All functions seem to work on our oven, except the lock won't unlock, I were grilling tomatoes opened the door to have a look, they were done closed the door turned the oven off then about 5 mins later could not open the door. I don't know if I pressed anything accidentally I don't think so? tried everything suggested in the manual even trying P Y 1 and P Y 3 clean in hope at the end it would unlock It went through the whole cycle except at the end did not unlock the lock or door Help!

If it’s a pyrolytic oven you might have accidentally pushed the pyro button which locks the door. I’d suggest turning off the power then turning it back on and see if that clears it.

My oven racks look like they have shrunk somehow - the racks fit at the front but don't fit at the back of the oven - which causes the baking tray to slide to the back of the oven and also tip to one side . I took the side glide rails out for cleaning - is there only one way that these fit in - I can't figure out why it's happening but it is quite dangerous as the racks are unstable

Did a level 3 pyro clean at the end of last week, but the oven is still locked! How do I unlock it?

I have a Miele H2661BP oven, it recently stopped heating up fully, i would say it was getting to like 50 or 60 degrees still, ( also, no fan, no bulb) the clock was still illuminated with the correct time and our main power switch board was all ok . I changed the bulb just as a "wonder if this works but probably wont fix it" and it seems the bulb has now made the oven heat up. (i tested it). Is this possible ? it seems a bit hard to believe a bulb would stop the whole oven from functioning ? or did i bump the element or something when i was changing the bulb ?

The grilling element in my oven is in the process of collapsing. It is only 5 years old. How do I fix the problem and how much will it cost. Never had any problems with my old Miele oven. Very disappointed.

Hi there. We have had this microwave for 6 weeks and its been perfect until now. I cant get any power when depressing the power button. There has been no tripping and the internal light works when you open the door. Any suggestions??

Miele
Miele   DM

Hi, thank you for your question. The H2661BP is not a microwave nor has a power button. It is actually the oven. If the power button is not working then first check if the relevant fuse is still on. You are likely to need a service call if fuse is still on. Please contact us on 1300 464 353 or leave an enquiry via external link  and our team can assist you as soon as possible. Kind regards, Shane.

I want to clean between the layers of glass also because I have a spill in between layers which I think is a design fault. I live in a regional town so can’t really call anyone to assist, I am wondering how difficult it is to dismantle and then reassemble the layers of glass in the door. It would not be good if I can’t get it back together properly as is my previous experience with cleaning oven doors, they are never the same again. Help! Colleen

I have a miele H2260B and it seems to take about 2 hours 'cooling' after use! is this normal? or does it need more ventilation? or?

Miele
Miele   DM

Hi George, the cooling fan will run if the oven capacity is above 70 degrees. This is to protect the electronics from over heating. So it is possible the cooling fan will run until it is told by the electronics that it has reached a safe temperature to stop. Kind regards, Jack.

Thanks Jack, i am just surprised from 260 degrees it take 2 hours to cool down to 70 degrees. Could it maybe need more ventilation?

We have Meile Oven - H2261B. Please can you advise how to clean within glass layers of door. Does the door need to come off the oven first? Can you please advise how to access between the glass panes of the door.

Pups

I think that you will have to call Miele. There should not be dirt between the glass panes.

Hi Sally...I had the same issue and was hesitant about taking the door apart. I went to the Perth Miele showroom and one of the staff took apart an oven door to show me how to do it. It was quite easy. However, this was a few months ago, so I doubt whether the showroom is open during this Covid 19 time.

Bought a miele oven 6 years ago thought that it would be a cut about most brands but the heating element fell down due to rust in the hole holding the screw. Very disappointed!

Also, the Miele dishwasher pump is leaking after 6 years and the repair gentleman said the pump and the waterproof part and service is going to cost $1200. My husband and I are disappointed. The repairer said that it was because of a piece of broken glass but isn't there a strainer or preventative measure for broken glasses from wine glasses and drinking glasses. We were given a number to call for a new Miele dishwasher but wasn't given a special rate for a replacement.

Hi, there, my friend bought a Mile oven with pyrolytic cleaning features. We tried the pyrolytic cleaning py 1 last night following the instructions in the manual. The process started at 0930pm. It won't turn off. My friend stopped it at 0230am. May I ask how long does the PY 1 cleaning take? Thanks

Miele
Miele   DM

Hi there, there is no set time for either of the 3 levels of pyro cleaning however it definitely shouldn’t take 5 hrs for py1 which is for a lightly soiled cavity, I think it would be best to have a service call to check operation. If you can please book a service call using external link  or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 464 353. Kind regards, Anna.

Hi there, does the pyrolitic cleaning function for the H 2661 BP include the wire racks, or do I need to remove these and clean them manually? Thanks!

Miele
Miele   DM

Hi Sally, thanks for your question. Please take the wire racks out of the oven as they cannot be inside the oven when the pyrolytic cleaning function is activated. You can just wash the wire racks with hot soap and water. Kind regards, Anna.

Hi Tina, thank you for your question. The fan running during cooking and after completion of cooking is a normal feature of the oven’s operation. Kind regards, Miele.
