cleans and drys perfectly every time. The filter rarely needs cleaning - it seems even wash itself mostly. open for drying at end of the cycle, and the short quick 1 hour "emergency" cycle. Best feature for me was the silky smooth and comfortable door operation, which is important when it gets a lot of daily use.

G7104SCU – Ordered machine from Miele Frenches Forest customer Center in November 2021 payed $2500 was delivered in May 2022. you have to press the power button at least 3 times so it turns on. I’ve had 3 service call outs each time you have to wait 40 minutes before they answer the phone then they book you in and it takes about 4 weeks to get a service guy out here ( metro Sydney). When the service tech came out he said it was normal and that’s how they are. So I called customer service and they said that it is not normal and they booked another tech out which took another 4 weeks, the guy was an repair agent for Miele and he said it needs a software update so he updated the software, the problem is still there and each program has extended by 1and half hours even when the express button is pressed. So I spent another 30 minutes on the phone to get another booking which will be on the 11 October 2022. Great looking machine washes well , but after care is dreadful and painful. Go with a cheaper brand doesn’t hurt so much when they break down. Miele if you read this you should be replacing this faulty machine under the Australian consumer guarantee act. I will be submitted a complaint if this is not fixed.

Buyer beware! – Bought new after moving where we had an asko d/w for many years of faultless service. Bought a new G7104. We have had 2 service call outs within 6 months since Oct 2021. Fault F78. Mixed feelings, but all is good – I bought this model of Miele dishwasher on recommendation from a Choice Australia Review, and the support through our local white-goods store. It was ordered in early July 2021 and because of COVID supply chain delays it arrived in December 2021. Contacting Miele, reviewing a troubleshooting website and having service technicians visit, we learn that the fault relates to a “water circulation slide shutter signal function” and requires a service technician to repair. Of course this shouldn’t happen with a ‘brand new’ fresh out of the box dishwasher. I was nonetheless extremely thankful for the Miele technical support team (locally and afar) who assisted to resolve the situation. Unfortunately the unit received just had issues - but the Miele team were very supportive to seek a resolve. The replacement dishwasher works wonderfully, and reaffirms why I have Miele brand loyalty.

Poor quality terrible service – Purchased a new Miele dishwasher to replace very good previous one did not work had it serviced did not work again came back to service it finally a week later apparently no parts and have to wait. waiting last Miele everwas going to get a Bosch but loyalty made me buy Miele as well as a new dryer on the same day it seems great fingers crossed was also because of COVID as well quick replacement would have urged me to write a positive review so if it’s feedback Miele want they have mine absolutely terry and inconvenient

Good but could be better – This dishwasher is excellent at cleaning and drying, and very quiet. Would be 5 star review if the racking was more flexible. In the bottom shelf curved bowls don’t stack very well at all, and there is very little flexibility in folding racks etc. which makes it difficult to load bulky items. contrast the Bosch we had in our previous house had lots of folding racking so you could get just what you wanted. Also for some reason I have to press the on switch 3 or so times for it to start, I presume this is a fault but it’s not major enough to fix.

wanted a bosch, always had them they are great washers. So...Our new miele dishwasher washes dishes yes but it performs no better, actually worse on a short wash, than our previous far cheaper base model Bosch. It's supposed to be super quiet, I think it's a little quieter but we can certainly hear it running. I do love the auto door opening function as the items tend to be reasonably dry when I take them out. It tells everyone "clean dishes inside please feel free to empty me!". What is so disappointing and misleading with this machine is when I researched, all the info I found said it had a rapid/fast wash function and it does have a quick 30 minute wash - but it's not a wash it's just a rinse!! Yep not happy. The quickest actual wash is 60 minutes. Sometimes items come out dirty if they are too closely packed in and we have to hand wash them or put them back in again. Another issue (for me) is this model only comes with the top cutlery tray. We far prefer a basket as you can crack the door and throw in the cutlery quickly. So we use the tray for larger utensils and at a further $70 I purchased a basket. The basket is designed to fit into the corner of the lower tray but the wash arms don't reach fully into the corner so half the utensils often come out just 1/2 clean. I consistently have to press the start button anything from 2 to 10 times for a wash to start. I reported to a technician who visited to fix something he could not help with this problem and had not seen it before I assume its unique to this new model? I find the middle basket laid out quite well but the lower basket not as well laid out and it does not seem to fit as much as my previous machine. Functionally I just can't say it's worth the $2500 price tag. The 2 men who installed it from miele (one had no idea what he was doing) were polite however when I noticed on completion they had not centred the machine in the cavity and there was a big gap down one side they just said "oh well it's installed now you cant move it" and left. I emailed Miele about this and no one responded. When looking to buy the machine, during covid when all goods were hard to get, I called 4 different Miele places - 2 showrooms, the head office I think and a customer service line. Each person gave me a totally different date on when a machine would be available - from 2 weeks to 3 months. I took a chance with the lady who told me "2 weeks" and got the machine in 3 weeks - score. My overall experience with miele is average not bad not outstanding. I would like them to come and centre it in the space but understand that now its been screwed into the cabinetry this may not be very successful. Redesign the basket Miele - maybe centre it in the front of the lower tray - and make the short wash a good strong powerful wash....and introduce an actual wash program that does actually clean things that's around 30 mins like some AEG models have.
