I've had my Mistral air fryer for 2 months now, it works very well, cooks evenly and is easy to clean. Not sure why there's not as many good reviews. I wanted a cheap one to trial using airfryers. I practically use it everyday & cook all sorts if things in it. I have found I used much less oil & power. I soak for a short while in hot soapy water… Read more
*in the basket not in sink, then ckean and rinse, then you dont have to scrub & wear the coating. I also use baking paper for some things. I love my airfryer. I will get a larger one when this finally ceases working. Plus I got it on special at Woolies
I was absolutely amazed at the negative comments about this air fryer. Ours was 4 years old when it finally stopped working. I paid $45 on special at Woolworths. This air fryer had a hard life bouncing around in our caravan for part of the year and then being used in our kitchen every day. I cannot fault it in anyway. Easy to clean (never went in dishwasher) and cooked everything we wanted. Show details
Average when working – First one broke down after 2 months, got a replacement which worked for 13 months then died of the same reason but out of warranty. If it works it’s fine but it doesn’t.
Over 2yrs daily use for $35, great for the price – We bought one over 2 years ago on sale for $35, we've used it pretty much every day. It works well, especially for the price. Some things to know, when hot, the unit activates the temperature down button itself, so if you've been cooking for 15min and then put it on again it'll take the temp from 200 down to about 150 by itself. Just give it 30… Read more
seconds and you'll be able to control it again. The only thing we've had stick was soft uncooked pastry, so we'd cook that on some grease proof paper in there. It's worth putting some water in the bottom after you've finished using it to help any food come off easy later when you wash it, I think this is similar to what you'd do with any cooking item to avoid food caking on. After 2 years the little rubber feet that hold the base plate up are cracking and coming off when we wash it, they don't seem to sell spare parts unfortunatly.
DO NOT BUY - Awful Product – Coating of the air fryer peeled off in half a year with normal use and handwash. Stopped working in less than a year. Show details
Internal removal Grate plate - issue – This is second one - had an issue with first one - on one part - the internal grate- where you place food - the coating started to flake off. I returned it with receipt to Woolworths - and no problem with exchange . The second one - in quarter of the time I had first one - started flaking - but worst - liken to sheets of paint lifting . Soon as… Read more
it started - I didn’t continue using -concerns of possible toxins / or contamination into food - returned it back to Woolworths for full refund. Not an exchange this time- not willing to try a third time .If the company can sort out the grate issue - I would. As all else was ok. To Note : gentle hand wash only , no scourers , no dishwasher machine ( don’t own one ) nor any harsh chemicals . Please view photos. Thankyou .
Very disappointed – The quality is very poor After less than 10 uses it stopped locking in. It doesn't close, every time I push it in it pops back out. Not recommended, stay away Show details
Everything sticks on the cooking plate – Air fryer works fine , needs an element on light ,so you know when it's preheated enough to cook in , the worst thing is the non stick surface ,food sticks like super glue ,soak it all night and it still won't wash off, and some of the non stick came off after 3 months Show details
Working fine then silent – Working fine for 13 months and then it died. Mainly fish and chips. Occasionally garlic saussage. Cooked well with useful keypad functions. Was a bit loud. Cleaned it up after cooking. The draining tray deteriorated was ok. The rubbers kept good. Still looks brand new. Saw warranty was for 12 months. Might go for one that has more functions next time. My new best friend! – I purchased the Mistral air fryer from Woolies for two reasons; 1) my oven was awaiting a new element to be supplied and fitted. 2) It was on sale from the usual price of $70, I paid $56 for it. The air fryer has completely changed the way that I cook, I rarely use the oven these days, the air fryer is quicker, easier to clean, and my power bill… Read more
has reduced noticably.
The air fryer is simple to use, easy to clean and it looks good on the bench top, and if it's value for money that you are after, and quick efficient cooking, this is a brilliant product.
