Disappointed after nine years – After nine years I have to replace my Miele W3933 as the computer is not allowing the machine to spin. So need to re - spin.. can not use all the programs. I thought it would last longer. Service from Miele is too expensive and to replaced the part I can purchase a new washing machine.. I will be trying a different brand.  Show details

What’s not to like about it , it works as advertised, perfect – Is much of the negative reviews I read about this product and others just simply written by the manufacturers of inferior products ?? Or am I just incredibly lucky that my top quality machine operates as advertised, smooth , quiet and clothes come out smelling and looking great and it’s easy to use ( without reading the manual;)  Show details

A FABULOUS WORKHORSE – Purchased this fabulous front loader about 8 years ago. After much research we decided to fork out the big dollars for this expensive machine. It was the biggest domestic Miele available at the time which we need for our family of five. It has been used once to twice a day for 8 years, and performs flawlessly. It's an incredible machine,… Read more

everything comes our very clean, the spin goes so fast (1600 rpm) it sounds like a rocket about to launch. Clothes come out nearly dry on that high setting. The only negative is I feel most cycles could use a little more water for the wash, but that's just me. This machine is so good it deserves the highest rating. Great example of 'You get what you pay for' UPDATE July 2022, Now we have had this machine for 14 years and my review is still the same. It just keeps ongoing perfectly, same as the day I got it. Fabulous quality.

Five years and still going strong – Overall Miele is the most expensive brand but you get what you pay for and if I work it out over 20 years, it's not so bad. A friend in Melbourne has had her Miele for 30 years and it's still going strong. I had another European brand previously and really do think the Miele is better. I have managed to convert my mother and sisters to this… Read more

machine from top loaders and they agree (reluctantly at first) the Miele is far superior.

All three Miele machines are working perfectly 5 years later. Very quiet. Clothes come out spotless and don't have the beaten up look they have when they come out of a top loader. If anything, it is so gentle, clothes don't seem to wear out as fast as I'd want so I have an excuse to buy something new! I like the fact I can program start/soak/end so it's ready to unload when I wake up or come home from work. I am also using less washing powder because the machine tells me how much to use; there isn't the temptation to think: "A little bit is good therefore more must be better." The flexibility and number of wash choices means I rarely have to have anything dry cleaned. The 1600rpm spin means clothes come out almost dry so it's minimal time on the line or in the dryer.

Terrible – Have to say not happy at the moment but will reserve my opinion pending Miele response to noise and oil stains. worked silently for one month Spring type noise at end of spin cycle developed after one month. Miele replaced shock absorbers to no avail and noise clearly audible to technician. Indicated to listen to a machine at a display centre to… Read more

compare and then take up with Miele. We let it go and is quite noisy now ... is about 6 months old and all of a sudden is leaving significant oil spots on clothes i.e. clothes are ruined.

Excellent – This is the BEST machine with a commercial motor inside it. I thought that it was expensive when I brought it but after using it and seeing how little water it uses (around 41L) and the savings on washing detergent casue it tells me what it needs I would have paid more for it without a second thought. Hubby who couldn't see why it was so… Read more

expensive with to start has now been converted and loves the machine as much as me.

I also got the matching condenser dryer and staking kit with the push drawer.

WELL WORTH THE MONEY. This is the ants pants of washing machines. It DOES everything for you so that you cannot get it wrong.

It tell you as you are loading the machine how much space you have left and then when you close the door it shows you how much detergent to use.

It has programs for everything you could possible think of plus those things that you do not think of.

This machine is so quiet that I often check to see if it is actually on and working.

School socks which used to be soaked, then scrubbed with wonder soap then washed in the old machine now only get thrown in on a sportswear cycle and they come out cleaner than when I spent hours working on them to get them clean.

This machine is also so gentle and washes delicates with extreme care so i have no worries about anything that I throw in the wash. I cannot find anything that I do not like about it.

I love it and wished I had gotten it sooner.

Excellent – Aside from converting from top loader to front loader, which we are very happy with, we are also very pleased with this MIELE product for it's features, quietness and its wash results. It is solid build, the controls are clear and easy to use and the 'honeycomb' drum seems super gentle on clothes. There is just so much to like about this machine.… Read more

We, as per others here are top loader converts. I (male) actually did research and did sell job to the wife to convert - she was reluctant but gave in due apparent 'gentler' wash on clothes and water efficiency. Well she now swears she will never 'go back' and now tells me a) how much she can fit in it ( a full set of towels for family of 4) and b) how much cleaner things are coming out. I dont think we've seen our whites come out true 'white' until we got this machine! Some features we love is the auto valuation of load size and required detergent, as well as the many settings that adjust water and run time according to actual load. We have washed our pillows on pillow cycle, even our curtains on the curtain cycle. Also, for top loader converts like ourselves the 3933 also lets you stop the cycle on many programs at any time (providing water temp and level are within limits) to 'add' to the wash, although honestly you quickly get out of the habit of just throwing things in after a wash has started. Also, as the 3933 has a professional motor it is almost silent during wash cycles - and the 24 hour timer allows you start the wash during the night without fear of waking anyone - we set it up to finish its cycle at 7.00am just after we have woken up, ready to put the washing out prior going to work. Needless to say we are both very impressed and love this machine! LOL even the kids love it - they like to sit in front of it to watch it, and they actually 'want' to help load it and push the buttons. That must be worth an extra star, if it gets the kids (6 & 3) to WANT to help with the washing!! There is not much to dislike. You could say cost, but once you've decided to consider a Miele you know they are high end products. But they are also quality, truly well built and what sold us was their philosophy of them being made to last (and tested accordingly) for 20 years under average family use. To be critical styling could be upgraded a little, although they are far from the ugliest machines available!

Excellent – Unlike my last very expensive top loader that made the washing dirtier/grey/ covered in lint & fluff & grease type marks, this machine is top of the line. Everything washes so clean, uncreased & it uses very little water & detergeant. I have quickly got used to it's many programme options. Loading/unloading is easy & the best feature is the spin… Read more

cycle is so quiet, you can set it to work overnight & know that no one will be disturbed by any noise. Compared to the Bosche which I was considering this is it's best feature. ( Thiswould be invaluable in units etc.) Thanks to everyone who has reviewed recently. It really helped me make up my mind to give Miele a go. I wont go back to a top loader ever. This machine is well worth the money. Gentle, quiet, efficient & it actually washes the clothes brilliantly. Easily fits in the biggest family load for towels & sheets. Some wash choices can only handle about 3kg of washing.
