My mistral mch11/2400 oil heater does not produce heat. I placed all the points on the timer to the center. This timer has a small switch and I placed it in both up and down position.

I have a Mistral Mach 40 portable evaporative cooler & heater. How do I get the heat function to work?

Angus O
Angus O

To use the heat function on the Mistral Mach 40, switch it on with the switch on the side, then press the blue Mode button twice. Then press the bottom middle "Normal Hot" button once for 1000W heating or twice for 2000W heating. It doesn't seem to be able to run heating on any fan setting besides Medium. Once you're done with the heating, you can press the blue Mode button again to allow the appliance to safely cool before switching off.

Mistral mach10 evaporative cooler heater. Cleaning filter...does the whole back panel come off?

tony88
tony88

Hello Rhondat, It has been a while since I have had this appliance. But from what I remember there are 4 screws holding the back panel on. You need to remove these screws to get to the filter that gets soaked with water. If you are talking about the black filter facing the outside then you only need to take out 1 screw. I hope this helps.

Thank you tony88 will try that!

Mi air cooler & heater is no working. Suddenly did not turn on again. Any ideas?

tony88
tony88

Sorry, I can't really help you on this. If you have the remote for the machine, you can try and turn it on using the remote. It may mean that the fuse inside the machine has broken and/or the wall power socket you plug the machine into is broken and/or something has broken inside the machine. I do not recommend trying to troubleshoot it unless you are experienced in electricals.

I don't have the remote. Where can I carry it for fix?

What happens to the water if you want to store the machine away?

tony88
tony88

You will need to drain the water from machine. You can do this by removing a small plug located at the bottom of the machine. Remember to replace this plug once the water has drained out.

Hi

Just bought a second hand mistal heater cooler. Can anyone tell me what the little door on the side is for?

Does water need to go in for the heater - or just the cooler?

tony88

Hello Jodi,

The little door on the side would be for water when you use it as a water cooler. When using it as a heater you do not add water to the unit.

Tony
