i was going to buy the wrong part. they diagnosed the fault , fixed it and were very reasonable on the price after a bit of banter from me ;)

A very BAD and Expensive experience – To start with the oven wouldn't work on installation ,Feb 2014 . Being in a rural area didn't help as no real Miele experts in the area for this high end appliance. operations and I called service, who could not supplier a technician other than the one who took 2 months previously. Eventually found an ex Miele worker who is also Miele endorsed who came and diagnosed the issue immediately, repairs to cost 2250 dollars, he suggested a new oven would be cheaper, and this oven is now discontinued and so part would take significant time to attain. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. The 5499 dollar price tag and Miele "Immer Besser" tag, plus the 20 yr quality testing spiel led me to believe I would not be needing another oven for at least 10 years, with BAD luck.... however this one is only just 5 years old has only done 1100 operating hours and is now useless. Lucky this product is no longer available. It is a lemon.

Lots of features but ultimately disappointing for the price paid – Good when it works and has lots of features. The cooking results were mostly good except for the automatic mode with the food probe where results were variable. 6-7 years of use.

Overall I have 5 miele appliances and have had mixed results with the reliability. The construction quality seems ok (except for a surprising amount of rust on the washing machine), but overall, for future purchases I will be buying a less overpriced quality brand.

Fantastic Oven – This replaced our old Blanco oven. Build quality of the Miele is outstanding, very solid feel to the door for example - try this for yourself in a shop which sells Miele and other brands. Cupboards above oven stay cool, even during pyrolytic cleaning. Food probe with Auto Cook is so convenient when I'm feeling lazy, roasts come out consistently… Read more

great. Also love using the Moisture Plus when cooking vegies, chicken or fish.

Temperature set is reached quickly and remains very consistent, care is required at higher temperatures as this can get much hotter than other ovens.
