We have the same problem as all the others here. The glass of the microwave had gone all cloudy. Please Miele, help us fix this.
Hi Graeme, it took some persistence but Miele are coming fix this in November. Apparently, "there was a batch" of these doors. Both our's and neighbour's had the same problem. Serial No: ....23887
I'm also in this boat, same microwave model, but my serial number seems quite different. Absolutely ridiculous that Miele cannot budge from their standard call out fee regardless of situation and apparently no department that deals specifically with complaints!?

So this is what Miele thinks is customer service in relation to their shoddy product that I paid two and half grand for: Good afternoon Graeme, Thank you for your email. As your appliance is outside of its manufacturing warranty period, we are unable to waive the call out fee for a technician assessment.
If you would like Miele to review the charges, however, you are welcome to send us a copy of your paid invoice after your service, and we can have this reviewed for you. In order to book a service, we must receive agreement to the terms and conditions mentioned in the previous email. If you are not willing to agree to these terms and conditions, we will not be proceeding with a service booking.

Graeme, That is a atandard letter. Try lodging a complaint with Fair Trading. Our microwaves were also out of warranty by 6 months and we didn't have the invoice as they were installed by the builder. Fair Trading will advise that the product should last as long the "reasonable person" would expect. As for the "we must" remember this is a letter written by some mid-level manager trying to coerce. There is always someone far enough up the tree that can wave this and send out a technician. Have you spoken to the Retailer or found their social media. Keep making noise until they hear you.
